As someone in healthcare, I want to thank you both for sharing your story. So many people go through things like this feeling alone and ashamed and you publicly sharing your experience really helps decrease the stigma and lets people know they're not alone. You have a lot of power and you're using it in a really amazing way. Kudos!
While we've got you here as a health care worker. What's happening with all these heartattcks that's happening and all those vaccinated doctors that has died...80 I believe
Mad props to Sam for putting this out there. Showing the scars on a national talk show can make it a lot easier for other women to talk about their experiences and talking about the experience makes it easier to process and make it through. She could have easily just buried it and kept the personal life personal but she took a very courageous route that is helping normalize these conversations for everyone
Losing a pregnancy is always incredibly difficult. My wife and I dealt with 3 miscarriages before we were able to have our daughter. It's all worth it man. The first time you hold that baby, look in their eyes, man, the feeling is indescribable. Congratulations to you both, and you'll crush being a father, man.
I appreciate you sharing you and Sam’s pregnancy journey. Many people don’t talk about it period, especially guys, and I think it’s great that you’re exposing your mostly male audience to struggles that they might not be aware of. It helps everyone be more understanding, compassionate and educated. Can’t wait for baby McAfee’s arrival
Congratulations to you both, my son just came home from the NICU after a 2 month long stay. My wife had an emergency C section at 31 weeks and the doctors warned me going into the surgery that I was about to lose them both. So after just starting my leave from work to be at home with my son and getting to listen to you every day again, and then get to hear you talk about all this live was a pretty cool moment, and I can appreciate what you went through. Even though it means nothing coming from some random stooge, you are one tough SOB, and the wife is as well. You’re going to make a hell of a dad, that kid is lucky to have you both as parents. So happy for you both and wish you all nothing but the best.
I'm so happy to hear that your baby boy is finally home after such a scary ordeal. I'm a dad too and while I've always respected women for what they go through to birth other humans, I didn't quite understand just how sensitive the entire process can be until my wife was preparing to give birth. Respect to all the good doctors and nurses out there that hold it down. Salute to all the women like your wife who go through hell to make little miracles and a big shouout to you for staying string as your wife and baby boy went through all of that. God bless you and your new family

Pat, we’re going through the same thing. We’re at 21 weeks now. After a visit with the dr just today, turns out my wife might need emergency surgery because after a battle with placenta previa, her cervix is now too thin. Keeping you guys in our prayers. The way you speak of Sam I know she is a powerful woman! Cheers!

My wife and I have a similar story, still trying very hard to have a child. It’s some of the worst pain to go through. Congrats Sam and Pat I can’t wait to see you guys have a baby! I am going to show this to my wife tonight to show her she’s not alone in the struggle and there is hope!

This is beautiful that you have shared this, I am a EMS provider and it is extremely hard to see couples and families go through things like this, and it is heart breaking when it doesn’t end so well. Proud of you guys for not giving up!
My wife and I went through the IVF process in 2021 and welcomed our baby girl in Dec 2021 - It was a journey. Congrats to you and your wife. Proud of both of you!
Wife had ectopic then a miscarriage. We decided on ivf after failed infertility treatments, failed on the first ivf transfer did a trial then the 2nd transfer worked, we have a 15 month old now and will be trying for a 2nd through ivf in December. Worst experiences in our lives to the best with our son being born.

First time caller, long time listener. This is my favorite segment Pat and the Boys have ever done. Proud of Pat for opening up and the Boys for always having his back. Huge praise to Sam for battling nonstop. Good luck to the McAfee fam on this big adventure. Don’t ever change this show!!
Congratulations. One of your best segments. This one lasts a lifetime, not only for you but, the little one on the way. Your great great great grandchildren will be able to view this and know how beautiful and caring your wife and you both are. Kudos to Sam, she seems like the perfect mom. Congrats again.
Just had our 1 year birthday party over the weekend for our little one. Nothing better than that moment where you become a father. Blessings to you and your wife!
Thank-you and Sam for sharing your Story. I'm always grateful for Husbands and Wives who have the courage to open up about the Struggles and how they got through it all.
Man, Congrats for you guys! My girlfriend had my child at 23 weeks and 4 day and was in the NICU for 4 and a half months, these experiences are completely scary man, women have strength that I can’t even imagine myself having. I hope for a safe delivery for badass Sam and your going to be a fantastic father man!
Way to bring attention to important life events Pat. Appreciate the vulnerability. Refreshing to see raw emotion and appreciation of your wife! Keep up the awesome work!
