For what it's worth (if we find out at all), I'd put money on it being someone who has just suddenly shown up this season. I hope I'm wrong, but he feels the most likely at this stage.
Unfortunately, yes. Introduce new characters to kill them off. After all, that was true for Jupiter and Hornet. For people that had supposedly been working with Keener we knew nothing about them until they showed up in DC. Same for Anderson and Lewis, although they did a better job of working them into the story.
Could be, my money is on (this is a long shot) our Division 1 character or that one female agent (who i don't remember but she helped with the Pentagon missions) that we started the game along side with before going to DC. Can't wait to find out though
@NGN does anyone recall the hunter in the earlier part of the campaign? The one that killed an agent and totally incapacitated us in that building? Could it be that one? Will we see that one ever again? That one had some dialog that was pretty interesting.
@@saxon217 It's that side mission that triggers you being able to start chasing down hunters, right? Do we see the Hunter well enough to know whether they're one that we can kill to get a key? I don't think we do, because we spend half the mission either being shocked or as though we'd just taken some Hyena Spice.
that's too much fun, ubi doesnt like it when we have too much fun, we dont even have a freaking pair of black cargo pants like the swat pants from div 1
They gave us wolf outfits in breakpoint but I bet that was hard for them to do. Cause a lot of games refuse to give us the cool outfits when they are forcing us to be the “good guys”
I’d put Agent Johnson as the number 1 suspect, but it’s still extremely early to speculate. Heck Agent Johnson could get killed in the prime target mission by the Recruiter and then it turns into a boss fight. Also am I the only one who noticed that the guy who gave Mari the division comms last season sounds EXTREMELY similar to Agent Johnson? Idk probably just me but who knows. The theory of more than one Recruiter is mind blowing and could be possible as well.
@@CatLover-gk8uu Well, my theory was off but the accusation was correct. Dude was shifty asf and it sucks when you know his story. From a division agent to killing his fellow agents for Cal’s agenda.
I haaave a suspicions but, maybe just maybe the recruiter was a former First or Second Wave Division Agent. Based on the reveal The Recruiter has a Division watch colored "Orange" so it means it is an active agent or a newly activated one, but i would say the later since for you to be a recruiter you need to be a veteran or someone who's already defied and hunted the odds. For someone to know the key persons in Manny's Circle is the hint we can prove that his Hunter knows everyone Pretty sure the same Hunter who tomahawked Lewis in the White House Siege Who? let's just say she/he someone we knew, but who knows? I mean someone is being MIA or assumed KIA Its model is like the Covert Hunter with typical ballistic armor except it has a cloak with Hunter Insignia Also this is the First Hunter who's voice can be identified, since most of the hunters are either "growling or jammed voice" like on Schaffer's Manhunt. But seriously Schaffer need to effing wake up haha
The new Hunter from the incursion speaks when you kill him. And yes he is technically a Hunter. There are voice comms talking about him being the one that hooked Johnson and Martinez up with the specialized drone at the end. So he’s a Hunter that was undercover inside the cleaners ranks and decided to just throw in with them.
I really don't think its Cindy. She has been there since the start when her name in the subtitles was just "Drone operator" before they gave her a name back around WONY. Maybe it was even the coney island missions just before as Cindy is the guide for there. Kelso... much as I hope they still have big things for her, she seems pretty spent now after Lau.
I’m thinking Agent Johnson gets killed by the recruiter or Johnson is secretly the recruiter. Either way the recruiter’s identity will keep us guessing until that mask is removed. Also fingers crossed 🤞 that the recruiter’s outfit becomes available to rock.
8:22 did we not realize the recruiter has a watch just like the division? This could be mcmanus because he wanted a watch to acess the three ai systems without a brick. This is all major speculation tho.
My money’s been on Mitchell Billings since the day we got his audio logs. The doctor Manny’s trusted to counsel and evaluate his people (including Manny himself) is in the exact best position to gauge who might be be recruitable, to manipulate on behalf of the enemies and to navigate the trickiness of undercover work. Also, he’s in suspiciously good shape. And that thick accent? Great way to throw people off of your real voice if overheard as The Recruiter.
All i know for sure is that if this hunter starts talking in actual words and not robotic animal noises and mumbling like Deceit the entire community is gonna go ballistic.
