      No he’s cool. I met him Jan 2020 and I was working but he still had time to talk to us for a few minutes. Even handed me a sizable tip. He’s so dow to earth even as he ages gracefully.

      If you say that a person or thing is 'cool' , you are saying that they are fashionable and attractive. You know who actually WAS cool? James Dean. He kinda defined it. James Dean is the king; nobody is cooler than James Dean.

    Had the absolute honour to watch the magic of ZZ Top in person when Dusty was still with us. It was such an epic show! RIP DH!

      Billy is nice indeed. I had a 63 ford fairlane. After a concert we where drinking a coke and had a burger when one of thier limos stopped. Billy opened the window and stuck his head out. "That's a nice car you got there." Talked a bit about it. He actualy took a picture of us and the car and gave us a cd he signed there on the spot. "Drive carefully and I realy like tha car" and than they drove off.

      @ Hugh Janus - Everyone who has met any/all 3 of these guys say they're cool down to earth fellows. Talking to them is like talking to a neighbor over the fence.
      Haven't met them myself, but I wouldn't mind.

      @@freakindawgen The bulb was likely swapped to one made for a 12v system.
      My problem with it is that, to use it, you have to put it right up in your line of sight. Sort of defeats the purpose. It's a really cool idea though. Guys might start searching for accessories designed for aircraft when building or designing their hot rods.

    I actually saw Jay Leno a week ago tomorrow on a Hollywood tour van I've got video and pictures of him near our van it was awesome to see him he's the nicest guy you could ever meet he actually spoke to me and waved

    He failed to mention exactly which Mexican restaurant he was headed to from point A. It's called Tres Amigos Cafe y Cantina (cantina is Spanish for "bar" for those who are tex-mex impaired). It's opening on April 22nd in Houston and it will be full of zztop memorabilia. They (of course) will be pouring endless amounts of Pura Vida tequila for everyone. This restaurant is also a charitable one, 75% of the proceeds will be donated to the St Jude Foundation. Nope I didn't get paid to say all of that. I'm just a Houstonian. It's how we do things down here. This town is like a gigantic family. We love hard and we love long. I can't wait to fall into THAT food coma! God bless

      I think all the hats Billy has worn have been hiding the fact that he's probably been bald since the early '70's. I can see that he was losing it in pre-ZZ Top photos. I started losing my hair at about 18 also.

    Sad to think we lost Dusty about 3 months after this was filmed.
    When I was driving tractor-trailer over the road in the 70s, the ZZ Top 8 tracks were some of me favorite driving music.
    RIP Dusty.

    My wife and I met the band after a show in Laughlin NV .......... each of them had their own diesel pusher bus. Very nice and cordial guys !!

    I don't expect any kind of response from Billy I doubt he ever sees it but I think he is the best guitar player I ever seen or heard. If I could ever meet Billy F. Gibbons in person would be a true blessing. I have tried to learn his style of playing guitar but haven got it yet Billy is my guitar picking idol.

    I went to a Uriah Heap concert and ZZTop opened and I along with everyone there we blown away with how good these 3 fellows were and the crowd wanted for ZZTop come back out from there on they started the big climb up the charts and were in demand everywhere and they deserved every bit of the fame kayed on them...how could 3 guys play so rich sounding songs and not a clunker at any point and still playing,,,I'll never forget that show I was in the army during that unpopular war so with bald head and civies i musta looked a little "red-neck" but no one noticed as there were in awe of what was happening as I was too.. Keep 'em flyin' boys!! boys of summer

    Fun fact, Billy performs the solo on the Queens of the Stone Age song Burn The Witch. Immediately after recording it, Billy remarked that something sounded a little off... Then he realized it was because his beard got caught in the guitar strings.
    Anyway, they used that take on the record because it still sounded awesome.

    WOW - I was the 1st person to introduce them to each other Jay and zztop, back stage in Houston - when I worked at 93Q - Jay and I were friends for 8 years and I sang with Billy and Dusty in a club in houston later, The Gallant Knight club = NICE guys.
    of all the stars I met - a ton- these 3 are the nicest down to earth guys in all of entertainment!

      @@GregKrynen Yes, I'm aware of the ZZ Top song Cheap Sunglasses, I just find it odd Jay would choose to use the term while at the same time making it visible that Billy is wearing Ray Bans. But who knows, maybe for Jay a couple hundred dollars for a pair of sunglasses is cheap.

    Not just rock and rollers wrote songs about cars, Beach Boys, Little Deuce Coupe, J Denver, Country Roads and the list goes on. ZZ Top did some great stuff and are true showmen and entertainers.

    First time I saw ZZ it was at Palmer Auditorium in Davenport Iowa December? of 74.Tres Hombes, Great show! The opening act was Kiss. I had a discussion with a roady afterwards about the amps. He said they were Rio Grande and I said they sure looked like Marshalls to me. Been to a half dozen since last saw them about 4 years ago. Still consistently great! Thank you Jay and Billy!... Still think the roady was kiddin me
