A few hours after my sunset race (shown in the previous video), I got to go out again after the sun was gone. It was just as fun, and doing it at night was pretty cool!
haha no they have a slow lane and a fast lane, the slow lane you cant over take, he was in the slow lane. Its pretty easy to lap people though, when I went I was able to overtake and it went a lot faster than it shows in this vid.
Looks like a lot of fun once you get going but every other video I watched was folks stacked behind someone else. ha ha! Great that you got some open space for a while! That person seriously should've pulled over like at other venues where they have pullouts.
Completely agree, and yea, you really can't go in to this expecting anything close to real kart racing, getting stuck behind someone slow can really be a frustrating experience :)
yep same thing happened to me on the joy and one turn my foot slipped from the brake and I rammed into a slow lady and they stopped the carts to yell at me for over agressive bumping :/
I get they want no one to fall off the boat... but man this is a very narrow and curvy track making it nearly impossible to pass without being extremely aggressive.
You should see Thailand go karts lol 😂 surprised I didn’t see a death or two. Everyone going full blast and pushing people some chick flipped on her side she started to scream.
On our sailing karts were $9.95/pp per race for 8 laps. Not sure on laser tag, we didn't partake and I don't recall what the cost was on the signup sheet, best to check with the line directly to be sure you';re getting the latest info, as I swear I heard rumor of an unlimited pass for the week (covering both) for something like $99/pp, but again, can't verify that at the moment
I literally had the gas pedal pegged the entire time around the track when i drove... this video is proof that most people just suck at racing. We had kids slamming the brakes in front of us and the attendants kept starting them in front. Track is a waste of time.
they are too slow, proof since you has gas peddle pegged the whole time, normally you would be able to easily pass people if they were faster as they were meant to be
@@wazup3333 We were just matched with terrible drivers. To be honest it was me, my brother, and father, all of which have a background in racing. We had the throttle pinned because it was possible. We just got paired up with kids that probably haven't driven anything outside of mario kart.
@@Drivenut4 these are slow, I read that they are 30mph karts and they limit you to go even slower(20mph). thats why you were able to pin the throttle. You really want 45mph karts for a fun experience, you can lookup rpm raceway or k1 on youtube. track layout doesn't look too good either too narrow to overtake

I've read elsewhere that the karts have a few possible speed settings that NCL can adjust them to. No idea what they were set for when we rode, but the speeds were well off what I've experienced before in actual kart racing venues. Think speeds more in-line with karts at a mini-golf place, maybe *slightly* quicker.
People who are to scared to actually drive a go kart like its supposed to shouldn’t even step foot in one. That lady at the start was o annoying and sat in the middle of the track. She should go to the gym instead of go karts anyways

Wasted space on the ship. The cars are not allowed to go above 20mph. K1 gets up to 35mph and that's barely fun.
such a shame could've been implemented much better
electric would be better too. not as loud. Also keep in mind that k1 is intended for actual karting. This is just a family fun event.

Richard Henry I used Chesty, and yes, they allow it (or did when I was on). The only way you can take a camera on the gokarts is if it's chest mounted

you can, these drivers just suck and you'll find that to be the norm if you try to race with anybody on this ship. everyone driving scared.