(Quick tip of the hat to Rob ) I don’t know who the Recruiter is but I’m gonna spend this season blaming everyone. Don’t trust anybody. The Ortiz speculation is a great guess though, as it reconciles the visual differences from the original recruiter sighting and it provides the Descent comms even more relevance. Great vid. I have a few questions I’m pondering , are the Asset and the Recruiter the same thing? Manny at least seems to recognize Johnson’s voice, can our Division-like tech mimic voices? Is the Hunter that killed Captain Lewis of any importance? Why do I hate Manny so much?
Firstly, I'm flattered. Thanks so much, mate. And yes, we absolutely need to do some gaming. Very soon! As usual, love the theories. But what I particularly like is the possibility that there is more than one Recruiter. As you say, the model that we've seen in the previous seasons looks nothing like the one that we have for the manhunt target this year. Which absolutely bears credence to the possibility that there could be more than one. As for it being the Ortiz couple, that would make PERFECT sense. Because, unlike virtually any other Hunter in the game, the Recruiter we've seen has been hanging back and just observing. The one we ran into during the Schaeffer manhunt was trying to kill us. As has every other Hunter - except for the ones that occasionally stalk you through the open world at night. Which is interesting. I was always told that "you were being stalked by a Hunter", but I wonder if this has been all part of the observation that the Recruiter (albeit unnamed for much of that process) has been doing since way back when. And as you can now see clearly from the legacy manhunt menus, the events we've been going through have actually been very close on top of each other. We started in DC in the summer, and the events of WONY were in the August timeframe, but then the activities have been coming thick and fast. The Jupiter manhunt tool place on August 20th, the Hornet manhunt on the 23rd, Schaeffer was the 27th, Faye Lau was August 30th, and then there was a bit of a break. Captain Lewis picked up on September 30th, General Anderson was October 1st, Stovepipe was October 15th, Mari Singh was October 16th, and the current season is probably only a day or so later. So while many days, months, and even years have passed in-game in the context of the day and night cycle, on the game timeline things have been moving very quickly. So when Kelso disappears to NYC it's probably in that period between August and September. And she might have been there a couple of weeks at most. Also have to wonder how this aligns with the timeline that you have been keeping in your notes, because having actual dates on some of these activities does make it very interesting - and so much more detailed. Based on your run through, I agree that most of the characters we've seen don't make any sense as the Recruiter. Although I really would like for it to be someone that hasn't just somehow appeared out of nowhere a la Agent Anderson. That guy is completely out of left field, although I guess we have to trust that Manny knows him. (I always think it's Captain Lewis speaking, even though I know he's dead, so I'm wondering if it's the same voice actor.) It's not Manny. He's a loser. It's not Kelso. Doesn't fit her profile. Even if she potentially had the opportunity. And it really doesn't seem to be any of the minor characters. They're just too not there from a story standpoint. So it will be very interesting as the season progresses to figure out who actually is the recruiter. And you know that I'll be speculating both here and in your DMs. 😁😇
What about Faye Lau? Remember she went Rogue to expose the Black Tusk, and the Recruiter does not engage with us, plus we didn’t have a Death Scene with Faye Lau like when we killed Keener. This Manhunt and the the last one was to Rescue people and bring them back to the Castle. The end of Year 5 Season 1, the drone operator said the Asset was in place. I suspect Manny as the Asset. He would do anything to save Mari. So if Manny is the Asset, and Faye Lau the Recruiter, when Manny is exposed, Faye takes over and we would know the working of not only the Black Tusk, but McManis as well. Just my thoughts.
@@timsho3 Given how committed that Faye was to the concepts of the Division it's difficult to see her as the Recruiter. And while we never saw the body, Kelso said that she was dead and wanted to leave her body for the crows. And given that the devs have said that Faye is definitely dead I don't think she's coming back. Still, it would be a huge plot twist if true. And we don't know what side Homeland is actually playing. Yes the Recruiter seems to have been helping the Black Tusk and Cal appears to have cordial relations with Nat, but is that really the case? Would Cal be on board with Nat running the country, which seems to be what she wants? It feels more like that's something he'd want for himself. And we also have been given the impression that the Recruiter isn't necessarily playing to Cal's script. For example, giving Mari division comms didn't make sense if the Recruiter was working with the Black Tusk. Which actually supports the possibility of there being more than one recruiter. One who is following Cal's directions and one that isn't. Or at least not all the time. I guess we will see how it all plays out.
