    This is great, I'll check out your channel for more ideas. I love making things for painting and I've been thinking about making a new box, I have a little cheap cigar box that I can connect to my tripod and have just started using it, so now I can decide what I'd like different (size etc).

    Sadly that circular screw mount will eventually pull out. Better to use a "T nut" mounted from the inside so the pressure is from the opposite side of the of the panel and not able to pull through. Other than that , nice job. Cheers

      Your right, I've actually replaced it now with a SmallRig cheese plate which I've drilled into the bottom of the box. I'm going to uploading a new video soon where I show the improvements that I've made since

      @@GeorgeFrederickThomas So you got a couple of 1/4 inch screws drill them to attach it to the box and then the thread from tripod goes into one of the free holes? How did it work out?

    Awesome. I made something similar from an old cigar box 2 years ago. Whole thing, thrift store tripod included was under 50,- of material. I'm curious what you use as a pannel carrier.

    Thank you so much for creating this video. May I ask what kind of hinge are you using on the side of the box. I am assuming that keeps it steady when you apply pressure when painting. I found a box at home that I think might work, but it needs that side hinge. Is there a name for that hinge? Thank you!

      I think that this is good for it? no:)? so i would just need to put a hole in the wood but i feel that this is too long maybe the wood is not so thick so it would go thorugh the interior of the box?:) can you also tell me if i want to spray a color on the wood, i would need to spray a woord varnish first ? and after it is dry, i spray the color? and after the varnish again? or is it fine to spray directly the color?

    • @GeorgeFrederickThomas
      @GeorgeFrederickThomas  4 года назад

      @@tusaiistyartist I think that looks good, try adding some extra wood on the interior so it won't stick out on the inside. I would apply a wood primer first and that paint on top of that. The primer will protect the wood so you don't need to varnish unless you want too
