Maybe some high demand items but not everything. Depends where you are buying. Overall inflation is up 18% since Joe Biden took office per Fox. So to say you are paying 200% more would lead to a much bigger uproar from everyone so you must be exaggerating. Not if you're at full 100% social security benefits usually from age 65 to 68 depending on your age of eligibility. The main issue is can you handle working fulltime at that age? Those who blame Biden for inflation have no business commenting on finance. The whole world is experiencing inflation, perhaps you've heard of COVID-19? Inflation doesn't occur in a matter of a couple years, economic change takes several years. Trump devalued the dollar by giving all the COVID aid, not that the aid was entirely bad, but it drove prices up across the board. The trend is merely continuing. Companies are posting record profits. Blame good old, simple American greed.

Fun fact, under Biden manufacturing investments have been record-breaking and so have factory builds and investments. He has also had over 800 k jobs in manufacturing since being in office.
Here's my point of view as someone whose worked in manufacturing the government/ shareholders/unions are the problems along with the corporate mentality of there's no profit in a quality long lasting product. As a self employed consumer it's aggravating that heavy equipment dealers are beginning to refuse to work on anything 10 years old and then changing the designs and eliminating parts to fix equipment.
I couldn't agree more. If we made products like we did many years ago. We would have more money on our bank accounts. Washers and dryers that lasted many years. In today's world, consumers buy multiple appliances over and over again. Nothing last due to poor quality and engineering by design.
Look at the number of banks closing, so how are people supposed to get money to keep business going.
That money doesn't just go away. You can get your money out just fine.
Or is it because all of the money we saved during the pandemic has run out and now people continue their current rate of spending and are using credit? That is the business news being shared these days by many prominent business channels.

Those so-called better-than-expected economic numbers are bogus. Creating dollars out of thin air for government to spend will make it appear as if there is growth. However, there is no new value being created. It's only making the dollar worth less. It's making prices increase i.e. inflation. It's causing consumers to spend more for less, much of it also being borrowed. Job numbers are meaningless as the equations aren't factoring the millions of new illegals pouring over the border. Not to mention, they don't even use the same methodology for calculating unemployment that had been used in the past. All the "growth" is going to special interests and the wealthy, and is being taken out of the hands of the working class

I paid $42 for a gallon of paint (120 oz - not a full 128 oz) at Home Depot today. That is ridiculous. If it wasn't already mixed, l would have left it. Last time I bought paint it was plus or minus $20

@@windsong3wong828 thanks for reply,it could be done here in united states but it would take an overhaul of are system, tax base here would have to be changed etc,we manufacture heavy equipment here , caterpillar brand etc, it certainly would be alot more than is curretly being done,we were headed in a direction to start doing that,but with political changes, president,congress here,they have their own ideas on that subject,and if your phone is not included in your cellular plan and you just buy the phone, your paying over 1k already for some models of phones here.
America needs American chip manufacturing, industrial 3D printing manufacturing to create agricultural drones, vertical farming, aerospace engineering designed for innovating existing models or creating new models, education centered around innovation and improving the old to align with new ideas for continuous development, and advancements in new research such as quantum computers.

Where does distressed sales enter this picture. Such sales as car repossessions and housing foreclosures . The public auction of business, some of the industrial auctions can sell millions of dollars of machinery and inventory stock. I often drive by a large auction company and there lot if totally full of construction equipment and assorted trucking equipment that is more than a 100 acres. Are these distressed sales included in there made up figures.
All these people talking about investments and growth of profits. They back people like Pierre poliveire or Donald Trump who state increase of supply will reduce cost but yet these investors still see profits and back these leaders/capitalists.
