In March 2014, vocalist M. Shadows revealed in an interview with Loudwire that the band had plans in the works to put something out for the overdue 10th anniversary of Waking the Fallen:[10]
We’re going to put something together for the 10 year anniversary of ‘Waking the Fallen,’ which is about 11 or 12 years now. We’ve been trying to think of something we could put together and we found some old demos that we did with Teppei [Teranishi] from Thrice before we even did that record.... We also found some old footage with [late drummer] Jimmy [Sullivan] playing some old shows at The Henry Fonda Theater in L.A., and the Ventura Theater. We’ll put together a cool DVD and some demo tracks and re-release ‘Waking the Fallen’ for newer fans of the band that haven’t gotten that or don’t know about the history of the band.

Sajid Karim Yea the Ventura Theater and Henry Fonda shows were in January and March of 2004. Waking the Fallen was released in August of 2003 I believe.

As a drummer, there is just nothing I don't admire and respect about Rev's playing. He never played it safe and he always wrote drum parts as opposed to just going for blinding speed (which he could do) that might not fit with the song. I know a lot of people cannot stand A7X, and I'm not a fan of everything they've done. But I'm a huge fan of Jimmy, and hate that he left us so young.
Exactly, he was such a ridiculously talented drummer, and was so creative on his tracks. Every track on City of Evil is insane, and his double ride fill is just amazing. He was truly a legend.

Jesus, im just trying to remember a day when A7X had to walk out on stage and introduce themselves…..
I specifically remember the day the video for this dropped, my buddies and I having band practice for the school talent show, waiting for the computer to dial into Compuserve so I can look up guitar tabs. When a friend hit me up on AIM to check out this video. A video of a bunch of kids just like us, going to a show where they played this masterpiece.

@@clarkfluegel6875 honestly, I want to say I torrented it 😬. I was pretty big into ThePirateBay/Utorrent/limewire/etc. and I vaguely remember (I could be remembering wrong) watching it on windows media player lol.
The other possibility is MySpace, but honestly I don’t really remember videos being a thing on MySpace so that’s why I’m like 99% sure I torrented it.

When I was boy I used to copy his screaming and my voice would eventuslly start hurting. After it stopped I would go again and again rinse n repeat. Now i can scream pretty well but I have problems with my voice now. For your safety U recommend not doing it unless you get professional vocal training.

The Rev :')
It blows my mind that more time has passed since the Rev left us to present day, than between The Rev passing away and Dimebag being murdered. It really puts time into perspective and how short life is, and how fast it can pass by at times when you are not paying attention. I hope those bad asses are in a better place and loving it.
Why do I feel like Matt's scream are not as powerful as the recording version?
because he was screaming the hell out of his throat since 2001. also this was one year after waking the fallen. of course it's gonna sound off after you scream like that for a while
