Would love a NIOD review. A few products to consider:
1. The superoxide dismutase saccharine mist
2. Copper peptide (CAIS 2) which you already have but they have more than one peptide (CAIL 1%)
3. Re-pigment for hyperpigmentation
4. Survival with or without spf
The buffet and First Aid Beauty ultra repair cream are the two products I have to thank for restoring my skin barrier. Which btw, I wrecked myself from mindlessly following influencer recommendations. Now I watch Dr Dray and know better lol thanks for all of the hard work you put in to better informing us. 🌿

On the other hand, I was instructed by my longtime dermatologist to avoid any Ordinary product. When I decided (only 1 time during 20 years of her treating my skin) to buy this particular Ordinary product from the video, took me quite a while to get my skin on healthy track. You tube dermatologists' videos are informative. And that's all they are. Each person's skin is unique, like a DNA + the ingredient lists hugely differ from continent to continent, in this case Europe and USA! As for 'skin care gurues' - not in my radar, let alone buying their recommendations. Even these, you tube dermatologist recommended: writing it down, checking with my dermatologist

I’ve been using Buffet by TO for a month now and my skin has been so soft and supple. It’s amazing. I’m only 22 so no signs of aging yet but it’s better to prevent than to treat 😉

I enjoy putting my sunscreen on with Dr. Dray and her wisdom. I learned how to properly apply sunscreen by watching you trying different ones out. AND I got my dad to start wearing sunscreen more often, especially if he’s going to be working outside.

I know everyone is different, but there was a time a few years back, I had some nosebleeds and it freaked me out because I never got them before. Found out I was low on Vitamin C. I've tried Niod CAIS (copper peptides) and I just found it to be soothing mainly. So yes if you have redness and irritation (and extra money)

I really like 'The Buffet' from TO - I've been using it for a while now. It's a great hydration boost in the morning which really helps if your using Tretinoin and your skin may be dryer than usual.

@@yaselisalfonso4144 Yes just use the buffet first and allow to sink in before your vitamin C. If your using TO 30% in silicone you may have problems as nothing I tried mixes with it, goes under it or over it.
Would love for you to review Alastin’s TriHex peptide (in vivo- punch biopsy) technology and the surrounding claims. They have a fair amount of studies published in reputable dermatology journals.

I wish I had found you when I had a very horrible time with Eczema, it was all over my body, I figured out what to do by trial and error and was finally able to manage and largely heal my skin, I know mentioned eczema is one of your areas of expertise, it just seems there is such poor information out there for the general public, after being formerly trained in the subject I can see I was able to learn on my own what is well established in the literature but I just wanted to mention this in that so much of your information is so helpful to anyone who suffers from eczema but I wanted to mention this as a review of general information and products and protocols for those with dry sensitive and dermatitic skin would be beneficial for those who suffer with these skin conditions
How to incorporate buffet with tretinoin and vitamin c?Please help @dr gray.Many have same confusion.thanks
I use buffet with copper at night right after double cleansing (still damp) then moisturizer. I wait until bedtime (usually at least an hour) to apply tretinoin so that my skin has absorbed the buffet and moisturizer and it’s no long tacky at all. I use the Timeless vitamin c with Ferulic acid in the morning before moisturizer and a mineral SPF60.
It's best to use retinols alone to avoid losing the strength of the retinols. But you can use it with other serums if you want to. I personally use La Roche retinol b3 serum at night. And use the Caffeine serum and Buffet serum from the ordinary in the morning. The niacinamide + zinc serum, also from the ordinary in the evening.
If you use multiple serums, you don't need ro use them at the same time.
@@missusscamper Hey just a fact that anything above spf 50 is a marketing tactic, there isn't anything above so you might not be getting the protection you need. Get an spf that says 50 or less
I use Buffet by The Ordinary...I’m glad you recommend it! However, I use a product with Retinol and apply this first, since I read a Retinol should be applied before other products. I follow with Buffet applied on top. You say to place The Buffet on first. Can you please advise if I’m wrong about my application. Also, could you possibly do a video addressing milia...what ingredients to avoid...what will help get rid of them, etc. Thanks!🥰
You don't need to apply retinol 1st. Some people apply it last or later, especially if their skin is irritated or sensitive.

I use this one as well in the AM! I don’t put it in the same routine as Adapalene and/or benzoyl peroxide.

Funny! It made me a very weird rash. The kind of I never seen, nor had; the texture or my skin was altered, everything went back to normal once I stopped using it. Also, I read something about « the little uglies » (copper peptides...).

Rasha Sarandah I think you can’t use it with vitamin C. If you don’t use that in the am, you’re good.
Not if you're using vitamin c or hydroxy acids. Different people have different opinions though. Also, there are different generations of copper peptides. One is anti-aging and another is for scar/wound healing. But the simplest answer is probably the best.

Copper Peptides seems to contradict with many other ingredients. A quick search on Google online says not to use Copper peptides with Retinoids, Acids, Vit C, Antioxidants, and many more. So I am really confused as to how I can incorporate it into my routine. I currently use The Buffet + Copper 1% on alternate nights and I wonder if that's enough.

Yes but introduce it very slowly. I would use the copper peptides during the day and your rentin a at night. Also you can use the non peptides under your renin a or retinol. But again...everyone is different..so your skin may not be able to handle both at the same time.

Me too I got a reaction, my face turned red, had tons of small bumps and hurt like a bruise or a sunburn. Not sure why it’s supposed to be gentle! It also did the same to my neck. So idk if I could use it anywhere else. I guess I could try my hands. Like you I don’t want to waste it!

Really excited to hear what you think about the NIOD products. I used the copper peptide serum for several months before starting tretinoin and my skin looked the best it's ever looked prior to what it looks like now, on tretinoin.

