It is an exaggeration. It is a combination of beautifull lore, voice actors, graphic designers, its a mix and match whole package to make it work, just to credit it on the music only, doesn't give credit to the entire Mihoyo Genshin team.

With that logic the player base of the game would have dropped, but it did not. So this is proof that the gameplay is a bigger part of the reason why people play it.

It's amazing how well planned the music and art direction of this game is when the artistic motifs and musical leitmotifs of each region have already been arranged years before the actual regions even get rendered.

For Genshin, I am most satisfied with the beautiful graphics, excellent character design, and beautiful music. Many times, after completing all the missions and when there is nothing to play, I like to wander around Liyue and Mondstadt just to watch the beautiful scenery and listen to beautiful music, which is also a kind of enjoyment for me. The last time I liked the music of a game so much was in Nier Automata

I was so surprised and happy when Yu-Peng Chen came on to play the piano. Literally all of the music he composed for not only Genshin Impact but also Honkai Impact 3rd and Gun Girls I think(I'm not sure whether or not he worked on the other Mihoyo games) have been absolutely amazing. I was however rather disheartened when I saw all the comments making jokes about his position and laughing at him as the "random or weird Asian dude".

This resulted in a huge workload and unfair treatment for the main composer. Chen’s assistant was also sidelined and hoyoverse kept bringing in newcomers from other channels to join hoyomix.
I'm practicing this, I am currently at 1:59 section it's not hard enough to make you feel impossible to play, but you need to be really patient, I mean extremely patient to conquer full song since you have to practice again and again one small part
