Please please be respectful of myself, or at least anyone in the chat who wants to talk about mental health. It took a lot of panic for me to finally talk about this, and I might even take the video down if I feel worried about it, but I feel like you deserved to know what's going on in my life as it does affect my channel and my work.
For those who want an email address, I am available on info@jelliebee.com if you need to chat!
    Thank you~

I've been diagnosed with severe depression and anxiety, trying to explain to someone about how you feel (especially in relation to depression) is extremely difficult as most people would just say it's a phase and that it'll pass with the wind but in reality it isn't that easy. Just think of us as all Pearls and you as Yellow Diamond; we will stick with you through anything even if it means destroying earth to create a giant kindergarten. 😂 Everything I say has to reference to SU in some way, I'm sorry I cant to help it.

  • @blazeravenscar

I totally support you, even if I'm still new to this channel, I've been depressed for 3 years without telling anyone, some nights are good then others I just break down crying. I usually listen to my favorite band that they helped me from going to far. It wasnt until recently that I had the courage to tell my mom, but I broke down crying infront of her too, I self harmed, I have anxiety and I tend to have panic attacks. My mom is trying to schedule me to a doctor to see if I might have clinical depression or something like that and get me help. But I hope you get well

    • @JellieBee

+BlazeTheNeko Aah I hope you get sorted soon! After I was originally diagnosed incorrectly with Depression and Anxiety I didn't feel like it made sense? You'll feel so at ease when you do find out what's going on, and I really hope it works out well for you~

    • @blazeravenscar
      @blazeravenscar 8 лет назад +1

I'm so happy you replied. And I agree on feeling at ease, when I went through the 3 years, I got used to the feeling of depression, and it kinda became apart of me somehow and I don't really know who I can be without it, If that makes sense? But I've decided that I had enough and I want to be happy again. :) On another completely different topic, I just got my first Copic markers, and I love them to death.

No-one should judge you over this - if anyone does, they are just terrible people. I myself have a few mental health issues (which I won't go into) and it's just amazing that you're able to talk about this to us. You should feel super proud of yourself for being able to share this with us. Stay strong.

Honestly the fact that you were able to talk about this shows your strength. I have trouble talking about my mental and physical disorders with even my friends and family, so the fact they you are able to discuss it with the public is incredibly admirable. And I am so glad that you sought out help. I know how hard it is to get help. It took me a while to do it myself. I hope treatment goes well for you!

First sending huge hugs!! I've been told I have bipolar tendencies, I'm not treated but I know people who are. Having antidepressants can make the mania worse, many people I know have a combination of mood stabilisers that work on both directions. Don't be ashamed, there is nothing bad about you it's just chemicals in the brain that has different proportions than in "normal" people. CBT is great if you have the strength to do it, it has help me in so many ways but it doesn't work for everything. Hope you find the solution that works for you with the least amount of side effects. Hugs

  • @ellambyrne

I'm sorry to here you've been having such a tough time. I have anxiety/panick attack issues myself since I was around eleven years so I can understand how difficult it was for you to talk about this. I used to bottle everything up, I felt like I was going mad. Luckily though cbt has worked wonders for me and I'm on meds and they don't effect me negatively. I hope your new meds work better for you and that things will improve! Don't worry about ignorant people judging you, focus on everyone who loves you and supports you instead!

Well done you, you are a trooper! Whether or not some recognise what you have a s one disorder or not, what you have is real, and is not " all in your mind". You have fought to keep a normal facade for a very long time, seriously Girl, that is colossal strength. You are amazing. You will have good days and bad, but please remember on the bad days, that you have had the strength to get there when you didn't know what it was, so you DO have the strength to cope with it, now that you know what it is.

So thank you!

