hi lee a man once said. The amateur is concerned about his equipment. The professional photographer is concerned about the money. The master is concerned about the light. your photos are masterful. We wish you a good 2025 in advance.
What an astonishing video. Full of stunning images, every single one of them. And love the stories and technical explanations of them all. Thank you for sharing this. Hope you have a great 2025 and look forward to all your future videos
Thanks for a masterclass. These photos are so beautiful and inspiring. I started 2024 with an OM 1 ii. I allowed myself to become distracted by “better image quality” out of a different camera system (Jennifer Leigh Warner’s Z9). My switching was a poor decision. I didn’t shoot nearly as much because the 35mm gear was just a hassle. Failure is nothing more than the opportunity to start over with a better education. I’m in the process of switching back to the OM 1 ii. I’m also deleting a bunch of YT channels and other negative influences in my life that insist MFT is less capable than other choices. With this video, you have clearly demonstrated that isn’t the case. I’m determined to master this gear this time around. Happy New Year.
If you compared image quality by looking at the back of a camera, then it was a silly comparison! ;) I would guarantee that most of the jackasses saying 4/3's isn't good have NEVER shot one and don't know how to do so! ;) Welcome back, just think for the money you will lose, you could have done an OM System ONly workshop with me!!!! ;) Hahahaha, glad you enjoy my channel, watch it, learn, shoot, and show how wrong they were! ;) Thanks for watching and commenting!
Lee, A wonderful array of images from the crazy multitude of images you have to choose from. I enjoyed the details you included of how you captured the shots. I hope to be able to put some of the knowledge you shared to use in my photography sooner rather than later. I will be checking you calendar for 2025 to see if I can plan on attending one of your workshops. The 'OM Only' interest me the most I will just have to see if I can work to get one scheduled for '25. I really enjoy you videos and your keen sense of humor, one of a kind. Have a great 2025 ! Hope to see you somewhere in a field next year. Good Light ! Prator 📷
Lee, Thank you for another inspirational video; you have inspired me to develop my skills and particularly field craft this year, and when I head out with the OM1 ii and 150-400 I always have the "visually compelling immage" mantra in mind. I am in the UK and going on your workshops is unlikely to happen, but I gain so much from your videos, so thank you.
I love hearing how some of my catchphrases reside in the minds of nature photographers! Makes me know I am making a difference! Thanks for watching and commenting! I am going to do an OM System Only in Workshop if not in 2025, in 2026! I have too many fans there to not do it!
Outstanding images Lee. I found the format extremely valuable. Sharing the setup, composition and "patience" aspect helps us all go beyond just snapping images and moving on. Loved the image of the two wolves resting, the bison walking across the scene that tells a story of the habitat and the one in Grand Teton that shoes the different layers. That last image of the backlit bird was stunning. Happy New year.
Lee: A superb instructional video. We Olympus/OM System photographers are fortunate to have such a valuable resource. Have a very happy and healthy New Year. PJI
just amazing images Lee, I particularly love all those bonus images, the green and black poison dart frog, the orchid bee is just stunning and that backlit tropic bird is one that everyone should want to have taken. Thank you very much for spending the time to explain the background to each image. Sounds like you are going to be extremely busy in 2025, have a blast and here's wishing you a fantastic trip to Zimbabwe/Zambia. They are great countries with such lovely people and great wildlife/birds and scenery/landscape. Happy New Year to you!
Lee Great video. Loved your pictures. Put this presentation in my favorites. Will probably watch it again before leaving for Tanzania next month. Your explanation on how you got the photos was very beneficial. Have a great New Year. Geouge
Thank you so much for this, Lee. What beautiful photos and an incredible resource for thinking out how to capture good images. I truly hope that I'll get to join you on an OM System only workshop at some point. Until then, I will continue to look forward to your videos. Happy New Year to you. (Oh, and for the record - and I see why it was hard to choose your top 10 - I absolutely love the tropic bird photo, just magnificent!)
Happy new year, Lee. I picked up a couple of nuggets in this video, thanks for posting. Beautiful images for sure; I’m sorry I couldn’t hustle down thru those willows to get that brief shot that you captured. Next trip!
Happy new year! Thank you - I always love hearing about the thought process you use for each shot. It is extremely helpful. Enjoy your trip to Zimbabwe. I think my favourite shot was the one of Old Faithful - so unique and beautiful.
Lee, absolutely fantastic learning class! Great mix of field craft and equipment settings!! Why can’t OM Systems do more marketing to prove to the world the value our our system?

I think my favorite of the pictures was the one in Grand Teton. The other picture I really liked was the back lit bird from Panama. Happy New Year!
