- Billy shares his love for cars and rock and roll. Listen to his passion and see some photos and video clips with him and his cars and motorcycles. Interview 1 from Episode 7019.
I remember La Grange was released in 73 and I was riding my Sportser to a dive nudie bar on Friday nights north of Dallas and the girls were dancing to the song. ZZ Top was our favorite in Texas. Love my home state. 63 years now
I could be mistaken... but I think Billy Gibbons and ZZ TOP have been together for 5 decades. Maybe at the time this video and interview it may have been only 3 decades... but Billy Gibbons himself has been Rockin and Rollin way back in the day in Houston with a band he and the band members he was with called
" The Moving Sidewalks " in Houston, Texas. ( My information comes from the Netflix Original Documentary called... " ZZ TOP... That Little Ole Band from Texas " which I have watch at least 30 times! ) ... if you haven't seen it... you should if you are a ZZ TOP fan ... it's very entertaining!
I love Billy Gibbons
I think I have frostbite after watching this....hands down coolest dude on the planet(of women, oh yeah). I am 42, and I want to be just like him when (if) I grow up!
+Bushwacker Don't grow up - t'aint worth it

Saw a video of Billy G & wife pull up to a restaurant in a Smart Car. Billy & wife even made a smart car look cool.
1993 Harley Davidson 90th!! Jay Leno opened up!! Best part of the show was when ZZtop did their rendition of the Beverly Hillbilly's theme song! They played their hearts out that night!!!!!

wouahouh BEAUTIFULL CARS.........BILLY...........I like it
I saw ZZ at the Biltmore estate with BlackBerry smoke. ZZ played a cover of KING OF THE ROAD. We miss you Dusty!
I like that Billy didn't waste his money on impractical things.
Nice to have money, cars, and guitars ! Chics will follow, no problemo !
Sadly we lost Dusty Hill last August! My Brother and I build our Hot Rods. Well, actually I'm into Motorcycles and Extreme 4X4 Trucks. Bro is into the street rods. And my brother lives just outside of Waxahachie, & still painting his 55-56-57 and 68 Camaro street cars. No garage Queens in our collections. Honestly, we just never could afford to have guys like Boyd Caddinton do our custom work for us.
AWSOME I’m also in Ellis County 👍🏻
I'm watching this and thinking how much fun I was having cranking up the volume on the song la Grange in 73 or 74
Even his resting voice sounds like an American V8. The man is pure legend.
ZZ TOP IS THE THREE-BEARD BAND! 😎👍
He's just the Coolest Guy,his voice is like butter.Smooth as silk.Pretty ordinary questions
I could listen to BG talk about anything.
A true Texas Legend 👍🏻
The accoustisonic guitar is so cool,if it didnt cost 2200,i maybe try to ge one manoman its so cool soundn, but your rides are very very nice sir jus the eliminator is wild by itself
That last line "it's literally one of the biggest hobbies in the world" lol- is it?
Who in the world is cooler than Billy?
Billy, I appreciate you more and more everythime I catch one of your interviews Tanks Bill L
I was born in 1984 and I learned about music and cars when I was 3 years old so me and Mr Billy Gibbons have something in common were both gearheads and we love music and I grew up on ZZTOP man I would love to see his wonderful car collection I've always dreamed what it would be like to drive the iconic Eliminator coupe I'm still a big fan of ZZTOP and lately I've been on a ZZTOP fix reliving my childhood and enjoying the wonderful sound of 80s rock and I'm a Ford man too gotta love classic cars combined with classic rock they go hand in hand LONG LIVE ZZTOP!!!
I have, I have pinpointed the connection between cars and rock n roll.
Two Great Men
He never mentioned the real driving force behind ZZ. Thats the great Bill Ham of Waxahachie Tx. He made this band and Billy was poised to be a Texas legend, but debatable to be where he is today without Bill Ham, who produced all the records up to 2006. He's the real hot rod man behind all that bearded glory. RIP
Yes sir, he brought em to the world. Quite a success story
American Graffiti says it all, I own over 20 guitars (playin' 45-yrs now)- and had 3, '1969' plymouth Road Runners- 1 was a special addition- 69'GTX.. 440c.i. blueprinted to 480c.u. Cayuga drag car. Rock & Roll Bad Boys - FOREVER / GIRLS- GUITARS & CARS !!!
Those roadrunners broke a lot of hearts. Bad ass muscle cars fo sho
Cars and fun in the sun.

