    Thanks for sharing your mistakes, it would have been really unpleasant to witness but you're right in that it helps the rest of us. I love this set up, the deep litter walk in aviary method is not uncommon in Australia and it seems a lot more natural for the quail! So nice to see rather than cages.

    Been there, those cute small birds can be vicious to each other. I had previously bought chicks at a local feed store, and I'm just beginning to hatch quail. I think I'll try what some quail breeders talk about - to breed only from quail that don't peck the other's eyes. Of course, I'm using standard size cages, otherwise the raccoons dig or tear open the cages and kill all of the birds.

      @@musicteacher5757 never had that happen I have traps laid out all around the cage cause I lost a lot of cats

    Thank you for the video! I have read that if the inclose is too tall quails try to fly and can almost kill themselves. Did you experience any of this?

      @@marinar9899 I have never experienced this, this coop that I have is just tall enough anything smaller would hurt them
