@@ChrisRainey-ss3nd it wasn't that easy for me from my experience. not defending this murderer, but when i got my CDL back in 2016, scheduling for a road test took everyone almost 2 months. and a CDL learner's permit expires after 3 months so you might not even get a 2nd road test if you scheduled on a bad week. thankfully i passed the first time so i didn't have to deal with all BS, but after covid i could only imagine it's backed up beyond crazy and failing once could mean months and months of setback.

That's a legitimate question. Why was he denied? Is it a secret? Is the reason under investigation?
Some of those truck driving schools in Texas charge $10k. If you don't pass the road test, its money down the drain. And the road test that the state makes you take is nonsense. They make you parallel park. In the real world, nobody is parallel parking a tractor trailer. They preach safety, but they limit how many times you can get out of the truck and look to ensure safety.

I thought that too, I don't think he wanted to die, he would have brought a weapon or lookalike. That's why he stole that truck that looked almost overweight. He wanted to drive straight through the building.
Wouldn't have mattered drove fuel truck for 8 years after I retired from over the road the safety factors on them protect all of that play roll over everyday have accidents how many have you seen that exploded

I can see this being just the start for stuff like this I drove truck for years and what I have seen on the road over the last ten years would never been tolerated when I got my cdl. To many think they are entitle to it and it is scary anymore on the roads not just truckers.

The skills test is fairly difficult without extensive practice. Unfortunately, most companies won't hire with just a learners permit. Therefore, how do you get the necessary practice?