On my close friend’s wife went through a similar experience that Sam has endured. When my friend announced to me that she was pregnant I was happy for them then he told me the whole story about how it took them 3 years to finally have a kid as she had a couple of miscarriages before and they just introduced their second kid a couple of months ago. Both his wife and Sam are troopers and gives me greater respect for what women go through when it comes to having a kid.
Inspiring due to the fact that we’d never expect situations like this. I’m sure others will agree but I look at pat and all the things he’s doing and it appears to be a perfect life. Behind closed doors there’s so much more going on and he still always shows up with a great attitude, great energy just to make our days better
Been there brother, still in it, sending love. Far harder than many realize. Thanks for the story it helps me and will help all the others going through the same. 🙏❤️
Dude, thanks for sharing this. What a journey. Makes me realize how awesome your wife is and the journey you are going through behind the scenes. My wife and I lost a child as well, but have a healthy baby boy now. You’ll make amazing dad. Keep Sam and you little one top priority, and I’ll be praying the delivery goes ultra smooth!
Congratulations Pat and Wife!! I have so much respect for her as well with helping Animals with Fur The Brand. Gonna be great parents since you’re already nice great people. 👏
Very glad you discussed this topic head on. Wife and I went through and ectopic, a miscarriage and a failed IVF attempt. On October 17th we welcomed a son into our lives and it has changed everything in the best way possible!
Congratulations 🎉 to the McAfees!!! Y’all will be great parents, may God keep you both during this wait for the beautiful blessing to come healthy and happy.
Been through similar issues with our attempts to start a family. Proud of you and your wife. Lean into your village. You won’t know anything and that’s okay. Trust you. Trust your village. Love to you guys
Congrats Pat and Sam. It sure is scary when things like that happen. My wife had a placenta abruption when she was 7.5 months pregnant. Luckily we lived very close to the hospital and there was a doctor that was quick to perform thr emergency C- section. Daughter did struggle a bit at the beginning, spent time in the NICU, but after hearing that i couldve lost not only my daughter, but wife as well, really hits different, but 3 years later and both are doing great. You will both be wonderful parents, i feel things like this just make you stronger and love harder.
I'm watching this with my 6 month old daughter sleeping on my chest, we went through IVF for 8 years before it finally worked. It's an incredible journey, enjoy every second. The first time you hold your kid, every second of the struggle you and your wife went through will be worth it. Cheers Sam and Pat!
This is amazing!! So happy for Pat, and Sam!! Pat, is not only a great player, but great husband as well!! Tell Sam, WE'RE ALL STOKED!! SHES A DAAAAAWG for going through all of that!! What a woman, and what a mother, she will become!
Damn, I was blubbing like a baby during this segment. Congrats to you both. I'm sure you will both be excellent parents. Look at the support group you have around you.
Me and my wife recently had our journey through infertility and IVF and were so lucky to now have our little girl with us now. Sending all of the love and positive vibes to Pat and his wife. I can't imagine what they've been through. Prayers up for you both on having a healthy and beautiful baby.
This made me tear up. And thank god that the doctors in your state aren’t (yet) afraid to be criminally prosecuted for performing these surgeries. I hope this one goes well and being a dad is everything you hope it will be.
Proud of you Pat. It takes a lot from both you and Sam to be this transparent about everything, but you’re helping women across the world. You’re both truly heros and are going to be amazing parents
As someone who desperately wants to be a mom and suffered a miscarriage with my husband a few months ago, thank you for bringing up such a sensitive topic, and congrats to you and Sam!
@@cesarmounts3941 thank you. We are going to start trying again in the next couple months. It was heartbreaking and has taken us some time to recover from but we do want children and we know dwelling on a loss won't help. I'm happy to hear you and your wife have had two beautiful babies!
Congratulations! This story hit home. My wife and I struggled. Many failed natural attempts. She had surgery. I had surgery. We still had to do IVF. 4 failed IVFs. My wife put her body and mind through hell. I felt so numb - the time, money, and emotional and physical pain. My wife soldiered on. We found another provider and they helped make IVF work. Then my wife develops pregnancy induced ITP - her platelets are being destroyed. The level went to 7. Normal is 100. She could easily bleed out. We have to work with oncology to make ilt through the pregnancy with infusions weekly to keep the platelets at a somewhat manageable level. She has the baby, all healthy. Shes so insanse that she puts herself through it again for another baby. Then we have a third, miraculously it was natural conception. But each time she has the ITP and infusions. It was brutal. Giving her those injections during the IVF was awful. Your wife is so strong and it was great to see you recognize her for that.
