What are the 8mm silver screws that go above the wheel near the headlights to secure the front bumper called? I have lost my and can’t figure out what they are to buy new ones.

Hey Tim - where did you buy your fender? Was it a replica or OEM from a junkyard? Also did you paint it yourself or was it prepainted? I have a small cosmetic crack but I've been warned against buying aftermarket or painting myself
btw mine is e92 so it's plastic not metal like in the e90s
Hey! I just found a local BMW salvage place that happened to have the same fender int he same color for a pretty good price. I've painted cars before and painting it yourself tends to be a lot of work and more expensive than you'd think... that's why I just bought the already painted fender as it was cheaper than painting a new one.

same thing as you, someone reversed into the bm, wing dead an bumper damaged/clips broken (bumper side)
I put a replacement door on my car. Can the door bolts be adjusted through the wing to align the door once the mud guard is removed?
I would expect that they could be reached but I'm not 100% sure.
@@TimNummy Looking at your vid. The wing is sealed off and the way the door hinges close. You wouldn't be able to adjust the door bolts through the wing.

Hey! I found it from a local BMW parts place that takes wrecked BMW's and parts them out.
Tim, you made it look like you had done that before. BTW I hate those gutless people! The last time it happened to me was in a parking lot at a hamburger place and I think they were still there when I came out because they kept staring at me as I got in the car. The damage was on the passenger side so I didn't even see it until I got out of the car at home.

ebay, junk yard, craigslist, etc. etc. - they aren't hard to find
The bumper is a easy fix fill in, buff, repaint & wax
Could I get the details on what tools you used or maybe just what set you have?
Nothing special - any basic metric socket set and screw driver set should give you everything you need. Also obviously, a jack, jack stands, lug wrench, etc. etc.
When I was a kid, you left a note even for the slightest bump that did no noticeable damage. Of course now you'd buy a paint job for someone for a door ding but this was ridiculous. Character is what you do when no one is looking. Obviously they had none. I'll bet they even thought a BMW driver deserves it. Sad. Great hair, BTW!
I saw a chick door ding someone and bolt away... I jotted down Her licplate # and put a note with my phone number so the guy could get his once perfect paint job fixed...

Once on a very stormy night, I backed into a car parked in total darkness... a black car. I left a note and a year later that SOB called up and claimed... wtf. Who knows what he did to the side of his car that was dinged after one year. Good lord... some people.
Same thing happened to both of my fenders. Even with cameras directly on the car police didn’t find the culprits.
My da sister just backed into my dad's 11 E90 so I will be doing this fix in the coming weeks.

oh tim, you should wipe down the headlight with alcohol to remove the old glue, so the new tint can stick better :xv
First probably one of worst how to on headlight tint. Second you need to be very careful when using alcohol on headlight plastic as some OEM and Aftermarket plastics to not like alcohol they like being sober! Lol some the plastic will break down faster, Crack very soon after using, discolor, best to avoid using alcohol!! Goof off is what he and would use that before alcohol it gets rid of anything best stuff around for adhesive removal. But whatever you use wash with mild soap and rinse with water. As for tint job look up Headlight Armor videos their very informative. As with any how to videos I would stay away as much as possible from videos made in the driveway or side of a trailer park try and find ones made out of a shop place of bussiness sometimes dont have a choice but those videos they will tell you the right tools for job, material, and safety precautions. Not a guy putting on headlight tint with his hand Lmfao. You would use a squeegee