I'd figured the Ortizes were too important to the government to be dead but HOLY SHIT!!! I hadn't for one second considered them to be the recruiter. I can't wait to see where this all leads! Thanks for the vid, mate! Top drawer as usual!!
I remember watching the Y5 S2 livestream and the hosts saying that the recruiter is someone we already know, alot of people have speculated that he is Kelso, or one of the hostages from Season 1. Personally I like seeing a story wrapped up nicely and would love to see it be the Hunter we encountered in the beginning of the story, that optional mission before going to the campus settlement. The biggest push back against this is that hey that was just one of the hunters that we took down in the same complex but the idea that it was our original test much like Bonney's to take out already established hunters, it would also make our killing of the 12 DC hunters cannon to the story.
I'm a little behind in the lore of the game (took a break after WONY launched), so my first sighting of the "Recruiter" was after rescuing Mari. It seems this character prefers to watch rather than get involved directly. That takes a very specific personality type (one that most of the other known characters lack) Since it's pretty much established that the people behind the Division, BT, Hunters, etc, don't trust each other, perhaps someone is looking for allies. Just a random thought, but what happened to our Div 1 character? I mean, everyone just assumes they're running around Manhattan, but what if that's not the case? Our character just kinda drops off the map. As far as I know, the only one that was in charge of the Division in Manhattan was Fae. What if Kelso left DC to run things, and fill the void Fae left, after she went Rogue.
I'm almost certain the recruiter outfit is so slim due to it being made for our player agent to wear. The devs did give a nod to us, being able to obtain it. (Our agents are quite slim in comparison to some other NPC's) I'm definitely betting on the recruiter being Brian Johnson and him being the Brian Johnson who holds the TAC-50. I doubt they'd use the same name and have it be a new character. Either that or Brian has links to the hunters or another force.
@@luismanalo2027 In the Special Report for the Puppeteers Season. During the Q&A Segment, someone asked if we'll be able to acquire & use The Recruiters Outfit, to which the Devs kinda gave a subtle Nod. I have a feeling it'll have something to do with what they possibly have planned for Textiles in the Future. Cause they did say something about giving Textiles another use as well.
I noticed from the moment I saw the Recruiter from this season that it was probably a female. My first thought was Faye Lau but, I remembered she was killed by the agent, not apprehended like Schaefer. Then I started thinking about Rogue Agents in general. Now I’m thinking it could be one of the females of the 20 agents’ watches we found in D1. Not all we’re confirmed dead, they all have a grudge against the JTF and the 2nd wave agents, they’re trained for combat, and they’ve already been selected to “wear the watch”. This allows the writers to introduce somebody “new”, but also further connects the two games’ stories even further.
Great video yet again mate 👍 Well this season's trailer narrator, the one who gave the comms to Mari atbthe end of last season, and "Agent Johnson" who talked to us in the begining of this season all share the same voice. So the recruiter has to be Agent Johnson or someone posing as him imo
I feel like a star. Having a tweet in one of your vids is awesome. But true about the markings someone in discord did point out that our tac50 does have the same markings
@@NGN The marking are in reference to real-life sniper records, I believe. The current record for longest sniper kill (3,540 meters, in 2017) and previous record (2,475 meters in 2009, roughly matching the "2418 m" on the in-game asset) are both held by the TAC-50, and because of the timeline of The Division, the 2017 record never would have been made. Great video!
I have a theory, remember agent Edwards support side mission maybe the hunter that was in the mission had a model change and it was maybe the recruiter. They most likely didn’t change the model because it’s been so long since that side mission has been out.
Remember a couple of the first echoes we encountered. One with manny and one with two guys in the coffee shop from early outbreak and how something big is coming and we want to be on the right side. Possibly him? Same voice?
My theory is it's our Agent from the first game, and all of this is setting up for the Brooklyn DLC. There are a number of things to support this as well. First and foremost being that our guy has been completely AWOL, which makes no sense at all in the context of WONY. There's also all the special dead drops by Keener that were released at the end of the first game building up to Div 2 - not to mention Keener's infamous "off the leash" comment. And again as you pointed out in that last rescue where the recruiter handed out Division comms, and seemed to genuinely care. The Div 1 Agent is the one major player who has been weirdly absent this entire time with absolutely no explanation, and them being the Recruiter, and the reason we go back to NYC to explore Brooklyn, would be amazing. The only sticking point is that's not until S4, and we're only on S2 - it would fit better if this were S3 and setting the stage. But we could end up with another situation like Lewis, where at the end of the Manhunt we don't actually kill them. Personally I'm waiting for Shaefer to wake the hell up already and fill us in. What he said during his Manhunt has been bothering me the entire time - about how HE was the real Patriot, doing what was best for the nation.
