This is my favourite song from all Sonic games.
When I say to people "You'll never guess what stage music from Sonic 2 is my favourite" they never guess it.
Mostly because everyone automatically assumes I'm talking about the megadrive/genesis version.

Green Hills (Notice the "S"!) Zone is a level in Sonic the Hedgehog 2 for the GameGear that uses this song. It was later used by the same composer for the intro movie in Sonic CD (Japan and Europe version).
it doesnt really have a "S" that was a mistake from the company that made that (not Sega)
Actually, I think the deal was that Sonic 2 (all versions) and Sonic CD were in development simultaneously, and they had shared this as a common theme or something like that. Development for the Mega Drive/Genesis version of Sonic 2 went in a different direction so it contains no trace of this tune but the Master System/Game Gear version still does.
I could be wrong however.

Sonic CD's You Can Do Anything is Green Hills Zone from the 8-bit version of Sonic 2 on the SMS or GG. Mecha Green Hill Zone from Sonic Chaos is also related to Green Hills Zone from Sonic 2 (8-bit). Man, someone can do a whole document from just the words above.
I love this Track. Isn't it Odd that they released the 8-bit version of Sonic 2 before the Genesis Version? That means the 8-bit Version was the original.
