JC++ // Brain Drops

I went for a funkier feel on this track, and played around with some deeper bass synths. The stretchy smeary sound effects on the plucks at the beginning and end were done using Output's Portal plugin. If I were to re-make this track, I would find a way to make the melody less repetitive, and also come up with a more interesting chord progression / cadence at the second drop. I do like the change in mood with the pad swells and vox at the exact midpoint of the track. And the drums are pretty punchy too. 💦