Always knew it was a Dodge starter sound on Manic Mechanic 🎸 a Slant 6 Dart no less . Gramps had a 62'
This Is Relay so so so cool iconic
I’m inspired by ZZ Top I have cars and guitars, I have a 1989 mustang with a 289, a peavey amp that plays fender bass and Gibson guitars
Билли КРУТОЙ!!!
All these years later, Barry McGuire looks older than hell, and Billy still looks the same.
I have been the proud owner of two slant six Plymouth Valiants. The push button tranny was not better than the 'three on the tree.'
Rock music, cars, bikes, now ask about chicks. It all goes together.
This show is pretty cool. They had Jeff Beck on here too.
I saw That 👍🏻
he needs to visit Jay Leno and ride in one of his Hellcat's
It goes back to Chuck Berry and Maybelline, hot rods and rock n roll
beautiful hot rod
He mentioned Metallica... I know James Hetfield is a hard core car guy, you should interview him.
Let's get this straight: Billy is only passionate about special automobiles and a way of life that has long since disappeared. 99.999% of the cars on the roads today are soul-destroying joyless junk used for such tedious chores as running kids to school, going to work or buying groceries. Tips for putting the fun back in your life: sell your safe, boring car and buy something totally impractical and dangerous instead; have your kids make their own way to school; get groceries delivered; do not use a car to commute; make time for journeys with no utility whatsoever or any particular destination ; drive slow in town ...
Christopher Lawrence ford pinto
Haha.. Amen brother. Thats true.
@@DiscoBallGaming Dangerous junk with an illusion of safety.
Done son!
And eat at POPS BURGER JOINT IN WAXAHACHIE TEXAS 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I think i am fading :o Billy Gibbons should be the King Of The World ! :D ZZ Top
What no green new deal shit? Nothing like the smell of high octane gasoline
The Reverend Billy G.........we are not worthy!

It don't matter I was just for fun
Billy come on back home to TEXAS or please send me a ticket to California. Thank you.
Anonomobile... I'm going to so use that. 1992 Silver Dodge Caravan. Very anonomobile...
@Billy F Gibbons
😁 Slightly less anonomobile these days... a 2002 Silver Dodge Durango (the Derangeo), and a 1997 Chevrolet Express 3500 Skoolie 4 window. 😄 In Ford Engine Blue and White.
@Billy F Gibbons
Well, I'm following. Says something, right? 😏
A lot of very fond memories have background music by ZZ Top.
My late husband was very much an avid fan. It was so much fun watching him listen to your work, even if he had his headphones on, it was pretty easy to tell. Head bobbing, feet kicking, lips in a wonderfully silly grin.
Dang I miss that!
When he and I met, I knew a couple songs from the radio, but at the time I was pretty much ignoring the top 40 because I got burned out on disco. Oh... it was fine the first couple tunes, but it got awful repetitive. I'd switched over to classical and ethnic... because out in rural route nowhere blues and jazz were hard to find.
After our first date, he acquainted me with the best of his music collection. (Til 3 am Friday morning. As a gentleman.) ZZ figured very prominently!
@Billy F Gibbons sure! 🤔 uhmmm. How does it happen privately? (Though I do show up on a Google search... so... 🤷🏽♀️ )
@Billy F Gibbons this user name is the same as my Gmail account. It was one of the betas... 😏
@Billy F Gibbons
Alas Billy, I think I heard some sad news just now.
Flash a grin and a nod at my husband as you enter the realm.
He'll be the fellow dancing crazy in the corner with a silly grin, when you and Dusty get to playing.
Later on, man!
How many albums have you guys put out? It's your job to know that, pretty ordinary interview.
i
Does he own any electric cars?
GrumpyOldMan
no he dont
He is electric
Classic example of a great three piece r and b band that sold out to the money machine corporate bullshit. 😳😣
All I know is that .....Gibbins, Hill and drummer must have aged ...horribly......because no one seems to be able to see their faces and true looks. I think they look uglier now than when younger.
Three bearded men from Texas! Drummer, Dan Beard!
That's how they describe themselves, can't lose beards, they'll scare ppl away 😎
But have you noticed their perfect sparkling white teeth ? They must have gotten a good deal on implants. I have never seen teeth as perfect as those ! ?
All Billy really needs is Jesus.
