There are actually ways to force event Pokemon, there is a method to set your dns to what you need to to obtain the event gift Pokemon. The issue will come from what order he gets them from Nintendo... they are (afaik) random, so he might get Karrablast, Keldeo, Meloetta, Zekrom or Reshiram, Zoroark, Genesect, or Shelmet... all before even getting Victini. So idk how he'll do that, if he will just keep resetting his game until he gets Victini, but it's probably going to take a lot of resets, just by the probability of it being NOT Victini alone...

DNS Exploit. You can Link up to a clone Nintendo WFC server that's constantly sending every event for the Gen 4 and Gen 5 games. Meaning you can get the Liberty Pass, or what he's probably going to do is keep trying until he just gets the gift Victini event.

Yeah I wish I did that too, regretably I made a similarly stupid decision in the 2nd video as well but the starter culling isn't continuing any longer. Also thanks, I'm not sure how but the algorithm really is being kind at the moment!

Maybe it is possible with Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon. But it has been a long time since I played that game. I’m not sure if it’s possible to recruit it, without having to recruit any Pokemon later in the dex.
You could have made the weezing catch if you'd had a pokemon with the damp ability(which prevents moves such as self destruct and explosion from working), which I'm pretty sure the poli line have iirc. There's a lot of useful abilities that most people don't actually use because they don't find themselves in the situations they'd need them in normal gameplay. This includes things like intimidate to force out wild mons that are too low level (5 below the intimidate pokemon), which could make finding certain mons easier depending on the spawn table.
I actually didn't know about the intimidate ability doing that outside of battle! Also yeah when I was watching those clips back while editing I wanted to punch my past self for many horrendous decisions lol
@@KillerKiwi1642 yeah, but hindsight is 20/20 as they say. I'm pretty sure bulbapedia has a list of abilities with field effects along with how they changed through the generations. Alot of them I really only learned probably last year. Wasn't a dig at you or anything, but I look forward to watching the rest of your series and hope that information comes in handy!

physical comedy is seeing the spike in replays at the point where you randomly commented the scyther wasn't shiny as if it were a big buildup to a reveal. i rewound it myself to make sure i didn't miss something lmao love this challenge, looking forward to the rest of the videos
Fun fact! you can do the mew glitch even earlier in the game, by using the one hiker in Mt Moon and an escape rope. Also, if you talk to the girl with the pokemon out of it's ball at the bottom of cerulean city (might be the pokemon instead of her, it's been a few years) you will pick up a tm before the mew fight
Interesting video! Just FYI the Mew glitch you used can still be done if you've beaten Misty - simply fight the youngster with a Slowpoke north of Nugget Bridge instead of that swimmer. Make sure not to walk directly up to him, he has to spot you and walk at least one pace.

Long range trainer glitch to get Mew because of the swimmer having a pokemon with the right special stats... haven't seen it used in a legitimate context like this for forever, only to get weird glitch pokemon. Awesome!
definitely possible, basically just dont catch anything thats not up next, and obtain everything in order what would be hard is doing it while seening all the pokemon in order, which is sadly kinda impossible
Awesome vid. It says on your vid that you edited it yourself. Just a tip my teacher told me when I used to edit vids: read the text you put twice and that's how long you should leave the text on the screen.. kinda bummed out you pur them there less than a sec for us to read😆😅
You should add some timestamps - makes it super easy to navigate the vid. Good shit though, keep up the grind cause it's a sweaty one. Having to go back and forth between games with fresh saves gives you some tendie points for sure.