Thanks for that. Wait if that's the case then could we get an echo of the plane explosion from the first game? The one with your agent and Faye. NVM about this comment. After looking at the maps for division 1 and warlords of NY. We don't start in Brooklyn.
My bet is Kelso. So much about her personality screams Hunter lol. Plus she's been MIA lately in "New York"... though, the points you make are good evidence for her evidence, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was her.
Turns out it was Agent Johnson this whole time I figured it was the moment that his rifle was discovered to have been the exact same in the trailer and being that we’ve had some treacherous things happen this season, while also understanding that this isn’t the first time the division have had traitors this is a game of chess not just war and whoever maneuvers the smartest is usually the winner due to them having the better strategy but in this case the ones who move a little more reckless without hesitation to sacrifice wins (us) this will be very interesting.
I love your videos. They are always so thought provoking. I think you may be on to something with your theory of it being the couple behind the AI systems - at the very least it's an interesting concept. Keep up the great work.
The recruiter has gotta be Odessa SAWYER we have not seen her since the end of the base game we do see her talking to schaffer and how he was tryna get her to join her injuries are healed by the end of the game and a split second you can see the recruiter in the trailer is African American and how easily the black tusk stormed the white house bardon also said he would offer protection over Sawyer and her daughter and with the way the division are now maybe it's a tempting choice
I love these videos, wat hing these videos gets me way more intonplaying the playing the game.. and I love the games. But I never or barely ever find all of the back story stuff to make the story progress I have t played much since I beat it. Or thought I beat it. After that j gave only played it a few times. I wasn't sure what the point was. I know I know I should have kept going on. My mistake but starting today I'm going back full time like before. Watching your videos gets me so stoked. I swear you should write for movies 🎬
I really do think that it's Agent Johnson. He pops up suddenly after being gone for how long? And the Recruiter uses a sniper rifle (like Johnson does)? I mean.... (BTW, I'd like to see a rundown of where the "iconic" agents are--I am pretty sure that Caleb Dunne died at City Hall while investigating the Eclipse attack (from the WONY teaser), but where are Ward et al.?
Dunne might still be alive. If you saw the photo for season 9, you see Dunne leading his team of agents (Ward, Johnson, and Melissa Courluka) and in the background was Pentico Nuclear power plant.
So if Manny is the Asset, and Faye Lau the Recruiter, when Manny is exposed, Faye takes over and we would know the working of not only the Black Tusk, but McManis as well. Just my thoughts.
I heard it very differently. The way I heard it was the recruiter warming us of a greater foe and not as a challenge that he or who he works for are super badasses, so his warning is in line with him wanting to recruit us. IF that is what he and his organization wants. Just a different take on it.
I for one would like to believe that Keener is still alive and well, possibly working in the shadows manipulating events building up to a finale battle you'll have with him, although this time you'll be fighting him while he rides on the back of '"Sparkles'" wouldn't that be epic, it would be a sort of Eldon Ring type of battle with a lot of RAGE yelling at the screen, hahaha.
i think it's agent Johnson from this season. if you listen to the voice carefully it's sounds just like him, plus he's the only agent that doesn't have a string alibi
As for Kelso, eh. Kelso is Kelso. She's a paladin (that was her figurine on Manny's map, remember?), and she believes in straight right and wrong--and she knows that Black Tusk is wrong.
Honestly, it was strange for me the announcement where they immediately told us that we would cross paths (possibly in confrontation) with the Recruiter as Manhunt’s target. AAnd this is against the backdrop of the results of the last season, where we still need to rescue other kidnapped members of the White House and find Vik Malek to gain an advantage against the Black Tusks. The Recruiter may have played a behind-the-scenes role in recent seasons, but I still expected the revelation of his appearance in the flesh towards the end.
