Deidre, all these look fantastic, there wasn’t one that I didn’t love. Even though I’m not keen on all the distressing etc.m these all look so good the way you’ve done them. I really enjoyed this video and all the instructions to do things, is awesome for me and I know I’ve seen you do some of these, or probably all of them, the more I see and listen it sinks in my head a little more each time, so thank you. I just watch so many and everything gets in my head and cos I’m 68 it takes so much longer to sink in. I really appreciate it when the crafters give great instructions during the voice overs. Have a great week and as usual, I’m looking forward to your next video.

I’ve realised that the distressed, old looking, rusty, farmhouse finish isn’t suitable for my part of the U.K. - even though I live in a rural farming community. I’m having to re-think my crafting!

Thank you. I’m in the process of doing just that. But it seems that most people are only buying their decor from places like IKEA or B&M, Poundland or Poundstretcher… that type of shop. Cheap & cheerful, and it all falls apart within a year & goes to the tip! I despair sometimes!

I live in high humidity year round and it never occurred to me that maybe it’s the reason why certain things I do with my art/craft supplies are so time consuming & a struggle. Sometimes I would see something similar on RUclips and ask myself, “What am I doing wrong?”

Is that the Mod Podge that you can still see around the cow print reverse graphic you did? I’ve never done this technique. I did one a long time ago with photo medium and found the process of removing the paper too messy and time consuming. I’ve thought about trying it again but I wouldn’t like whatever that is left around the graphics. If it was a fluke I might consider trying it again. If it’s the Mod Podge residue not so much. I’ve really enjoyed the results I have gotten from using my printer and white tissue paper. I’ve recently experimented with adding color to the original printed black and white graphics. They turned out looking like a watercolor painting. I’m obsessed 😍 and I did it all with an ink jet printer. I’ve had no issues whatsoever. So far I’ve only added them to wood. I’m excited to try other blanks out.

I love every one of these Deidre! I really love some of those frames. That one that was gray and you added that pink I almost cried 😫 but I know you needed to do it that way to go with the flowers, and in the end it turned out really beautiful. Can you tell me what colors were on that frame before you painted it? It looked like gun metal or something like that, with the gray and the black highlights. Idk 😅 but I need to do that, if that made sense 😂 With all that being said, the last one was my favorite. I love how that little tray turned out ❤

I am not a big farmhouse decor fan but your projects and your tips & tricks are so universal they can be applied to any decor style that I choose. As long as you are creating RUclips content I'll be watching because I just keep learning such great techniques from you. 💙 from NC!
P.S. My son-in-law is from Oakland, Ontario. He & my daughter met here in the US while he was on a professional hockey team on our city and she at one time volunteered at the games and then once she stopped volunteering she just was a fan of hockey and they happened to meet online, went on a dinner date and have been together ever since. He retired as a player last year and they are now in Wisconsin where he is a goalie trainer for youth league players. So, hopefully I'll be able to visit Canada one of these days. Covid threw a huge monkey wrench into their large wedding in Ontario in 2020 so we haven't had a chance to visit there yet.

I had a lot more issues using the packing tape with candle wax. It just doesn’t stick well enough to remove much. Duct tape works great. If you want less distress then don’t stick it down fully just kind of lay it on. If you want more do the opposite. It works well for me.