Damn man. My wife and I agreed after 1 round of ivf and that was we could afford and all she could take. Luckily for us we got some good embryos and had 2 boys 3 years apart from it. Could not imagine going through 4.
@@chriso6042 congratulations, it's a journey for sure. But Pat is right - fertility issues are not talked about enough. Glad he used his platform to shed some light.
This is the best becoming a dad story/ I've ever heard in this format. Sensational Pat. Just the best stuff. You will have the time of your life with this. Good job stud.
Congrats to the McAfee's! My daughter is almost 4 months, and watching your wife be a mom will be the greatest thing, not to mention the change and amount of love you will feel for your child!
Could not be more spot on with how common it is and yet how little it's talked about. My wife and I went through 2 miscarriage's before our son was born and another before our daughter. My wife experienced those exact same feeling of inadequatcy and shame. It's so incredibly difficult on them. I'm a radio host and shared our story on air a couple of years ago and the support I received from listeners was amazing. Huge congrats to you and Sam for sticking it out and sharing your story. You'll be a great dad Pat.
Thanks for sharing. Proud of her and you as well for making navigating those challenges. Wishing y'all nothing but the best. Your transparency may help many people who had no idea about the information you shared.
Few people can make me cry and then make me laugh almost directly afterwards, and I gotta add Pat to the list now lol. My baby girl turned 1 years old just under a month ago, and holy hell has she changed so much for me. Hearing what Sam went through, her determination to be a mother despite almost dying TWICE, enduring so much pain and trauma after what should've been marvelously happy times... man... what an incredible woman. You're an incredible man as well Pat. I know as a soon-to-be father that it's hard to feel like you're doing anything worth a damn for your pregnant partner, that they're going through hell and all you can really do is watch, but being their support person is HUGE to them. My girl made that clear to me, that she couldn't have done it without me even though all I could do was hold her hand and talk her through the moments of pain. Doing exactly that, though, is what they need the most. Aren't women incredible? Your story really hit me hard, because that was my absolute biggest fear the entire time my fiancee was pregnant... All I wanted in the universe was for her and my baby to be perfectly healthy, and I am BEYOND blessed to have that be the reality... but I know the struggle it can be and the impact it can have on a couple, especially the expecting mother. I admire and respect you both so much for making it through those difficult times, for persisting and going through hell to become parents... I don't know if I could've survived a situation where something happened to my fiancee or my baby, and so I think you both are an amazing source of inspiration for myself and for anyone who wants to become parents. You both are going to be incredible parents. That much is clearly evident even from the far away distance that I, simply as a fan of yours watching you on a screen, can see. I can feel how much you care through the screen. Your journey to this point is a shining example of you having all the tools necessary to be an incredible dad. Your wife clearly has all she needs to be the best damn mother possible too; determination, passion, love, strength, and clearly an overwhelming desire to be a mother. Baby McAfee is very lucky to have you guys as their parents. My fiancee and I, and our baby girl Aurora, wish the McAfee family all the good luck and blessings in the world, super excited for you guys and I know you'll do amazing :)
Geez, such an inspiring story of perseverance, toughness, and dedication. So happy you guys were able to reach this point! You and your wife are both Dawgs!! 👏👏

Pat well said brother and sending great vibes your way and you wife is a soldier. My wife and I had the almost the same situation and we now have the most incredible 14 month old daughter!!! Sending you guys love!!!
This is such a selfless and humbling witnessing of your most inner feelings that it makes me (and my wife) appreciate you even more....there is not a more HONEST and PEOPLE person on any media that I know....thank you so much for your open heart.....
Thank you for legitmising the pain people in your position are going through. I have watched my Daughter go through the same thing and be too scared to talk about it. May your god bless you both.

Pat this is awesome. My family has fought this over and over again with generations. So proud of you and Sam, this is awesome! Congratulations man! Gonna be a pretty epic dad man.
Like many this hit really close to home. My wife had 4 miscarriages in a row. The last one she hemorrhaged and nearly bled out. I nearly lost her. It took several years for her to recover emotionally, mentally, and physically. The emotional recovery was the most difficult. She came out the other side. And now we have two boys, one adopted and one biological. She is an amazing mother and makes up for my shortcomings as a father. Congratulations, Pat, and to all of those mothers and couples struggling out there.
Pat Mcafee I’ve been listening to you for years now thank you so much for opening up and talking about trials and tribulations that you your wife have and are going through. My wife is also pregnant, so we have been scared and nervous if our child will be healthy. We were so touched with what you shared about Sam that it truly gave us courage to know we can do this to.
