Hi, in the UK we call this Cottage Pie as it's made with beef mince. Shephards Pie is made with lamb mince. It's a winter staple over here, nice to see you including it too 👍
Doesn’t hurt my feelings to see a recipe twice! I love videos of tried and true recipes! But, I do love your seasonal decorating videos. You really have a knack for it. My favorite is when you decorate the built in hutch of your newer home. Also, Remember when y’all hung the faux pendulum lights in your previous kitchen? I loved that, and I DID THAT, ALL BY MYSELF. 🎉 🌽🌽🌽🌽🌽🌽🌽🌽 Excited for the upcoming content!😊
I'm late watching. These dishes look scrumptious!!!! Can't wait to try the Dorito casserole and the Shepard's Pie!!!! Thanks, Jen for making dishes that are simple!!! ❤❤
Jen, the scalloped potatoes at the end of the video….I often put cut up leftover ham in mine to make scalloped potatoes and ham, it makes a nice main dish for supper.
I want to make all of these! So excited for the Dorito’s casserole. Your French Onion Beef casserole reminded me of a dish my mom made us. She called it ground beef stroganoff. The only difference is she didn’t use the soup mix or the French Fried Onion topper. I’m definitely going to think of her when I make your recipe. I don’t have her anymore, but I do have such wonderful memories to think about warmly. Thank you for sharing such good recipes. 🌽 Afterthought- she served her beef mixture over buttered noodles, it wasn’t a casserole. Forgot to mention that earlier! 💁🏻♀️
My mom made Shepard pie (60 - 55 years ago lol). did the meat same as you (but in a cast iron pan) topped with green beans (not mixed in just topped) then topped with mashed potatoes. Heated through in the oven.... Super good.
I put a drained can of mixed vegetables in my ground beef and I do use Bob Evan’s mashed potatoes! I always make extra gravy on the side. My mom was from the UK and used to make it frequently. None of us kids liked lamb so she always used beef! Yours looks yummy as does all your other dishes.🌽
Dear, your Shepards casserole recipe recipe is fantastic!! Just a note, England has, in some American store’s, a packet of seasoning mix for the ground meat and a sauce called HP SAUCE. The seasoning packet is sold like a gravy mix or taco seasoning. The HP sauce is in a bottle like A1 sauce. Just in case your interested 💕🙏🙏
love your channel ❣ plan on trying that chicken spaghetti - sounds simple enough for us. we have shepard's pie in our rotation - always the night after i make creamed corn. instesd of using flour and broth, i add the left over creamed corn with a bit of milk to make the "gravy" then top with the potato. hubs loves the sweetness it adds to the dish! thanks for posting all our great recipes
OH GOOD LORD! These look SOOOOOOO good! The scalloped potatoes brought fond memories of my mom :) And the french onion casserole is gonna probably get tried here tomorrow! WOW! Thanks, girlie! Glad to see you getting back in the swing of things! :)
@@CookCleanAndRepeat OHHHH YES, GIRL! THAT FRENCH ONION BEEF CASSEROLE IS DA BOMB!!! We will be having this again! Made me think of my stroganoff with a couple twists and then baking it ... AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!
@@CookCleanAndRepeatyour link has 2 cups cooked chicken, chicken soup, no saute’, no onion no corn, no mention of garlic, & no crescent roll. Just glad I wasn’t the only one. Thought i was really losing it.
Hi Jen! I make a very similar dish to the French Onion casserole...I always make it a little different but the base is about the same. I call it my poor man's stroganoff & I do it all in 1 pot on the stove (minus the cheese & fried onions - I'll have to try that!) But it's definitely one of my go-to recipes! 🌽🌽🌽
Too funny. I just made a version of Doritos casserole. I do chicken, drained can of corn, rotel, cream of celery, cream of celery, cheese, and sour cream. Chips on top and bottom. I have made it for years. I keep wanting to try the beef version though. If I buy taco seasoning it’s Taco Bell. It’s the best! I usually make my own.
Hi!! These look amazing and i want to fix the Doritos casserole for dinner but what is in the video does not match what is in the link. I mean i will rewatch and write it down, but would like to print out and add to my stack and in case someone else wants to print. The link takes you to one with chicken. I thought maybe you just changed the meat but no onions in that one either. Thanks

Oh and Sheppards by for me I don’t add veggies in lol but lots of potatoes and cheese with some green onions on top. I never had it as a kid and I make it, not very often though.
🌽I've watched a bunch of your videos recently, my entire next week's menu is stolen straight from your archive. Can't wait to try the shepherd's pie and chicken spaghetti.
You have helped me learn how to cook ? My parents never taught me how to cook because they always told me I will burn myself on the stove? So I was always scared to cook.
I'm not the best cook but I've been watching your videos and I've been trying to cook something for my husband? He is hard to please? He all the time tells me you don't throw things together like that? 😞😭 What am I supposed to do then? I try to cook a yellow rice and chicken breast in a Pyrex pan spray it with pam spray and I put the yellow rice on the bottom of the pan and I cooked the chicken and put it on top of the yellow rice and put cream of mushroom soup on top and fried onions .I thought it was amazing but my husband said no this isn't how you do it
Prayers for you. My hubby was critical of my cooking when we first married. I was doing a good job too. A few times after he was so critical I made a meal that I knew he didn’t like. My go to angry meal was canned ravioli 😂. I served that meal with a sweet smile on my face too. He quickly shut up with the negativity and started thanking me for my meals ( even if I messed up a few times). Lesson learned. We’ve been married 27 years and he loves everything that I cook. No more ravioli meals either. I taught my son to appreciate any meal that your future wife cooks for you even if she messes up and to cook for her as well. Good luck mam and don’t give up

Don't know what part of N.C. you are but I pray yall are ok. You been in my prayers
I really enjoy your videos and recipes, but I was confused about the Dorito casserole since the video and recipe listed didn’t match up.
What didn’t match up about it?
The video uses ground beef and the crescent sheet on the bottom of the pan and the recipe link uses shredded chicken and no crescent sheet.
@@CookCleanAndRepeatyour link has 2 cups cooked chicken, chicken soup, no saute’, no onion no corn, no mention of garlic, & no crescent roll. Just glad I wasn’t the only one. Thought i was really losing it.

The only thing I do differently with the shepherds pie is make more of a gravy
