- Emirates, the long-haul carrier known for its luxury services, has set new standards for the way we travel. Like airlines everywhere, the carrier has been battered by the coronavirus pandemic. To keep customers safe and on board, Emirates adopted a variety of new protocols. The company also pivoted to cargo shipments to keep itself afloat. So will Emirates bounce back from the economic fallout pummeling the airline industry?

The Rise Of Emirates
gotta say, flying Emirates to Dubai was first time in my life when I felt flying economy class was nice. Even their economy class felt like an upgrade from North American service
It’s called neoliberalism.
US carriers are just underwhelming in general
Emirates treats there employees like dog's. There a number and replaceable. The working conditions are horrible. Watch all the RUclips videos of former employees that worked for this slave carrier!!!!!
@@brandonlee4322 doubt the other airline carriers are any better though.

Singapore airlines is way better 😀

Haha yes. We all did
Some of the nicest cabin interiors I seen in my life are from Emirates airplanes.

My favourite airlines is Emirates. What our rulers did was to discontinue
Our srilankan airlines partnership with Emirates.what a sad situation
Their economy is far better than what we get in American first/business class
Nah mate their international first/business is better than the economy.
Emirates, Qatar and Singapore business and first classes are no joke and out of reach for most.
"The way we travel.." kind of you to assume I could afford Emirates.
Emirates is actually affordable for most of the rest of the world excluding the US
@@gidd bold of you to assume no one in the US can afford to fly emirates when it’s really not that expensive until you get to first class
Take a look at their J fares. It’s expensive to fly them in business compared to the other airlines flying out of DXB.
@@ryanmccaffery9027 What does that have to do with what I said? are you slow?

Hello friend how are you
I love this airline!!!!! I only go terminal 3 . I have my sky miles. ❤ Terminal 2 Fly Dubai flies everywhere
I always look forward flying with Emirates when I take long flights to Europe. I’m from Asia btw

Should be renamed: How Covid-19 Impacted Emirates Airlines
Emirates is my prefered and favourite airlines to date, COVID 19 has affected all airlines across the globe. However I do hope that Travel demands ramp up soon. I wish Emirates all the best and hopes this pandemic comes to an end soon.
Hands down best airline in the planet even during COVID
I think one of the reasons for the success of the ME3 carriers (Emirates included) is their geographical location from east to west. This might be a bit of a concern in the future as longer flights happen more frequently. In addition, I think the demise of Iran Air that used to be one of if not the largest airlines of the Middle East in the 70s before the Iranian revolution caused an end to the ambitious plans of the time.
Turkish Airlines is creeping into their territory now.
Many people I know used to fly Gulf-based airlines like Emirates, Qatar amd Etihand had now switched to Turkish Airlines in the last 10 years. I myself did, too. So are my siblings.
Last I flew Emirates was in 2003.

I live in Mirdif,Dubai,it’s very close to the DXB airport,so I see emirates planes all day😁
my mom goes to work in mirdif, so everytime i go with my dad to pick her up i get to see the emirates planes (unfortunately i dont get to see the other view from the other terminals where most foreign carriers are). i wish i could take pics of aircraft and post them on my social media, but i dont have a telephoto lens and photography of aircraft is totally banned.
once I was at a café at Emirates headquaters filming the planes and the security nicely asked me to stop. He was very polite and I did it, but I still got a few minutes :)
Same
It live in deira its very annoying especially on a call
I flew with them for the first time this May from JFK to Dubai. The flight going there was
excellent. The staff and service is really good. Coming back it was the worst flight I’ve been on as far as turbulence. The first three hours of the flight on and off. The seat belt light going off and the plane shaking. No explanation as to why. I recently took another flight that had a lot of turbulence but the captain warned us and explained what was going on.
I fly often Emirates, and is really good, probably the best of all airlines that I had,
Very interesting. Keep up the good work.
Emirate is the safe air on the world, I look forward for traveling.
Didnt know Emirares was delivering vaccines. That's awesome
Diplomacy
@Potato perv
Delivering vaccines could generate some cash for airlines that are always looking for funds. That is why almost all airlines right now are all delivering vaccines. Both domestics and international

