Catfish Blues ~ plus hidden bonus track!
    Mercury Cafe'
    Denver, Colorado
    April 7, 1992
    (audio only)
    Chris Duarte ~ guitar, vocals
    John Jordan ~ bass
    Jeff Hodges ~ drums
Posted in loving memory of Jeff "The Auger" Hodges!
You're still here my man! R.I.P.!
Taken from the long out of print Fan Club only release titled Tape Trips Vol. 1 put out on the Aeroliner Fan Club label by Craig Keyzer and myself back in 2002! This is one of the most incredible versions of this song that I have ever heard Chris do! A sound board recording from The Mercury Cafe' in 1992. John Jordan has a broken bass string so to entertain the audience while he changes it, Chris takes off solo for 7 minutes on the beginning of an incredible journey that becomes Catfish Blues! John and Jeff join in about half way and kick it up even another notch for the remainder of the Full Sonic Assault! This is a personal favorite! If you're a fan, you need to hear this!
    WAIT FOR IT........
Hang in for 30 seconds or so at the end of Catfish Blues to catch "the hidden bonus track"!
A smokin' version of a song Chris didn't play very many times and pretty sure he retired it long ago, The Hendrix classic, Bold As Love! Taken from a clean sound board recording from one of the many amazing Fox Theater (Boulder, CO) shows!
A special thanks to those I borrowed pictures off the internet from.
Hope you don't mind me using them in this little project!
    Enjoy...

We saw him at an obscure roadhouse outside Danville, Virginia a few years ago. It was a trio and this cat gets on stage, sits on the floor, and strings his guitar. This was a place with a capacity of 50 max. The guitar now strung and tuned, Chris stood up, plugged in, and the other two strolled in. He is right up there with Joe Bonnamassa (sp), if you ask me... and you didn't...
