Not only is it a very scenic and pretty straightforward trail to maneuver. But the camping is also very scenic. Now the winter months is a different beast we've personal done it with no avail. Snow was to much to make out the trail path

yes, exactly. Although I haven't camped there yet, I often think about on my trips there.

Enjoying your videos. When I moved to Arizona in the mid 80s, completely ignorant of desert off roading, I drove my 1982 Mazda 626 Coupe all the way up to the top of 4-Peaks Road - and made it back! I eventually traded that car for a brand new 1986 Toyota 4x4 pickup with tall skinny tires. How I wish I still had that dependable little four banger!

Thank you! Love those old Toyotas! Figured I'd get the last of the last of the "old school" ones before they are gone. Although that new one does seem pretty sweet.

Four Peaks was my first trail in my 2020 Chevy Colorado. I had to laugh at seeing you air down. We got all the way to the end of the trail to see a Honda Civic at the top...
If you want to get to the top, but don't have all day, the trip up from the Lake Roosevelt side is much shorter, but a little steeper with a lot more highway driving. When we got to the top it was late. We had no idea the trip was so long and slow going. So, we went down the back way, and got to the bottom before the sun set. I will mention that there were a lot less opportunities for places to pull off and stop on that side of the mountain, but still a lot of great scenery.

Lol, Yeah, airing down was definitely not necessary but I think it made things a bit smoother. Definitely a great beginner trail as far as scenery/views vs difficulty. And honestly that's what I am. One day I'll make it to the lake!

This my 2nd time seeing your trips off road. I am looking forward to more since I am also in Arizona. I haven't done the Four Peaks Trail to Roosevelt Lake yet but I will. By the way I subscribed after the first video.

You don't need modifications for this trail. I've been to the top and back down with a stock XJ (when it was stock), and a stock 3/4 Ton truck. Except for when it's muddy, there aren't really any places on that specific trail where you absolutely need 4WD, just maybe a little clearance. Try going the other direction to Sycamore Creek - turn left (west) instead of right (east) off of the 87. Go past the little dam. You won't get stuck if you stay out of the soft sand in the creek bed. There are some really cool places to go back there... and some of them are fairly difficult for mostly factory vehicles.

Hey Adam....thanks for the props. It's one of my favorites for an easy day trip. Four Peaks not to far from Phoenix, AZ. Route 87 to the trailhead. azoffroad.net/four-peaks-trail

Thanks! I believe it's called Cline Cabin Rd. If you google Four Peaks Wilderness Area the staging area pops right up.

yup, under normal circumstance like in this video. After a hard, long rain, you'll have to evaluate it at that moment.