Ok, so going through the options: Manny, Mari and the Castle settlement survivors are out of the running. The only exception is Malik because everyone has pointed out the resemblance between ODEA symbol and the Hunter symbol. Plus he had access to both systems and connected to both the Ortiz and Natalya. How he tried to eliminate you using others at the retail store shows the passive nature of his violence. I wouldn't be surprised if the end of the malik rescue you don't find him but a clue to the recruiter. Kelso is completely out as an option, after NGN accused her of being a traitor so many times it seems to easy. As well her behaviour and character is a fit for a regular shoot first combat monster Hunter but not a watcher. I'll also throw in that the voice heard in the end of the Mari rescue is male. Along with that the artwork of the current manhunt where the four civillians are behind the Recruiter shows he is much stockier then the civillians so the slight build is not confirmed. Next wild goose chase thought...last person to wear a poncho was Javier Kajika...maybe he's not dead, he was black ops. Now the case of agent Johnson, most likely agent Brian Johnson star of the promotional artwork and the comic. Him being thrown in out of the blue is super suspicious and on par for a terribly poor writing twist in B movies that can be seen a mile away. Now if you read the comics he was stationed at Fort Meade working with the NSA after the outbreak. The NSA has a connection to McManus as shown in the Descent voice recordings. Then he takes up with Dunne and Ward and are shown in everything Division 2 before release and the game intro. While the rifles match and him being a sniper makes for a patient watcher, its not him. The amount of plot armour he has for being the face of division 2, along with his behaviour and trauma suffered before the outbreak in the comics, along with two sets of cosemtics in the game make he extremely unlikely to be the recruiter. I would say he more likely wented back to fort meade and the NSA guys picked up on the Recruiter and he relayed the information to Manny. The Ortiz's is an interesting theory but they seem to techy and civillian to be likely. More likely McManus has them holed up in a secure area producing more tech like the Hunters jammers. But my vote is Vikram Malik...
a side note i would like to add, if theres anyone aside from natalya or mcmanus who knows the identity of the recruiter its probably anderson. one of the previous manhunts involved him investigating the hunters and i doubt he's given up that investigation and now that he's working with the BT he has an inside track.
I think kelso is the next agent to go rogue I’ve been suspicious of her since we took the fight to the outcast strategist her watch breaking and losing comms just never sat right with me
In the trailer, he was wearing an orange watch. This could imply he's a maul inside the program; or they just reused an agent model to make the trailer. He doesn't wear any watch on concept art though.
Haven’t had time to go look but could it have been the recruiter that was watching us from a distance from various locations around DC earlier in the game? If so I wonder if they updated that Hunter’s skin. Makes sense that Hunter would be the recruiter since all he did was just watch from a distance and then walk away.
Great vid really interesting idea with it being the ortiz pair. I always wonder when we'll see a crossover with the division books by Thomas Parrott and games.
People tend to miss a few details regarding the introduction of The Recruiter. For some reason, we see Javier Kajika just randomly outta nowhere. Now, here’s a theory. What if Javier Kajika is secretly the Recruiter BUT is covertly working for the BTSU while working for the Cleaners, just like how Wright did in the Incursion. (I know it sounds crazy) What proves this theory even more is that both Javier and The Recruiter are both specialized in CQC and Long Range Combat (Javier uses a Bow and the Recruiter uses the TAC-50). Javier, like other Hunters in the Division 2, tends to pop out in smoke and run away if they’re spotted by a Division Agent. Javier similarly does his killings like how the Recruiter killed the True Sons in Jefferson Trade Center. (Ik this is not relevant but Javier was also the only Agent to be recruited from Black Operations.) When we also summon the Hunters in NYC, some of the Hunter spawns light up RED CIRCLES, hinting that the Hunters are composed of some Rogue Agents.
The recruiter could be the hunter with the Codename “Bear” who was last seen in Washington. Bears whereabouts are unknown and is the last remaining hunter on the list. Every other hunter is confirmed ‘Killed In Action’
My vote is the psychiatrist we rescued. I seem to recall that after getting him back there was a comm that said "the asset is in place." Also, I'm pretty sure he's the only character we never saw in another assignment or mission. It's possible that Ward, Dunne, and Johnson are recruiters, but unlikely since they're the three characters on the startup screen.
The only thing I can say Is that at no point with these cinematics or they're choosing of dialogue, what is shown in cutscenes and all that other stuff, nothing has been done accidentally we were meant to see the markings on the side of the rifle. Even if it might be that's just what the model has on it, that was shown on purpose now was it shown for the purpose of throwing us off the trail or for the keen eyed people among us who know what where to look?
