You the Man Dennis!
Real interesting. The air comes out of the gap under the burn pot- when there are no screws, the air does not come out when the screws are installed. What am i missing?
Do you notice more ash flying onto the food now?
No we have not, once it hits the heat diffuser and drip pan it has dissipated and fallen to the floor of the smoker instead of going up into the smoking area.
Show me screws installed without gasket, or gasket and no screws.
Do the pellet smokers you sell come with these mods?
Yes, we did implement this mod into our line of smokers
Hi what material is the gasket made of? From the pictures it looks like felt. If it is will it catch fire? How often must it be changed? Also will the pot fit the Pitboss grills? Thanks.
It is a fiberglass gasket. You should be able to keep the gasket in for years at a time without having to switch them out. It depends on the Pit Boss grill, I know they have like 5 different burn pot styles out in the wild as of now.
What do you think about the stainless burn pots ? I need a new pot from rust. I got my smoker free because the original owner was having temp issues.
We make all of our burn pots from stainless and they last for years.
Have you seen anyone mod a grill to add a bottom drop ash pot cleanout to a grill that doesn't have one? My buddy's Camp Chef has one and I've been mulling over how to do it to my Pit Boss.
That is one the we have not seen or done yet
So where do I go to buy one for my grill
