My mom was in a James Fitzpatrick travel short in 1955. It was called, "VistaVision Visits Hawaii". Would love to see it.

At 3:30 is My husband’s Grandpa. Who would think that we’d see him 65 years later!

I'm three years late to comment but may I ask who this is? I am James A. FitzPatrick's daughter and was just curious!

I think that without James Fitzpatrick's TravelTalk shorts, documentary films and shows (i.e. anything by National Geographic) as a whole wouldn't be the same today.

I love his travel talks. I wish Turner Classics would show the over and over between films.

It's long past time for these good travel videos to be closed captioned so those with lousy hearing can enjoy them also.

Generations of audiences loved MGM's TravelTalks, a series of 222 globetrotting short films. They made a star of James A. Fitzpatrick-but today, they're mostly forgotten.

Most or all of FitzPatrick's color shorts were shot on Kodachrome, and transferred to Technicolor back in New York or Hollywood.

My grandfather, David Williams of Beverly Hills, was a good friend of James Fitzpatrick. He talked about their adventures often He was the photographer and financer of a travel series, with Fitzpatrick, in the 50's. As the story goes they divided the series and my grandfather got half of the completed series. I have this collection in my possession. My grandfather claimed these are never before seen Fitpatrick films. I have about a dozen boxes of film reels in storage.. I just had to comment as you have the Fitzpatrick name and might be a relative. Cheers!!