As this story goes on, I won't be surprised if they reveal that the Recruiter is actually not one person but Multiple people. It will actually make sense in a way why the Recruiter is actually multiple people since each person can review the individual who is being "Recruited" through inspecting them in their area of expertise.
Well we now know Calvin for sure isn't The Recruiter. Something about an Agent going missing who requested Jack to Kenly - what if that was Agent Edwards who we recovered in DC and became our first Hunter encounter. Still curious. Suspicion is starting to rise when Manny mentioned the Shade Server was being interfered when Mari came back and Agent Johnson's name gets name dropped.
They really need to get Anthony Starr to play this character: Character Villain Design: Hunter Commander Victor Kane **Appearance:** Victor Kane cuts a menacing figure, his tall and imposing stature radiating authority and ruthlessness. Dressed in a customized black tactical suit adorned with the insignia of the Hunter network, he exudes an air of sinister confidence. Kane's face, chiseled and perpetually stoic, is framed by a close-cropped dark beard, adding to his intimidating presence. **Mannerisms:** Victor Kane moves with predatory grace, each step deliberate and calculated. His piercing blue eyes, devoid of empathy, convey a cold and calculating intelligence. Kane's movements are precise, every action a testament to his military training and augmented capabilities. His voice, a smooth baritone, holds a deceptive charm that masks the sociopathic tendencies that lie beneath. **Personality:** Beneath the polished exterior lies a heart of darkness. Victor Kane is a master manipulator, adept at exploiting the weaknesses of others for his own gain. His charisma is a tool used to sow discord and instill fear within both his allies and enemies. Kane thrives on chaos and revels in the power he holds over life and death. **Violent Tendencies:** Kane's violence is methodical and sadistic. He takes pleasure in the suffering of others, seeing it as a means to assert dominance. His combat style is a deadly blend of military precision and unhinged aggression. Kane enjoys toying with his prey, relishing the terror he instills in those who dare to cross his path. **Sociopathic Traits:** Devoid of empathy or remorse, Kane sees the world as a chessboard where he maneuvers the pieces with ruthless efficiency. His decisions are driven by a cold logic that places personal gain above all else. Kane's allegiance to the Hunter network is unwavering, and he views the Division agents as obstacles to be eradicated. **Motivations:** Victor Kane's motivations stem from a twisted belief in survival of the fittest. He sees the collapse of society as an opportunity to reshape the world in his image, with the Hunter network serving as the architects of a new order. Kane's ultimate goal is to establish dominance, and he views the chaos unleashed by the virus as the perfect breeding ground for his vision of a merciless, unforgiving world. As portrayed by Anthony Starr, Victor Kane brings a magnetic malevolence to the screen, channeling the same intensity that made his portrayal of Homelander iconic. Kane is a force to be reckoned with, a charismatic and sadistic antagonist who leaves a lasting impression of terror in the wake of his actions.
The recruiter is agent Johnston, they both have a same signature weapon and johnston is apparently "hunting" the recruiter but there's no way he can, the hunters hear division coms, the hunter would have killed him by now.
Wait wait wait bro, Cindy was a Division Agent?? Was that in the Novels or did I just miss something in game? I've been deep into this franchise lore and gameplay so I'm curious.
I’m going to say it on all the videos I hear about the recruiter. It’s Calvin McManus. He is the only one from black tusk that’s has the balls to put a hunter outfit on and still talk. Now the watch part is probably him showing off that we aren’t the only ones that are willing to be agents. He feels like he is trying to fix what he haven’t started yet. Just me explaining my thoughts on this
Lets make this shit simple. Agent Brian Johnson is the recruiter. Cal is the Sec Def--> He ultimately runs The Division--> Agent Johnson is none the less an SHD agent still--> Cal calls on him to do "side work"--> Agent Johnson not thinking other wise bc Cal is his boss in the end--> Cal tasks him to be the "recruiter"--> Agent Johnson does the job but is working both side of the fence (Secret squirrel type of shit)--> in the end Nat is NOT the one pulling the strings, Cal is...making him the "Puppeteer" of this shit. Cal def has plans that he doesnt want Us nor Natalya to know about. Calling it now...watch.

I noticed as well the voices sound way to similar for it be a confidence.
Same
Well, congrats on getting it right pal.
@@CatLover-gk8uu Well, my theory was off but the accusation was correct. Dude was shifty asf and it sucks when you know his story. From a division agent to killing his fellow agents for Cal’s agenda.
