ShemyDjent what is a bass? Guitar is the only thing that matters in a band. Basslines should only be a single note played in halfnotes for the entire song and the bass players shouldn't be allowed at concerts because bass doesn't matter in songs. Bassists shouldn't make any money and there isn't a single bassist that is famous. Basses should all be burned and replaced by electric guitars.

mogyesz9 old igorrr was a masterpiece, new one is good if you like avant garde metal. The new one is a little bit less innovating but still very good if you're a metalhead.
Breakcore is IDM, just faster, and harder. Squarepusher and Aphex Twin delve into breakcore / drill-and-bass with some frequency, though Aphex does more of it than Squarepusher, who's far more a junglist.
EJ Taylor nah, the genre doesn't define them and they don't constantly bicker about genre, it's just a fun term given to describe a weird but fun music
It really sounds like the old valses* you could hear in the traditionnals village dances (? I don't know a good translation for that kind of event) you found in France, 20 or 30 years ago. I remember when I was a kid, there always was a local little orchestra with an accordion, and a lot of valses, tangos and ofther dances that elders enjoyed. Later in the night, when they were tired, it was time for rock 'n roll, to please the generation of my parents (you know, the actual boomers), and after that, if the village was not too small, you even had a crappy DJ to put more contemporary hits (electronic dance music was the big new thing at that time). *I mean, mixed with metal, of course. :D

Igorrr is one of my favorite musicians! His concept of music is something incredible. You can hear black metal, classic music, jazz, polka in the same song! Awesome!

If this song was animated, I'd imagine it going something like this: A man boards a ship, hoping to get away from his previous sins. On this ship, there is a crew of pirates that say they'll take him to a place where his is welcomed. They start sailing and it seems like it was going to be a long ride; the clouds above them swirling. A storm was approaching. He asked the Captain if they'd find land before the storm hits, but the Captain just said no. The man was now confused, the waves crashing into the ship. The thunder was louder than ever. The sea seems to be a slight tinge of red, and the waves grew drastically. Soon enough, the ship was swallowed by the ocean. The man was frantically trying to get back up to the surface but then he realized, he wasn't drowning. In fact, his whole crew was in there previous spots. "Why aren't we all drowning? What's going on?!" he cried out. "Oh, we didn't tell you about our destination, did we?" a crooked crew mate said with a smile on his face. "You'll see..." As they plunged deeper and deeper into the depths of the ocean, the man noticed that the crew was slowing decomposing. He looked at his own hands and they were fine. A couple minutes later, the crew had turned into red, hellish looking creatures, with horns and tails, sometimes even wings. They all had sickening smirks on their faces, they knew something he didn't. "Where are we going?! I demand to know!" he yelled. "You don't need to know, we're already here, lad." the Captain laughed, well more or less howled. He turned around, only to see a kingdom a fire and suffering. "We said we'd take you to a place where you'd be welcomed, and here we are!" they all laughed at his shocked expression. The man screamed, wanting to go back. But it was too late for him, this was his new home, whether he liked it or not. Oof there you go. This was shitilly written but I just want to get this out because I thought the story itself in my mind was good.
yes, Igorrr has some amazing songs. Probably the most creative band out there... Aside from the all the weirdness, their music is actually put together amazingly well.
And this track "Cheval" is actually on the "easy-listen" end of the wide spectrum that is Igorrr's discography.

"You'll see..."
As they plunged deeper and deeper into the depths of the ocean, the man noticed that the crew was slowing decomposing.
