I think they should keep the dark theme in future sequels. They could do this with more obscure, but also more frightening characters. Professor Pyg, Victor Zsasz, and Hush would fit the theme perfectly for a future Batman movie.

I’m not going to pretend that I always had faith in Pattinson being Batman, because I definitely didn’t. He did well. And I’m curious to see what his Batman does next.
And from the beginning where he called himself vengeance and focused on just being batman. To the end where he saved the people leading them out, he learned that that being just batman alone is wasn't enough. That he had to and could be Bruce Wayne too
When I saw batman ignore all those people blowing up in his chase vs the Penguin, I turned to my friend angrily and said "my batman would've stopped his chase, let the penguin escape and try to save those people every time" The movie understood this too, but had to have batman learn that he has to be more than just vengeance, he has to be a hero. Thought that was a nice touch at the end of the day. Hopefully this also cured his case of the emo. He was suffering pretty hard from it
He wouldn't of let the penguin escape just would've found a less destructive means to take him down and a lot of y'all seem to forget that this is still an early Batman in his career he's trying to figure how to go about things and by the end of the film progresses not just in superheroing but also as Bruce Wayne
Well most of the damage was caused by Penguin and the heavy downpour. Plus Batman was much more focused on the mission at this point of the story. You could even see this with his first appearance the way he doesn't help that guy he saved and just focuses on the next task. I mean even with him chasing Penguin you can see him slowing down when everything starts crashing together. The only issue I have is the way the movie kind of glossed over it so quickly.

If The Joker was a film about a broken man becoming Irredeemable, than The Batman is a film about a damaged man becoming a Force for Good! When Batman lead the people in water to safety, was Bruce first steps from being Vengeance to The Dark Knight. The whole cast did an amazing job.
The whole point of the movie is Batman coming to terms with who he is .. what does it mean to be a hero in a place that doesn’t deserve one ?. He puts his family up on this pedestal the whole film and even looks to them to define him and for guidance. He’s a struggling optimist trying to do the right thing but is letting his hatred and vengeance seeking ways blind his judgement leading people to frankly be afraid of him. He’s dis regarded Bruce as he sees Batman as the only way to carry his family’s legacy. He has to become a better Batman , refine himself and inspire hope all before we can see Bruce start to find humanity in himself again. He has to open up to the possibility that Batman isn’t the only way to cope with his parents passing and it isn’t the only way to change the city, a philanthropic facade can , not a playboy persona like Nolan exaggerated. This lifts a lot from early PC comics so I don’t see peoples problems with it - they’ve just never been exposed to it .. it’s not exactly a “new take” it goes back to the origins of the character.
Pattinson blew this role out of the water, he was a good fit for the role. Say what you will, but he was damn good, and we actually see detective work being done, unlike any other batman we've seen in movies.
Patterson wasn’t my favorite Batman ( hated his voice soooo much ), but this was by far my favorite Batman film. They FINALLY did Gotham right and the pay off was Golden. I’m kinda thinking Hugo Strange should be the next movie villain. We didn’t get much Bruce at all In this one. So with the sequel I could see then focusing on that given how many nods towards him using his family name and two to help out more around the city. With that I could see him mingling with the Gotham elites and meeting Hugo Strange, but not suspecting that whatever madness is going on in Gotham could be tied to such an esteemed person. Regardless of who/what the next villain is I’ll be tuning in for sure
I thought Robert did a good job for his first batman movie. Even bale took a movie to find his spot in the franchise. I just felt the movie was a little long. I enjoy longer movies, just this one could of ended 30 mins shorter
YES!!! The movie was inspired by BLADE RUNNER Se7en Saw Silence Of The Lambs All The President's Men Klute Zodiac Chinatown The French Connection Batman: The Long Halloween, Batman: Ego, and every single Hitchcock movie. It was a box office success, $770 million dollars against a $200 million dollar budget. A sequel is in development for a 2024 release date, and Pattinson and Reeves will return to the project.
So my biggest complaint is that this film is following a batman that’s been doing this for 3 YEARS no way in hell would batman still be this green after been on the street for 3 years. 3 weeks I could buy, 3 months is reasonable, a year is starting to stretch it but I could still go with the idea but THREE YEARS this batman would be dead, the reason we normally see bats as a bit older is because he is human and he knows it so he spent his time learning how to be the best he can be, his superpower is his mind and his unbreakable will, a willpower that lets him stand toe to toe and back to back with gods (in some cases literal gods like Aries and Zeus) Now my own personal feelings about batman not actually been Bruce (one idea I like is Bruce walked into that ally as a kid and something else walked out, what we see as Bruce Wayne is a mask just as much as The Batman, maybe it latched onto the broken bits of the child that was there or maybe it completely replaced him, heck it’s a multiverse so all of the above could have happened) I dislike that they keep trying to make him more human, I think the best versions of batman is right at the start of Batman Returns, Michael Keaton is sitting there alone lights off computer off in the Darkness thinking and waiting, then the bat Signal goes off and his system redirects it into the room he is in and Batman gets switched on, he dosnt have a life outside of his masks, if he didn’t need to use Bruce, batman wouldn’t bother with keeping up the show but Wayne is a really good way to get info as rich people will take to him when they wouldn’t to others so bats keeps Wayne around.
This movie has nothing to do with The Long Halloween storyline, and barely anything to do with Hush (Riddler knowing the Batman's secret identity), And in Hush is never mentioned that a reporter was killed to cover up the Wayne-Falcone relationship, in Hush Thomas Elliot is pissed of with Bruce because he intended to kill both of his parents and Thomas Wayne saved one of them, and years later with the help of Riddler they orchestrate a serious of plots involving several of Batman rogues gallery and allies in effort to twist his mind in order to kill him. Maybe I'm not at the part on the current comic book timeline, but I have the entire of Hush in my shelves, is not what you say it was.
I really feel like Riddler was telling bats he knew he was Bruce without telling the world. Despite the plot hole that creates. Its also just me but I think its possible we saw the birth of hush in the DC EU without necessarily seeing it. Just because you don't see the mob permanently shut a snoopy reporter up doesn't mean it never happened;) And Riddler at some point probably needed someone to help him at least a little bit in his early information sleuthing days....@-Reporter perhaps???.... who sadly didn't survive...
Hope that we get not the Joker (as main villain), for we need to see more unfamiliar Batman enimies, like the Court of Owls, Scarecrow, Waylan "Killer Croc" Jones, Hush or Poison Ivy. Should also keep the Dark tone in the other films, plus focus on Batman. That doesn't mean they can include the Joker, I just think the timing to give us a new Joker is not right yet, since Heath Ledgers' portrayal is still freshly remembered. So it would be too repetitive to make him the main villain again. Maybe later, but not yet. Hope that Selina "the Catwoman" Kyle returns to Gotham. Hopefully Scarecrow will be a main villain, since he seems facinating.
When Bruce eradicated those helpless civilians on the highway I stood up and clapped! That's what the real batman would do, a cool walk away from the burning humans he directly killed.
I think they should keep the dark theme in future sequels. They could do this with more obscure, but also more frightening characters. Professor Pyg, Victor Zsasz, and Hush would fit the theme perfectly for a future Batman movie.
Better they use lesser Characters. Heck, Pyg and Zsasz would fit perfectly in this grounded Batman.

