lurklingX ... greetings from the UK, thankyou so much for your comment, this box was for two canvases and subsequently I made one for two boards and hence the height of the box seems aesthetically improved. Thanks again, best wishes...John
J Geekie I’m getting set to embark on my first build. Have been watching videos to get ideas. I think this is the first box I saw that included the painting carrier in the same box. Kind of like the sienna, which you can currently buy. I will probably start more simply than this. Just to get the hang of putting things together and using the tools. :) but in the future I will aspire to greatness, and try something more complicated like this. 🙂👏⭐️
Hello - the hinges / bracket at the side of the box are sold by handyman / woodworking shops as hidden shelf brackets. Should be easy to source. Update on box - have used it quite a lot, works well, just need to be aware that lifting pallette can cause paint to fall back towards the hinges and possible enter storage areas.
don't like a hinged palette, I sometimes like to hold the palette in my hand; easier to clean also, if it's removable. only other criticism is that anytime you have little screws or nail heads or shelf supports sticking out from the side of a box, you risk sometime hitting them by accident, and maybe a bloody cut.
Hi - yes I see what you mean. I have tried removable palettes, however this hinged one has worked without a problem, it is one less thing to hold, and I guess spill, cleaning is easy especially as I use watercolour based oils, I have never had any issues with projecting screw heads either. But I will take you points on board and will think about them on my next design. Thanks for the feedback.
this is a really cool design! love the innovation. idk why this doesn't have more likes!

John Geekie Thanks a lot! I am thinking to use it for oil painting, so the fall back might not be a problem.
