Ellie Golden Retrospective

On August 14, 2015 The Old Art Building in Leland, Michigan oragnized a retrospective for long time area artist Ellie Golden. Born in Indianapolis, Indiana in 1923 Eleanor Carey Appel identified with art and music at a early age. Ellie attended Vassar College and would go on to study print making and fabric design at Penland in North Carolina and Japan. Ellie Golden has taught art at the Old Art Building since 1960 and at the age of 92 she still teaches Painting on Location.