Blessings to you and your wife!
congrats Pat! This kid is going to grow up with a legend of a dad 💯
Thank-you and Sam for sharing your Story. I'm always grateful for Husbands and Wives who have the courage to open up about the Struggles and how they got through it all.
This made me cry, as it hit close to home for me and my wife as well… the biggest Congratulations to Pat & Sam… and best of luck w/ everything!!!❤🎉❤🎉
Best day ever... so happy for you and yours that has been an incredible journey you shared with us your fans. Made my day watching this
Way to bring attention to important life events Pat.
Congrats Pat, enjoy every second with your kid. There really is no bond or experience that compares
Cheers to you Pat for being so transparent and sharing your story. I’m so happy for your family to be brother❤️
Congratulations Pat and Wife!! I have so much respect for her as well with helping Animals with Fur The Brand. Gonna be great parents since you’re already nice great people. 👏
Wow!! This brought straight tears to me!!! Too close to home!!! Pat you will be the best dad!! No doubt!!
What a warrior Sam is!!! All my prayers to both of you.
Wow! Thanks for sharing Pat. Brave of you to share. Congrats to you and your wife Sam. You are an awesome husband and will be a great Dad!
This is by far the best video I've watched of yours. So real and relatable. Thank you for talking about this.
Hey Pat. My wife also had an ectopic. It was scary for us too. Today she is 17 weeks pregnant. God bless brother we got this
Congratulations Pat! You’re going to be a great father! Im so happy for you! I can’t wait to see your kid win the punt, pass, kick competition! 😂❤
Congratulations Pat! We are on our 3rd round of IVF and are now expecting our first child in June 2023. I'm so happy for you both!
This is amazing!! So happy for Pat, and Sam!! Pat, is not only a great player, but great husband as well!! Tell Sam, WE'RE ALL STOKED!! SHES A DAAAAAWG for going through all of that!! What a woman, and what a mother, she will become!
Big congratulations Pat! Being a father is absolutely amazing with so many different joys and experiences!
What an absolutely brutal story. God bless you both for standing strong.
Thank you for talking about this topic with this audience.
Damn, I was blubbing like a baby during this segment. Congrats to you both. I'm sure you will both be excellent parents. Look at the support group you have around you.
This is awesome how u expressed the feelings you and your wife endured and the positive outcome congratulations
Congrats Pat. I'm so happy for you and your wife. Hope you two have a healthy born baby
My wife and I had 2. Now we have two beautiful children. Don’t give up. Ts and ps
@@cesarmounts3941 thank you. We are going to start trying again in the next couple months. It was heartbreaking and has taken us some time to recover from but we do want children and we know dwelling on a loss won't help. I'm happy to hear you and your wife have had two beautiful babies!
Congratulations McAfee family!! Wishing and praying for all the best to come for you all!! ❤️
Big ups to y’all! Being a dad is the best experience!
Thanks for sharing your story and supporting your wife. Way to be a role model for other guys out there!
Thank you so much for sharing! We hurt with you on the pain that has been and are so happy for the kid to come! Congratulations! 🎉
Congratulations 🎉brother!! Wish nothing but the best for you bro!!!!
This might’ve been the most informative and real segment you all have done. Congratulations, Pat.
So happy for them! They’ve been so honest and open! Congrats to them!
So happy for y’all. My wife and I went through a similar thing during her pregnancy. Now we have the craziest little 2 year old ever. Scariest but most rewarding thing ever
So happy for you and Sam! Me and my wife have been going through our own complications. We are hoping to get this kind of good news in the near future! Way to go pal!
Your transparency and authenticity is truly appreciated. Best of luck in your parenting journey!
Feels like a good friend just made the announcement, congrats to both of y’all!
Great PSA for your millions of listeners & viewers! Congratulations to Sam, you, your families & the show! Going to be a great ride with you.
I'm sorry to hear about your family's struggles. I'm glad to hear about the new good news! I'll be praying for you and yours.
Pat this is awesome. My family has fought this over and over again with generations. So proud of you and Sam, this is awesome! Congratulations man! Gonna be a pretty epic dad man.
Was getting emotional listening to this earlier Pat. So happy for you both! Congratulations
Thanks for sharing your story. It's so important for other people who are struggling to hear that they aren't alone.
Congrats Pat!!! It’s been a blessing watching you grow, I’m glad you shared this with us, thank you! Many blessings to you and your family.
I can proudly say today we are through the first trimester and our child is healthy and over the first hurdle. You are not alone in this experience so let’s Hammer Dahnnnnn and do this!!!!!!
So happy for you both, and glad to hear. Just welcomed my own baby girl 2 months ago tomorrow. Its life changing brother, enjoy the journey.
