I think many Igorrr fans have a similar experience where they first hear his music and it's borderline off-putting but so interesting that you just have to explore more of his music and then it clicks and you realize how masterful his music really is
Unless you heard 'Absolute Psalm' or the live video of 'Tout Petit Moineau' first. Those songs are unlike anything ever written and holy shit is Tout goosebump inducing. I literally teared up watching that video because I was so overwhelmed with emotion.
Igorrr's female vocalist, Laure Le Prunenec whom he uses in a lot of his work, but not too much of it, has one of the best screams in metal (which he jokes his genre is baroque-core, an offshoot of breakcore, more-so in the electronic category), going from operatic vocals straight into it is insane. It's also a beautiful scream. She's in-sane. This is when they signed to Metal Blade and actually got music video budgets going. Before this he's been doing this stuff for well over a decade. Whourkr and Öxxö Xööx are great older projects and the more mellow Corpo Mente is a more recent side-project he did with her as vocalist throughout, and it is pretty incredible on it's own. Dude has synesthesia and this is the stuff that comes out of his brain and pretty quick considering the layering and quality of production.
Well, Igorrr builds his own genre - "Barroque-Core". You should listen to more of his tracks, they are as "weird" as this one ;) Even though i don't think the music is weird, it is art.

I had no shock from the mixture of all the genres, screaming and heavy sound. Although I`m not a fan of heavy music, Igorrr has the perfect mixture for me. It has everything - a range of emotions, out of the box decisions on how the song will evolve and genuine passions and love for music. Igorrr took over my playlist completely. I`ve watched like 5-6 reactions on this song. And always everyone is shocked, confused, laughing. And it somehow makes me happy knowing I dig this type of music, that is really bizarre for others. The two vocalists and the drummer are essentially full members as of now with this new album. Theyre considered breakcore, black/death metal, baroque and trip hop. You should check out Cheval by em. Abut the drums: gautier the composer dj of Igorrr uses recorded samples of musicians that are actually in this clip, and even this drummer did all this shit in the recordings -> you should check out their the making of savage sinusoid part 1 to 3 you would see all this crazy musicians put together into an epic mixed genres music and also check out the dj and the female singer in theband "Corpo-Mente" very nice live sessions and amazing voice