I think it could be really interesting. The recruiter isn’t just one person but the head of a particular operation or branch.
“So by this theory, I am The Recruiter”…..NGN being The Recruiter would be THE plot twist of my gaming life.
@@devinthierault His Kiwi roots would make it Weta 😜
Just wanna let you guys know if you replay Lewis and Mari manhunt, the recruiter is changed to the current model
So the old Crimson Mask Hunter WAS a placeholder. Then that would rule out the theory that there are multiple recruiters.
For someone to know the key persons in Manny's Circle is the hint we can prove that his Hunter knows everyone
Pretty sure the same Hunter who tomahawked Lewis in the White House Siege
Who? let's just say she/he someone we knew, but who knows? I mean someone is being MIA or assumed KIA
Its model is like the Covert Hunter with typical ballistic armor except it has a cloak with Hunter Insignia
Also this is the First Hunter who's voice can be identified, since most of the hunters are either "growling or jammed voice" like on Schaffer's Manhunt.
Keep up the great work, NGN
That's who I think it is because when we heard Johnson's voice in the first season... it sounded REALLY REALLY familiar.
8:22 did we not realize the recruiter has a watch just like the division? This could be mcmanus because he wanted a watch to acess the three ai systems without a brick. This is all major speculation tho.
If you rewatch the cutscene were the black tusk attack the White House Natalia said “agent execute” aka it was a hunter
Truth. Or actually HELPS the Division/ our Agent? 🤯
Thank you knowing the back story has got me playing Division 2 again
If you replay the Lewis and Mari manthunt, the recruiter is changed to the current model
@@dronn_ Ooooohhh. That's super interesting.
You were right about Johnson! Good job. The sniper decal was probably just over looked because that is Johnson's rifle.
I'm a little behind in the lore of the game (took a break after WONY launched), so my first sighting of the "Recruiter" was after rescuing Mari. It seems this character prefers to watch rather than get involved directly. That takes a very specific personality type (one that most of the other known characters lack)
Since it's pretty much established that the people behind the Division, BT, Hunters, etc, don't trust each other, perhaps someone is looking for allies.
In canon our div 2 characters are our div 1 characters
@Sadwilly which canon? cause that doesn't make sense.
Our d1 and 2 characters are completely different
@@Sadwilly no thats wrong, why would faye not recognise us then if we rescued all manhatten for her?

I'm almost certain the recruiter outfit is so slim due to it being made for our player agent to wear. The devs did give a nod to us, being able to obtain it. (Our agents are quite slim in comparison to some other NPC's)
I'm definitely betting on the recruiter being Brian Johnson and him being the Brian Johnson who holds the TAC-50. I doubt they'd use the same name and have it be a new character. Either that or Brian has links to the hunters or another force.
Where’d you hear the news about the fit being obtainable?
@@luismanalo2027 In the Special Report for the Puppeteers Season. During the Q&A Segment, someone asked if we'll be able to acquire & use The Recruiters Outfit, to which the Devs kinda gave a subtle Nod.

I also think it's a female. Got my money on Kelso

Well this season's trailer narrator, the one who gave the comms to Mari atbthe end of last season, and "Agent Johnson" who talked to us in the begining of this season all share the same voice.
So the recruiter has to be Agent Johnson or someone posing as him imo
I feel like a star. Having a tweet in one of your vids is awesome.
But true about the markings someone in discord did point out that our tac50 does have the same markings
Regardless, fantastic attention to detail!!
Fun fact... it is a figurine on sale of Brian Johnson holding a TAC-50
Brooklyn dlc? Is that the new one that we get at the end of y5?
@@Fluffysocks3672 yes it's coming with Season 4 and the big rework to endgame
Thanks for that. Wait if that's the case then could we get an echo of the plane explosion from the first game? The one with your agent and Faye. NVM about this comment. After looking at the maps for division 1 and warlords of NY. We don't start in Brooklyn.

Imagine being the Division agent from the Division 1
That's what I'm saying. Everyone assumes he/she is just running around in Manhattan, but are we sure?
Turns out it was Agent Johnson this whole time I figured it was the moment that his rifle was discovered to have been the exact same in the trailer and being that we’ve had some treacherous things happen this season, while also understanding that this isn’t the first time the division have had traitors this is a game of chess not just war and whoever maneuvers the smartest is usually the winner due to them having the better strategy but in this case the ones who move a little more reckless without hesitation to sacrifice wins (us) this will be very interesting.
