Honestly I have goosebumps. This came up in my recommended feed while taking a sunset walk in the forest behind my home.
I have been thinking about your channel on and off for the last 4-6 months. I love the energy you put out, but the numbers have not matched at least my hopes and expectations and probably not yours either. When looking at the channel as a whole - I think it probably has suffered a little bit from the part that also makes it so charming: your scatterbrains. It literally is all over the place.
So I have been thinking about what I would advice you to do, if I could. But it has always stumped on the same fact - the fact that I dont know what your dreams and aspirations are. Because, after 20 years in branding I know one thing: one can not brand a brand to success. A brand has to be built by something real, something that motivates people. And I have had no clue about what would motivate you two.
Bloom as a dream and vision is the perfect northern star, in my opinion. And the narrowing down into 4 elements is text book marketing planning and brandbuilding too. If you follow that path, every minute of content you produce will help build that dream into reality. With time you will become more and more distinct at curating ideas that help you build that brand, the Bloom brand.
I think it is brilliant - so Chapeau bas to that.

Cool that you are being authentic. I just started watching you all about 9 months ago & while I enjoyed your videos, it was a bit like scrolling FB & seeing everyone else's perfect life. Nothing is perfect. Great to see that you all are looking inward some & looking for a purpose beyond having fun. Fun is good! But so is living life! Struggle, challenges, work, etc. It's all part of the kaleidoscope of life! Your hobbies are a perfect opportunity to go there!

Cycling up hill sounds brutal. Our scooter can't even do it 😂
You will manage that the most rewarding thing about it. Even starting with a E-bike it’s very pleasant.
Those hills!! Nothing could have prepared me for them! However they do make special derailleurs for big climbs!
You definitely earn more subscribers, just keep your style, I'm looking forward to go on with you on your future journey!

It's great to have big dreams and goals. Be very clear on how you want to parent together first. It's a big, important job and lifestyle change. People don't talk about it enough IMO. When you have had the flexibility and freedom for as long as you have it is definitely a big adjustment to have a child. The baby making part is fun but the baby rearing and raising is challenging and the first year is hard. Please don't take this lightly and make a plan to parent together. Bloom will be a huge undertaking and combined with a child or two and it's a lot without help. Good luck!♥

I don’t know exactly how many years I’ve been a subscriber but I think it started when you started making Portugal content. ❤❤ so happy for the both of you !! Excited to co time watching your journey! lol ofcourse I feel the same way - turned 35 this year and health is the biggest item on my list. Going back to the drawing board of what makes me feel good. Doing things to keep my family healthy as well. Seeing now the next goals my husband and I want to set up for the next stages. 😊😊😊 thank you for all the work you do on these videos too!!!

I’m 46 and in great shape. Here’s my secret: no vegetable oil, so that means any product that contains it, any food cooked in it. Yes this means most low quality restaurant meals are out of the question. Zero high processed foods: no coke, no snickers, no snack type foods and sauces. Do not go for ‘low fat’, go for double cream, lard, butter. Do eat meat and high protein foods. Then you won’t want too many sugary things(which you must make yourself from scratch). Not too much exercise, but at least one 5km run per week, daily walks of 20mins, weekly weights and resistance bands. Some push ups, pull ups, and rings are good too. Low alcohol.
And stick to it! Make it a routine, a habit, and you can coast through life with the same waistline you had in your 20s, same energy levels.
@@formxshape I'm impressed. I'm almost 69 and I'm in pretty good shape. I maintan my weight and am always working towards improvement. I don't use a lot of oil but I use mostly olive oil and eat plant based and haven't noticed that using it (or not) has made any significant difference. Great if it works for you.

I graduated high school in Canada, went to a good university and got a good job. Got married and had three kids and worked in travel and fun over the last 30 years. I am now about to retire and the kids are all grown up. I am happy I can head out and have the fun stage of life now, but I am in my early 50s so it is not as fun as doing it in my 20s and 30s. I think you both chose the right order to do things. Enjoyed the fun in life when your health is at its best. You will have to work some more over the coming 20 years, but you did it right. I am happy for you both 🙂

I'm 57 and don't feel old or have any health problems or anticipate getting any. It's a myth that at 50 you start getting aches and pains, illness and so on. YES problems come up but it's NOT the age that is to blame. It's LIFESTYLE, so you are on the right path. All the best for your health journey.

I don't know, man... Those parts where he's talking about putting a baby in the oven basically ASAP, getting Amelie pregnant, etc., just don't sit right with me. He sounds obsessed with having a legacy in the form of a child and like he's pressuring Amelie into getting pregnant. Almost to the point of perceiving her as a baby factory.
Where is the part about him actually acknowledging all her pregnancy-related fears? If she doesn't address them and he continues perceiving Amelie's fears as immaturity and fear of responsibility, I don't even want to imagine what may happen if, God forbid, she has post-partum depression (which is very common).

Your plans for 25 accommodations scare the Hell out of me. Have you run a business with dozens of employees, dealt with all the day to day problems, and worked for the tax man for free?
I have, and took a heart attack at 54 with no predisposition except stress.
Stress is the biggest killer under the radar. You should consider your mental health just as much as your diet and exercise.
Sell your house and reinvest with the aim of creating a passive income. You will have a happier life.
Hey, I know what you are saying, and trust me, we've given this a lot of thought. We know it's not gonna be a stroll in the park, but we have already solutions set up to not be underwhelmed by all these things. Reinvesting is of course also something we have considered, but to us there seems to be no safe haven these days. When we look forward and analyse trends, we think that physical, real world experiences will go up in value as society becomes continuously digitalized. Competing in the digital realm is getting ever more tough and competitive, and we believe that connecting with nature will become more popular than ever, as more and more will be opposed to living in a digital realm. We already see it now. People travel more than ever in spite of inflation and high living costs. Online retail shopping has virtually stopped compared with pre c0v1d times. We want to give this retreat out best, and we know we will create something magical. :)

Sorry to say guys, but the channel used to be about fun and good living in some great locations, but sadly it’s now about both of you being self indulgent and a bit preachy. In my opinion, everything in moderation is the key to a good life and not give up things you enjoy to pursue a so called “purpose” which means what exactly. Boring now!
Hey, thanks for your thoughts. It's true, fun-having was the cornerstone of our content, but as you can imagine it wasn't sustainable, as it was based on boozing and eating nonstop. We know not everyone wants change, so we totally understand if people don't want to watch our stuff. Saying "everything in moderation" doesn't apply to everyone - especially not reformed alcoholics such as myself (Joen). I think you should watch the video again with an open mind, as we are actually being vulnerable and even addressing health issues that we need to consider and take care of. Cheers!
