All their mistakes pile up and ultimately caused the apocalypse they were trying to stop.

@@failedabortion1493 Those were all the reasons why she was vulnerable enough to start the apocalypse. She was clearly okay before Luther, Allison, Klaus, Diego, and Five showed up at her concert. She only used her powers to defend herself. So yes, the apocalypse is Luther's fault as a shit leader.
It's ALL of their faults, but first and primarily their father's fault. Vanya had a full psychotic mental breakdown- out of her control. No one would willingly choose to have one. She was drugged up by her father and he caused her to ostracized by her siblings their entire childhood. They lost Five and Ben and were not allowed to grieve. Their entire childhood was fucked. They were emotionally abused and neglected. Any of them could've stopped Luther from locking her up. Most people don't really understand how a dysfunctional family with an abusive father works. What was she doing at the concert tho (full white violin mode) they said when she finishes the concert the world ends so wouldn’t have it been the same outcome anyways

Yeah, she should not have killed him. I get why she had so much anger at him, since he seemed complicit in the effort to suppress her powers, but he was just as much a subject of Reginald as she was imo so there was a power imbalance if he had spoken up about her. And I understand why they were all afraid of her powers. Regardless, though, she was 4 years old. Couldn't they have at least told her a little later before she became an adult about them, and helped her control it? I guess she would probably still be very angry (understandably) about having that be hidden from her, but hopefully her rage wouldn't have been as intense? I guess we'll find out in S2, since it looks like they're going to try to "fix" the past lol
she depended upon pills which her serial killer lover leonard destroyed on purpose. Without those pills she have difficulty calming her nerves. So yeah, blame leonard, not her

The scene of Leonard yelling at Vanya might be my favorite example of non-physical abuse in any piece of media because every time he hits that book you can feel it
U guys think its vanyas fault cause she is technically the one that causes the apocalypse but you see everyone in vanyas life is at fault, sure they didnt destroy the moon directly but they did destroy vanya emotionally. Everyone is saying how vanya cant blame everything on their father because they all have the same dad but what you guys arent thinking about was that reginald hargreeves isnt the only person that excludes vanya they all did in the cut scene where vanya was destroying their house we caught a glimpse of what vanya had to deal with everyday as a child, that exclusion, manipulation and being called useless made her explode, she only also destroyed the house out of pure rage and killed pogo which yes you could blame vanya for that cause she took out her anger out on pogo but the apocalypse was not all her fault she was just minding her own business at the concert and if luther just listened to allisson will vanya have attacked them NO. The only reason she even shot the mokn was caused while using her power to grab her siblings allisson shot a gun right next to vanyas ear which caused her to lose control and destroy the moon. If they didnt have provoked vanya she wouldnt even be attacking them as you saw her smile at allisson when she was performing. Her going cold turkey on mood-altering drugs doesn't get half as much blame as it should. The pills could've done actual harm to her brain since she was on them growing up, and it definitely stunted her developing any coping methods. Getting taken off psych meds all at once makes you a mess even when they aren't prescribed purely to chemically lobotomize you.

It's not just Luther's fault. It's all their fault. Also, if the brothers really wanted to get Vanya out, they could have. Diego has subdued Luther a lot of times before. Keep in mind all of the brothers planned on killing her during the concert.

@@alanaspinall7147 I see it more as though they tried to get her to channel and learn to use her powers but she wouldn't let them teach her. In that situation I'd certainly try to turn off the switch. The one thing I don't understand is why does Vanya's power act so different than everybody else's? She essentially becomes an alien with how she looks and her power is the only one that can completely control her as if it's not her. Perhaps they are aliens or something that was placed on Earth for some kind of future conflict.
Vanya turning white was a reference to the comics. Her transformation actually has reasoning there, I won't spoil it in case someone reading this is reading the comics or wants to.
It is the way in which Viktor's power manifests itself. like when Wanda's eyes change color. In addition, his power is like another "entity" within him called "white violin"
In the comics, Vanya's entire body is literally white, I think that her hair turning white in that scene would have been a nice and accurate reference to the comics.
I'm not sure. In the comics, Vanya is completely white but she also turns that way a different way in the comics. I think it might've been too much prep time for the actress and staff.
@@_xlampix1439 Actually, if you think about it, it's all entirely Reginald's fault for creating the apocalypse in the first place. We just gonna ignore the fact that the apocalypse is Luther's fault?
It’s all their faults. That’s kind of the point. In one way or another, all of the Hargreaves contributed to the apocalypse, whether it’s by pushing Vanya away, refusing to communicate their plans with one another or just doing REALLY stupid things.
All their mistakes pile up and ultimately caused the apocalypse they were trying to stop.
No it’s vanyas wether you like it or not, what Luther did was completely reasonable.
@@failedabortion1493 Right because being vulnerable and sad ur sister is finding out that she has powers, killed the only person who's ever been supportive of her and seen her as special is a terrible person is her fault. mattchu_chow woah woah woah I ent blaming her for any of that I’m blaming her for blowing up the planet which ent justified in no way whatsoever
Shit usually gets really messy, it's just that they happen to have superpowers.
How ironic to think Reginald wanted his children to save the world but his abusive attitude towards them cause the apocalypse

All she wanted was to play in the concert and get some love from her siblings and Luther didn't let her do either

Perhaps they are aliens or something that was placed on Earth for some kind of future conflict.
Vanya turning white was a reference to the comics. Her transformation actually has reasoning there, I won't spoil it in case someone reading this is reading the comics or wants to.