Tbh i was suprised. Crazy to think this asshole we saw in the trailers was actually the recruiter
I love your videos. They are always so thought provoking. I think you may be on to something with your theory of it being the couple behind the AI systems - at the very least it's an interesting concept. Keep up the great work.
Man I love these videos, it's like a inte brief.

What about Faye Lau? Remember she went Rogue to expose the Black Tusk, and the Recruiter does not engage with us, plus we didn’t have a Death Scene with Faye Lau like when we killed Keener.
NGN IS THE RECRUITER - I knew it all along... 😁
The recruiter is the one character we recruited but never see: the barber
Nothing near the same topic but can the matador drop from countdown named caches
Awesome video again! 👍🏻 But i dont think Recruiter is anyone character we know.
All I know is I want his apparel. The poncho looks sick.
And if there will be a division 3 just give us more hunters ❤

It’s Wally
Not sure if anyone caught it but during the manhunt Cindy asked Sokolova to recruit Wally because she’s a better hacker lol
nice eay to start the day
Brother Halloween is soon, maybe its time to try on that black cocktail dress
It's Agent Johnson you guys know it, He is holding Tac .50 sniper which his favorite weapon
Love your video, as always a banger!
Sometimes I like to think the Hunters/Recruiters are our Division 1 players because if so my DV2 character is fucked.
You voice for those Typ of video is so perfect fitting, if they ever do a movie you should be the narrator voice
great stuff as always🙂
Perfect vid for my lunch break at work! My money's on Cal McManus or possibly even Keener (big swing in the dark here)
People tend to miss a few details regarding the introduction of The Recruiter. (Ik this is not relevant but Javier was also the only Agent to be recruited from Black Operations.)
When we also summon the Hunters in NYC, some of the Hunter spawns light up RED CIRCLES, hinting that the Hunters are composed of some Rogue Agents.
8:48 - OMG, the mystery is solved!!!!
I gotta know WHERE DID YOU GET THAT HOODIE FROM!!!! I DONT HAVE IT!!!!
I love Kelso's pure character -- hoping it's not her...
My money is and has been on Kelso. That would to me be the best and surprising option.
The recruiter could be the hunter with the Codename “Bear” who was last seen in Washington. Bears whereabouts are unknown and is the last remaining hunter on the list. Every other hunter is confirmed ‘Killed In Action’
We just started now getting the recruiter intel when nothing about them until now me the recruiter planted all the intelfor us to find

They really need to get Anthony Starr to play this character:
Character Villain Design: Hunter Commander Victor Kane
**Appearance:**
Victor Kane cuts a menacing figure, his tall and imposing stature radiating authority and ruthlessness. Dressed in a customized black tactical suit adorned with the insignia of the Hunter network, he exudes an air of sinister confidence. Kane's face, chiseled and perpetually stoic, is framed by a close-cropped dark beard, adding to his intimidating presence.
**Mannerisms:**
Victor Kane moves with predatory grace, each step deliberate and calculated.
**Personality:**
Beneath the polished exterior lies a heart of darkness. Victor Kane is a master manipulator, adept at exploiting the weaknesses of others for his own gain. His charisma is a tool used to sow discord and instill fear within both his allies and enemies. Kane thrives on chaos and revels in the power he holds over life and death.
**Violent Tendencies:**
Kane's violence is methodical and sadistic. He takes pleasure in the suffering of others, seeing it as a means to assert dominance. His combat style is a deadly blend of military precision and unhinged aggression. Kane enjoys toying with his prey, relishing the terror he instills in those who dare to cross his path.
**Sociopathic Traits:**
Devoid of empathy or remorse, Kane sees the world as a chessboard where he maneuvers the pieces with ruthless efficiency. His decisions are driven by a cold logic that places personal gain above all else. Kane's allegiance to the Hunter network is unwavering, and he views the Division agents as obstacles to be eradicated.
**Motivations:**
Victor Kane's motivations stem from a twisted belief in survival of the fittest.
He's Fae loa. We never saw her die!!
Man it would be dope if the devs just drops an end game raid out of nowhere but time it will be at the hunters HQ.
I'd put my money on Agent Johnson as the Recruiter based on the latest manhunt :D
Would have been nice if we could have been recruited to be a hunter. I’ve been tired of the JTF be the hero crap.