Once Went to Melbourne flying with Emirates. A380 of course. Was a nice trip. Sad to hear that A380 is phasing out...
A380 I love it ...more leg space, no noise, smooth landings, more corridor space...it is a
shame
I see no difference a380, 777, a350, 787. I fly a lot, but i like them all
Emirates Airlines is the best! Even the long haul flights are relatively comfortable. Their movie database is the best.
Yes it did...I couldn't fly for a year.
The best airline....❤❤❤❤
I used to often fly economy all the time on Emirates when I was living in the Middle East and when I moved to North America and flew economy here Boy was that a downgrade lmao. I can see why people don’t like economy class
I love Emirates Went to Dubai and Bologna nice services
UAE has been doing a great job in all aspects so far. When they invest in something they try to make it the best they can as they understand what customers want. Look how they made a huge tourism industry out of a desert. It has its flaws but it is an extremely safe and peaceful country that is also multicultural. It did so well in COVID crisis as 50% of the population is now vaccinated. It fined anyone who didn't wear masks in public and appropriately applied lockdowns in extreme times, and now slowly they will open things up again. Its leadership seems very practical and aware of the world problems. It is now considering providing citizenship to the "best performing" members of society. I like how they are preserving their ethnicity and how they are preserving their rule. No protests and no social riots. Sure, the entire country feels superficial like an open-air shopping mall. But they have done really, really well given the climate, lack of agriculture, natural resources besides oil. Now it is a central business hub and a financial center. Soon I see a lot of youth trying to make it a tech hub. Leadership really matters. They are doing their best in everything they can and trying to diversify the economy. I just think they can improve in some social nets aspect like protecting human rights, giving citizenship after 20 years, provide some welfare to single parents struggling etc
It is up to the youth at this point and I especially notice that the Emirati youth are very highly educated and aware of problems. I wish them good luck in preserving and improving their country
If Emirates lower their ticket cost:
Me: sheeshhh 🥵 I’m flying for sure
SAME HAHAHAHA
But they won’t because that’s what makes it different. That’s like a designer brand selling stuff at the dollar store, it loses the appeal.
@@ryanmccaffery9027 what are you waffling about an airline is like a bus company not a designer brand
Emirates is affordable to most people depends what kind of seat you are buying.
They're not that expensive. You just need to know when ti buy
You forget to say in the beginning of your report : " this is a paid promotion video".
They're not lying though, if I have to fly overseas, I want to fly either Emirates, Etihad or Qatar
The bad thing we don't have a direct flights to Dubai from Montreal at all but if it happens I would like to see Emirates doing that.
Their food was so good.

I can't either. I'm just waiting for the vaccine! BTW I really want to visit ZRH too. Hopefully next year!

Yes Spirit will always compete on price and thus gain on volume of passengers flying with the airline. However, if you look at the type of passengers flying with Spirit, they are usually younger or low income families. In other words very price sensitive. Therefore these groups or category are more likely to be affected by the pandemic in terms of loss of income, job losses, then they will not pay for travel, especially leisure travel.
Capitalising on price sensitivity is a very fruitful when demand is high, but when demand is very low, as of right now, it can be pretty disastrous, because there isn't the volume of passengers willing or wanting to fly with the airline.
Plus Spirit will operate on much lower margins, compared to Delta or American let's say, with more seats on the same aircraft, and therefore they will not be hitting these margins with less passengers, to even cover costs. Thus cuts of staff and routes are in play.
I miss flying Emirates
Brilliant flight experience but at the cost of treating staff so poorly.
Join the list we are all in the same boat, however the biggest mistakes is getting to greedy and bumping up prices to quickly. Rem: it's not the peoples fault, so dont make them pay more, less is more.!
