Watch how I DIY my own tote bags and some tips for printing on fabric. Noissue Co. sent me some of their cotton totes to print on, and I couldn't resist making them into a silkscreen project. Their totes allow you to choose one color, so I used the opportunity to make a few variations of my design by printing on top of the base print with different neon colors! This definitely cuts down on time I would have to spend registering/lining up my screens and planning if I had silkscreen printed both layers, and it gave me a lot more room to have fun with color variations and printing on both sides of the bag.
Are any of you planning any big fabric printing projects soon--or are there any textile projects you want to try in general? I've found more and more that working with different fabrics adds a new dimension to silkscreen/ screenprinting that I'm really enjoying.
