That goes to show that the audience is not always right!
The Price is Wrong....B---h.
Holy backfire, Batman!
When this show orginally aired, there was an announcement concerning the Fun and Games Show that Bob used to do on the road coming to Buffalo, NY on April 24,at Memorial Auditorium- I attended that and Bob used a wireless mic and he chose contestants like T&C And it was the only time I saw Bob in person he walked 2 feet in front of us
I love these old Price uploads. I won't play spoiler, but I was in shock at the end.
RIP Bob
I think I can speak for all game show & tv fans (I’m more of a game show super fanatic myself) around the world by saying we wish you could’ve made 100. But 99 was in the cards & for God, the price was indeed right at 99!
RIP.
Once we lose Peter Marshall & Wink Martindale, that’s pretty much it for the goodies of that era.😢
Wow - the train makes an appearance during a pricing game!
I have this episode on tape when it was on GSN on a Win TV episode
That "Wonderful Ways to Get Wet" showcase theme must have been used somewhat regularly; they still had the art card to use on 4/1/88 (the show which featured the models dousing Holly with water).
Bob in his prime.
The French-Canadian lady is totally hilarious XD
indeed!
daffers234 She's a good sport!
Too bad she didn’t make it to the showcase
Being Canadian myself, with French background I was totally rooting for her.
I turned 6 years old on this day in 1982. I do feel old.
Dave McLemore What a wonderful memory!
Dave McLemore Me too!!
Actually I feel much much much older. I was a sophomore in high school in 1982.
Dave McLemore I remember this show. I was 5. The lady in the vest majorly wins. I can’t believe I remember this.
Dave McLemore and the lady in solid red is an idiot and bids a buck. Who bids a dollar on this. Crazy. That I was 5 and remembered that. Hahaha
Or the "Trading Game", since they renamed Barker's Bargain Bar the "Bargain Game".
20 April 1982 . Recorded on Tape
What a nice Showcase end!
Yeah. Ha-ha-HA!! on you, audience!
How "sweep" it is Patty did!
It was an amazing outcome. I'm so glad she won!
"Wonderful Ways to Get Wet"...🤨
What a risque title for a showcase...
Bob handled stupidity with humor.
Thanks so much for this! ❤
This is one SHOCKING ending!
I really thought the other lady won by bidding 1 dollar
And what a way to start the show an overbid
I’m guessing she stopped too soon in the Card Game?
Just a little bit... one more with a 2 to 6 or an Ace from $15-$615 and she would have won.
Trader Bob is another mini game on the price is right that I never saw during my childhood
I was going to ask about that! I have seen jillions of TPIR shows but I had never heard of Trader Bob game!
@@MontagZoso well I never heard of a hurdles based mini game and for good reason I was born 5 years after its retirement
Anybody else ever lost the Card Game by such a small margin?
It's happened many times... the closest loss we've seen is a $2 loss back during Christmas Week 1983 (December 20, 1983).
Wow. Just goes to show that audiences can be so, so wrong!!!