I'm so, so sorry you have to go through this. I've struggled with various mental illness, nowhere near as severe as bipolar disorder though, but just know that you're not alone. I know it's cheesy and everyone says it, but there's other people going through this, and it's never your fault. Just please, please take care of yourself, your health is more important than anything. Take naps, drink tea, do whatever makes you happy. You are not weak for having problems you can't control, and if people give you shit, they don't matter, because you are a wonderful human who deserves love and happiness. You've helped me personally so much, and I can never thank you enough. I wish all the best for you.

A Mental Illness is Nothing to be ashamed of, many many people have lived wonderful happy lives with your diagnosis, and I have no doubts that you will overcome the trials you have dealt with, you are such a strong, intelligent, beautiful person! • @KayBeast

Mental health is one of those things that people have a hard time understanding because the symptoms are usually only noticed by the people suffering, but it doesn't make them any less real. My mom was in denial about her own mental health for a very long time, long enough that it got very very bad. She has Dissociative Identity Disorder, and it was only when she got properly diagnosed and stopped forgoing treatment that she started to get better. There's no shame in having anything like that, things happen inexplicably all the time. Thank you for sharing your story with us, it already looks like you have a lot of fans who relate, and talking candidly about this stuff will hopefully help to fight misconceptions.

I was on Citalopram for about three years for GAD and depression and found it really helpful for keeping my mood more stable I guess?? I had my first experience of lucid dreaming on it and that was crazy (but kinda funny)! I'm currently going off it now to try something new though as my depression has been getting worse recently but I hope you won't have such a negative view of it as each person's reaction to medication can be completely different!

Mental health is something that needs a lot more recognition. Something i plan to do (as a life goal) is to start a free/volunteer program for pre-teen/teenage girls who are struggling and instill the self esteem associated with creating and making art. I am so glad for you to be posting this video because it really does help a lot of people I am sure who follow you who may also be struggling. I am not saying that it stops at preteen age. This is something that can intermittently stay with the rest of your life - and for me - it was actually a few months ago when I realized that fact as a 25 year old. I support you.

You're very brave choosing to talk about this, I hope we can get rid of some of the stigma surrounding mental health. I was prescribed antidepressants a few years ago, I don't remember what they were, and also had awful side effects. I've never felt so ill in my life. I had to stop taking them and the doctor decided I didn't have depression after all, and that I was just anaemic and it made my moods change frequently, but even several years later I still have episodes of feeling low for absolutely no reason and my iron levels are fine, so I have no idea. It's very frustrating to have people say to you "Just cheer up!" so I don't talk about it much.

Labeling a disorder doesn't make it more legitimate. In fact, labeling it can sometimes put people in a little box and may not be the best way to determine their course of treatment. Each individual is unique and deserves their own unique form of treatment. People aren't textbooks. I plant on going into the mental health field and I really detest the tendency for doctors, psychiatrists and insurance companies to rely so heavily on CBT (cognitive-behavioral therapy). From a research perspective, it's at least somewhat effective with most people. But that doesn't mean it's the best treatment for that particular individual. Morgan, I truly respect your bravery in opening up about your experiences it takes a lot of courage. I am sending you lots of love and hugs!

I truly don't understand how people can be so rude and inconsiderate when it comes to mental health. It's such a shame that we as humans can't just be there for each other and be willing to help, and instead all that a lot of people do is judge and criticize you for something you can't control. I really appreciate your willingness to be open with your viewers. It takes a lot of courage to be honest with something like this, more courage than I think I have, haha. So, thank you for being so open. :) And I think I speak for most, if not all, of us viewers when I say that we understand if you need to take a break or be a little late posting things, and that I certainly would never want you to feel pressured or upset if you aren't able to get something up. I don't have a disorder, and I don't know anyone who does, but I think you really are strong to be able to open up to us and while I don't understand how hard it is, I hope that the medication will help and that you won't get any horrible side effects from it. Random side note, I like your hair colour :)

Thank you for this video. I'm a teenager and I suffer from depression and anxiety, and unfortunately it's getting worse which has resulted me into getting medication. It's very hard to describe what it's like to someone who doesn't have it or someone who writes it off as just being 'sad.' Thank you for being brave and putting this out, support you 100% already tweeted you :)

My father commited suicide in October '14, he was bipolar, and too poor to seek medical help (thanks America!). I miss him every day. It's so good that you're getting help for yourself, it's so important. Good luck on your journey, much love. :)

I would talk about my mental health and all the problems that's come with it but it's spanning from since I was 10 years old. It's a lot of history. Almost 20 years.
What I wanted to say is that we all love you.

