I'll just enjoy my old 440, the pump cost about $40, and 4 bolts on the side of the block. Just a ratchet and 10 mins, done. Screw this new garbage. Was it daimler that decided to put the oil pump inside the engine like an asshole?
Ade Zee , unfortunately yes. The pick-up tube gotta be taken off or at the very least loosen the bolts to lower pick-up tube out of oilpump. You can reach one bolt but theres 2 more that you'll need to remove the oilpan to gaim access.
... those PowerTech engines are a horrible design. If you have to tear down an engine to replace an oil pump, might as well toss the damn thing 😆and get a rebuild or a salvaged unit from a reliable source.
"Lu-ba-kate" & "nexth tepth"🤣🤣🤣

Miss them days. Chevy does it too .
@@im234life if only the old stuff could handle the winter like new stuff does, I wouldn't own anything newer than '74..
Is there a special gasket case to ask for instead of having to buy 4 different kits
I need a similar job
Thanks for the video. Do we have to take oil pan off to replace oil pump?
