Nisha (she/her) and Rick (he/him) have been together for nine years. Parenthood has taught them new ways to relate to each other and revealed aspects of themselves they hadn't explored before. Their beautiful bond is built on affective communication, honesty, support, vulnerability, and love. They are both striving to become the best versions of themselves, individually and as a team, to set an example for their son. Their deep love creates a safe space in both of their lives, allowing them to feel free to be their true selves.

Usually when the woman is crying and the man doesn't reach out i want to give them the side eye. Even though he didn't reach out till the end it's like his comfort could be felt throughout the whole conversation ❤❤

I keep a deck of these cards, and I find that they help me ask questions my wife wouldn't have thought of otherwise. Sometimes, when we're watching TV, I'll pull out the deck and ask each of us to pull five cards. Throughout the day, we integrate the questions from the cards into our conversations.
It's a great deck of cards for couples. I have the couple's edition! Lastly, after we ask each question, I throw the cards away.

She reminds me of myself. I hold a lot of importance on openness in relationships. It’s not always the easiest way to be, as some people don’t interpret feedback to be a positive thing, but it can really help improve our mental health and the relationship to lay things out on the table and talk about them.