I know I'm late to this. Know that there are other people out there and are not alone. Also, if you read the side effects don't absorb them, they have to report anything that happens to anyone in there tests, even if 1 person in 20,000 had a reaction. It doesn't mean you will experience it but it is good to know because if something wired does happen to you go to your doc, don't ignore it. Support and strength to you. And side note it's not a weakness... stay strong

Good for you for having the guts to explain you feelings to the internet. A lot of people suffer in silence and you may have helped people to decide to go to the doctor and get a diagnosis and go on medication to help. I've known a lot of people with mood disorders and they are all amazing people, it's just a chemical imbalance that sometimes needs medication to fix. There's nothing to feel ashamed about, it's not like you can help the way you feel! I wish you good luck on your journey to a more stabilized emotional wellbeing.

Keep your head up girl, you have nothing to be ashamed or embarrassed about, and anyone who is mean to you about this, needs to grow up and get a life. I suffer from mental issues as well, and so do many of my friends. I was on certalean as well, now I am on citalapram, ( the same as you) and aslo well butrin, the spellings are probably not right. But don't give up you and your doc will find the right meds or combo of meds that work for you. Big hugs to you.

I've been dealing with this type of thing as long as I can remember. In high school, the teachers recommended that I go see a psychiatrist to talk about what is going on with me. My mom pulled some bullshit excuse 'but that costs money' thing. That was nearly twelve years ago.
I still haven't gone, my mom waited too long, and my panic attacks have been worrying me. I go through long stretches just crying and absolutely hating myself... I'm scared of myself... I am surprised I can still somewhat function...j
I am afraid of what people think of me (chalk it up to nearly thirteen straight years of bullying in my school years)

As someone who suffers from OCD, I can totally understand misconceptions. People think OCD means wanting things to be symmetrical, or having to do some weird random thing or else you'll do some other thing weird thing (ex: If you don't tap something 3 times, you'll rip your hair out) and others think that everyone has it. It really is frustrating, and innacurate as hell. But really, I'm sorry you have to deal with people thinking depression means "sad" etc. etc.

    hi,
i think you are so strong to talk about this i could see it was getting hard for you in your tone of voice and glaze over your eyes i just want to say you are a beautiful strong person and you will get through this we will all make sure of it!
i feel like i could relate so much to the way you said you were feeling, i have told my parents the way i feel but they say its because im a teenager but i doubt waking up in the wanting to cry because i am actually alive is normal. i have been bullied and i have no self esteem because of that, at school i only have a few friends and when im not with them i feel so lonely i walk around school with my head down trying not to make eye contact with anyone because i feel like people are going to make fun of my differences
(i have cerebral palsy and thats why they bullied me). some days i can just sit in my room and cry.
i have also been recently diagnosed with a heart conditioned that i will need surgery for and i am so worried about it, but not only that it has made me feel so down i feel like people stare at me because i am different and i hate feeling that people think im weird. some days i cant get to sleep because the next day im doing a test or i will have to speak infront of the class and it happens most nights and my parents just think i am being stupid they dont realise i live in fear i will be bulied again over the way that i look my bullies called me retarded because of my disabilities and i used to be friends with them so i find it hard to trust people. none of my friends realise this because i put on an act when im around them.
You probably wont read this but i just needed to tell someone my feelings
    ~Tiana (aged 12)