One of the more unique and interesting super hero films in the current climate of rinse and repeat over saturation.
Bruce Wayne doesn't exist in this universe.
You need to do a video on the court of owls
My favorite Batman thus far. 👍
Great video as always but you didn’t need the click bait screen shot
What I like about this is Bruce is being more Batman hasn’t got to the Bruce Wayne we know he still trying to balance both sides
Also large part Batman Imposter like the suit is spot on.
Isn't it a downgrade? From a humanoid bat to just a costume ?
Don't mind me 🤣
Eeeeh. Wasn't Renewel started by Thomas shortly before his death, then appropriated by Falcone and the rest of the gangs after the Wayne's death?
So my biggest complaint is that this film is following a batman that’s been doing this for 3 YEARS no way in hell would batman still be this green after been on the street for 3 years.
3 weeks I could buy, 3 months is reasonable, a year is starting to stretch it but I could still go with the idea but THREE YEARS this batman would be dead, the reason we normally see bats as a bit older is because he is human and he knows it so he spent his time learning how to be the best he can be, his superpower is his mind and his unbreakable will, a willpower that lets him stand toe to toe and back to back with gods (in some cases literal gods like Aries and Zeus)
Now my own personal feelings about batman not actually been Bruce (one idea I like is Bruce walked into that ally as a kid and something else walked out, what we see as Bruce Wayne is a mask just as much as The Batman, maybe it latched onto the broken bits of the child that was there or maybe it completely replaced him, heck it’s a multiverse so all of the above could have happened) I dislike that they keep trying to make him more human, I think the best versions of batman is right at the start of Batman Returns, Michael Keaton is sitting there alone lights off computer off in the Darkness thinking and waiting, then the bat Signal goes off and his system redirects it into the room he is in and Batman gets switched on, he dosnt have a life outside of his masks, if he didn’t need to use Bruce, batman wouldn’t bother with keeping up the show but Wayne is a really good way to get info as rich people will take to him when they wouldn’t to others so bats keeps Wayne around.
This isn’t that CGI Mary Sue Batman in the same universe as Superman.
This is his 2nd year not 3rd
I love this movie. Pattinson did amazing as Batman right on par with Michael Keaton.
Love the channel can you do the Japanese film Battle royal
twilightman beat up a streamer and his followers, he got loads of civilians killed in an unnecessary chase scene too. terrible miscast
I thought this was the worst Batman I’d ever seen and I’ve seen them all!
Why?
@@nassiemartinez4399 he doesnt like that most people love it so hes going the extreme opposite
@@nassiemartinez4399 he just want some little attention thats all
How Americans hear you: “SelenER”
The ending should have been Bruce Wayne learning to use his money to fix the city while fighting crime
Since it's early in his career Bruce hasn't perfected his billionaire playboy persona yet but he probably will in later films.
Explore Sphere.
Good video. I enjoyed the movie. I look forward to the sequel. I'm curious who they will play the Joker, who is my favorite villian.
There’s already a Joker in this movie’s “universe”, played briefly by Barry Keoghan.
@@DimeMagnet I'm stoked to see him as the joker, something about him just gives off crazy no matter what role he's in
Hope that we get not the Joker (as main villain), for we need to see more unfamiliar Batman enimies, like the Court of Owls, Scarecrow, Waylan "Killer Croc" Jones, Hush or Poison Ivy.
Pattinsons Wayne was a very refreshing take. I've seen enough of playboy Wayne, I welcome a different interpretation.
When Bruce eradicated those helpless civilians on the highway I stood up and clapped! That's what the real batman would do, a cool walk away from the burning humans he directly killed.