@@rashasarandah1695 My skin is very adult-acne-prone, and while I use tretinoin to actually manage my acne, I do think the copper peptide helps any break-outs I do get to heal more quickly and with less redness.
I’ve been using The Ordinary’s Buffet for about 1.5 years and it definitely helps my skin feel hydrated all day. It’s particularly good because I use Retin-A and my skin is often a bit irritated.

Kashfia Ahmed I use buffet in AM with their niacinamide and a Q10 from The Inkey List. Then Elta MD sunscreen. Retin-A is at night, when I use Strattia Liquid Gold for barrier function when my face is irritated.

I’m no Dr. Dray but my derm said don’t mix or layer with tretinoin or retinols especially copper peptides. I use my copper peptides on nights where I don’t use tretinoin

So I have the ordinary “Buffet” but I stopped using it because I wasn’t sure how to fit it in with my AM or PM care. Is it ok to use alongside acids? I generally use glycolic and Vitamin C in the morning and tretinoin at night so I wasn’t sure if there were any concerns with that. As usual, thanks for your amazing content. I cannot even take seriously any recommendations where people just describe what is generally only a “nice experience” with products- I need data! Happy Tuesday! 🌸
I would be interested in this as well, since I have a similar routine...salicilic acid in the morning, tretinoin in the evening. I've been holding out on adding new active ingredients over the summer, since I spent a lot of time outside and didn't want to stress my skin unnecessarily. But now, that there is less sun exposure and also less washing and reapplying sunscreen, I'm tempted...

I've just started my 2nd Niod Survival 0. My understanding is that it's an antioxidant combo. I use it at night, after the Buffet, before moisturizers. I use the Timeless vitamin c in the morning. I think it’s ok to use both way. When I asked for my routine from the ordinary, I emailed them and I messaged them on Instagram. On email, they told me to use niacinamide before and on Instagram they told me to use it after buffet

Do they get denatured or oxidised?
On her instagram she said it’s not good to use them together because the vitamin c can lessen the effect of peptides

Try the HA for us . It’s pricey but according to every one it’s the best formula out there!
The Niod copper is an excellent product. I used it for a while and my skin looked great. I changed to the buffet with copper but the Niod is better. The only cons of the Niod are the price and that is very watery. Be careful when you apply it to your skin. Hope you like it❤️
You could look at Acure's Radically Rejuvenating Whipped Night Cream. It is a more affordable dupe of Drunk Elephant Protini
Moose Sarah of No BS Beauty did a video on alternatives to the DE Protini and the Accure was her #1 choice. I know many Accure products have fragrance but this one is supposed to be fragrance free. Accure is a cruelty free brand as well. I’d be interested in seeing a review of the Radically Rejuvenating Whipped night cream.
@@paulachristie7807 It is amazing! I found the last one at Target and have been searching for another for a while, but no luck! It is very, very nice. Very moisturizing and definitely hydrating. I mix in a little of my vitamin C serum with this in the morning before applying my sunscreen. A little amount goes a long way as it is pretty thick. O prefer the Drunk Elephant, but I don't prefer the price. The Acure is a good alternative and the ingredients are very similar to the DE one. It is great for irritation and dryness on the neck from retinol!
kwiet I agree! I wanted to try it cause it looked amazing and I'm so glad I did! I have super dry skin and it's super moisturizing for night time which I love!! Also makes me skin g l o w which is so nice lol!! And it's fragrance free :))

@@kam0406 Is it ok to use on more oily/combination skin? Im 51 and need some peptides but not about to pay for an overpriced DE product. My skin breaks out to easily. Im an esthetician and work for Clinique but every anti aging cream they have is thick and sticky and breaks me out. And to be honest still over priced.
I love all the Necessaire products, especially the body serum which I use exclusively on my face. DRMTLGY's peptide cream, Vitamin C and sunscreen are also amazing. Been using them for the past 6 months and I've seen a significant change in my skin.
Sounds perfect but I’d include tretinoin or a retinol. It's a magic worker. I use a very, very low dose (0.01% not a typo) and over the long term it has really helped my eye area

I use DRMTGY Peptide every night. I keep my cream in the refrigerator. It is a treat in the summer and glides on your face. I have seen significant improvements in moisture and fine lines.

Matteo Santoruvo I use this one and like it, but I would love for Dr. Dray to review it. It can be a little tricky to find just the right level of moisture with this one for me. I layer it under a more occlusive moisturizer, but maybe that’s overkill.

It's really good! I've used it! Bonajour makes a lot of really good moisturizers, the one that's in the bluer packaging is also really good and also the multivitamin one.

Just my personal experience...It’s really good, but it oxidizes fairly quickly. Some people put it in their refrigerators, but another good question is ‘will the formulation be disrupted in the cold of a fridge’? I haven’t dared to try that.
Maybe Dr Dray can address putting skincare in the fridge.
She has said that skincare is formulated to be stored at room temp unless products specifically say to put in frig. Along with Timeless, Maelove, Dr. Brenner, DRMTLGY and Paula's Choice have vit c formulas that are considered dupes for the Skinceuticals one.
Copper peptides can't be used at the same time as Retinol (so I've read) does that mean if the night cream has copper peptides in it, it can't be used at the same time as Retinol or is the amount so small that it doesn't matter?

Where do i use the peptides in my routine with tretenoin ?
Wash, then a serum with peptides if in serum form, if not.. then a moisturiser with peptides and then.. 20 min after or before bed apply tretinoin.
Try the Ayr nasal gel for nosebleeds. My husband and son both tell me it’s helpful for nosebleeds and dry nasal passages.
