Hey Lyra, I have a request. Hopefully I'm not asking too much, but I've been using your Pokedex tracker on your site for my Silver living Dex as well. I was wondering if it'd be possible to have a toggle between national dex and regional dex for the checklist? I like having mine in regional dex number, starting with Chikorita. And then Pokemon of the same line like Vileplume and Bellossom can be next to each other, and it's a pain going into my PC and moving Pokemon around when I have to leave to check the in game dex so I know what box to place them in and in what order. Appreciate it! Even if you can't, or don't want to, I figured I'd toss the idea out there. I love your content and using your guide has been a blast!
I'm glad to learn you have been using the website :'D If you ever need to contact me regarding it, you should send me an e-mail (in the About section of my channel or on the website itself). Another new move in Gen 2 that'd be useful for catching Pokémon is Sweet Scent - you can use it outside battle while in grass/cave/water/etc to force a wild battle without having to move. It's gotten right in the gatehouse at the end of Ilex Forest, on the Goldenrod side, if I remember right.

4:50 I can relate to this a lot, especially when I was younger. English may be my first language, but try and get a kid with autism to say "Meganium". Pronouncing Pokemon names was a challenge for me (it certainly didn't help that my not autistic older brother pronounced "suicune" "sue-dice", I have no idea where he got that from lmao). It's for that reason that Plusle is my favorite Pokemon: it's the first Pokemon name I said correctly on my first try! I’m almost 22 now, and I can say that I mispronounce Pokémon names only sometimes. And Plusle is still my favorite Pokémon.

Finally, finished what I was able to complete with only one game boy today, your work was a great help :D Also, there needs to be a section on how to catch the legendary beasts, lost at least 5h on it trying random technique of the internet ^^' Ended up reading disassembled code and accusing my game to be bugged. In the end, mixed and mashed techniques into my own and found all 3 under 10 min :)
First saw the catching in gen 1 is busted video. Liked it so much I've already watched all the pokemon videos :P You really see how much he has improved since the start. Looking forward to many more to come.
I played the hell out of Pokémon Yellow and Silver back in the early 2000s, great times...
Great video, and am loving the series! ive always wanted to do something like this but have never had the time to, but the way you are doing the series it makes it feel like im along for the journey, keep up the great content!
Excellente vidéo, Lyra!
Croc was such a good game love the reference man 😁 Honestly I never played the sequel I should do that some time
7:09 I picked Totodile ~80% of the time I played a Silver playthrough and I never thought of using Rage against Whitney 😅
This was great! You earned a sub I'm looking forward tot he next parts!
I didn't know Bite had a 30% chance to make the opossum Pokémon flinch
Is that a mother effing Croc: Legend of the Gobbos reference in 2022? Props to you. Also, good job with the scripted video, it was some really nice commentary. Can't wait for the next ones!
The commentary was so much smoother than for the gen 1 videos, i'm assuming you wrote a script and it really shows. Great video as always
(also, i'm french too and i'm really impressed with your accent, i'm nowhere near your ability to sound native)
I love the mass destruction reference! Made my day since that’s one of my favourite songs from the persona series
I've recently decided to take on the task of completing every pokedex in each generation. This is the perfect guide I've been looking for
Wow you are improving very much! I’m proud of you
That Croc reference immediately made me sub. Good to see another man of culture.
Automatic like for the Croc reference. Childhood memories unlocked!
If you are referring to the Pokédex tracker, I can add a "Regional Dex" option. I can't give you a specific date though, but it looks like something I should be able to do.
@@Lyra yep that's exactly what I'm referring to! And yes, if I ever need to contact you again it will be via email, thank you. I love your videos so far and I'm looking forward to watching the Gold and Silver recaps as well!
The website has been updated to allow regional Pokédex display!
@@Lyra thank you! Also, a challenge for you if you're interested. I had to play through Red again to get the fossils. I got to Cinnabar and revived the fossils in 3:22, see if you can beat that.
Instant like for the croc reference.

Great job man that was great, looking forward to you finishing it 👍
Another new move in Gen 2 that'd be useful for catching Pokémon is Sweet Scent - you can use it outside battle while in grass/cave/water/etc to force a wild battle without having to move.
It's gotten right in the gatehouse at the end of Ilex Forest, on the Goldenrod side, if I remember right.
just binged pretty much the entire channel. love your videos!!
eagerly awaiting the next part of the gen 2 living dex, and i'd love to see you do more deep dive videos like the gen 2 catching one!
WOWEEEE
Btw do you say Sui-koon, Su-wee-koon, or swee-koon?
@@xXJ4FARGAMERXx sue-wee-cune. I think I watched the second Pokémon movie so many times it eventually overrode sue-dice lol
I can't Bayleef you used bite to flinch Mark's pokemon like that.
6:20 man, it took a poketuber whose first language isn't even English to use the term flinch correctly. Everyone keeps saying their pokemon flinched but their pokemon made opponent flinch. Two completely opposite things.
I usually say I got a flinch. I never say my pokemon did it but I also don’t make videos so whatever lol
Flinched is proper English lol.
Yes, but saying you flinched when you actually made your opponent flinch is not.
I love the ending of this video. You've got all the English curse words correct, but you just can't seem to get "opposing" right. Hilarious!
My man boutta blow up over here. Great videos, can't wait for the next one.
Awesome video as always. Excited for the next one!
Amazing job!
I really want to see this journey next videos!
No ice punch tm on feraligatr for the Claire and Lance fights? Neat.
you seem to be growing pretty quickly, great stuff!
I've been really enjoying your videos! And don't sweat your English, your English is really good honestly
