forget the total boss move of going from the road car directly into the cup car on a single take; that speed differential between the two cars was just something else, especially around the final corner. great video and a PROPER comparison!!!
“Today we compare a street car and a race car back to back to find out which is better on a track” I appreciate that you TRIED to come up with a “plot”, but no one has ever wondered what the outcome is.
No actually it helps to determine how close the track focused GT3 does when compared with a pure track car. The result was very impressive given that the street legal GT3 can be a daily driver.

Was the GT3 chasing a turbo s? I'm surprised it could catch but on that track I presume the power advantage of the turbo was the edge as a GT3 should be holding pace alot more through the bends.
Today we find out the Turbo is faster than the Cup car on top end. It just walks the street car on corner exit to the next turn. They are still dentist killers…
@@ajfreshkid in a 911 GT3 Cup car they use a sequential manual six-speed dog-type G97/63 gearbox. I believe it’s a type of straight cut tho. No sound proving whatsoever in a Cup car.

and before you say "well the tires the GT3 were on are amazing & sticky etc"...coming from a guy that does track-days on motorcycles and has done track-days in cars, even the best DOT tires don't offer the grip levels of a decent slick tire...which the Cup car was on (for obvious reason's)
Really? It’s a bit quicker on straights (more HP, torque, AWD and less aero will do that) but he is braking much much earlier, holding up the GT3 around the corners and at every corner entry. I’m actually surprised the turbo doesn’t pull away more on the straights.
The Tesla wheel is preety much just for show, in a proper race car, these steering wheels actually help with the agility of the steering movements. Even F1 cars use similar steering wheels
@@heurekaproductions7182 yeah I've seen them in F1. They make sense if you have light steering and a super fast steering ratio but otherwise can't see it being useful /safe
The GT3 is one of the most useless cars produced, too fast (waaaaaay to fast ) for road use and not rigid enough for track driving. I would spend my money on a used Cup car and buy a nice 911 c2 for the road... it will cot you way less money in maintenance costs also....
The sound of strait cut gears......That's the sound of a race car.
oh dang. they fixed the volume problem and reuploaded.
still the sound of the porsche engines can bang me in the ass.
it’s a goddamn symphony

I definitely have, and to see how the street car fares in comparison. This is good use of access, not just some waste of time.
The narrative should have been, "how much better is the cup car on track?"
@@axelnussbaumer yes, exactly.
@@dhananjayringe he's talking about the title specifically. The race car will obviously be better on track, but by how much is the real question

Looks like a 1:29.5 for the GT3 and a 1: 22.4 for the cup. That turbo S was also hauling serious ass...
4 seconds right off the bat for race pads and R compounds.
No one talking about how fast that turbo was
If am not mistaken turbo has 650hp and gt3 has 520hp. It shows the strenght and weakness of both cars.
@@Redmongoose-rdm Turbo S was actually REALLY fast through the corners. I didn't see any weakness

Great to see this channel come back to life
Would have been interesting to compare laptimes
I can't believe they didn't!
Yes, but surely we can find the comparable times online?
That POV is just incredible.
Man I want a GT3 so bad.
The track seems perfect for testing agile cars. It was fun to watch.

The GT3 R should be interesting then.

Sorry but that Cup car doesn't sound too pleasing to me. Irritating is what it would say. It prob drives awesome but that sound is not a nice sound
