- It's that time of year, the time of year that we all wish it could be year round. Halloween! I've long been fascinated by costumes from history, rather than just historical costumes, so when some other Costubers got together to do some videos on Historical Halloween, I knew I had to join in! This costume is based on the cover of the November 1895 edition of Black Cat magazine.

Who doesn't love a bit of jaunty banjo? As always a huge thank you to Heftone Banjo Orchestra, via FMA for providing me with this music. Хобби
I love how Ivy's outfits get progressively spookier the more you watch
Day three outfit and everyday puppy dog are so cute!!
This is amazing! The 1890s are my favorite decade as well, something about those big sleeves and long skirts just seems so beautiful! It turned out so well! Witch hats for the win!
Hello sleeves 🤩, this is seriously breathtaking.
The dress is too cute
Also, want to do that polka dot fluffy collar for my cat 😭
Oh, you look lovely in that outfit! 💖 And I also love all your other outfits in the video and want them all! 😄
I am in awe of your talent and dedication to your craft! I truly admire your excellent work! Thank you for sharing!
I know that struggle of making gloves. My sis put together some instructions on the web to make an ok-ish pattern, but it was still several days of fiddly handwork (and I had leather which, at least, does not fray) Gloves are evil.
I saw this in the fb group feed and girl. this is gorgeous!!!
Wowww turned out so beautiful ! I love how interested you are in the 1890's - I just finished making an 1890's corset over on my channel and I love the shape. Interesting to see some outerwear too!
This outfit is ftw!
Please tell me you made the first dress you're wearing in the video and that there is a pattern, i'm in love 😍
It looks amazing.
That looks amazing 🤗❤
This was gorgeous! I saw your photos in the FB group so was excited to watch this.
What an absolutely stunning costume! I really appreciate knowing how to make the hat and bustle. Truly beautiful work!
Oh my goodness this came out looking just stunning I love the hat so much and the colours 😍
This came out so gorgeous! I love all of your outfits throughout the video as well :)
Did you make the black hat? If so, where did you get the pattern from? I love it! I feel your pain with gloves too
I totally just got it on amazon actually! I think I searched “modern witch hat”?
That was awesome! Good job.
It’s fun to see how you are able to make those amazing outfits. Thanks for sharing your process.
❤️ thank you so much! it means so much to me that people appreciate my costumes.
Lovely work! Thanks for the video.
You are brave! Creating something amusing. I enjoy the costume.
I think it looks great.
The day 3 dress is beautiful. I as so born in the wrong age though I would miss the modern bathroom lol.
The gloves were fantastic!
I had a beautiful pair of soft leather gloves. The pattern and sewing were quite intricate.
I just stumbled across this video. Wonderful job.
I love the hat. My Halloween skeleton (Krissy) is dressed in sparkly green for Christmas but needs a red hat. I can use that part of your video to finally get her head covered.
Thank you !
I love the outfit
super cute
love how it turned out!
also your capelet from day one is soo pretty! did you make it as well?
The dress is beautiful! the only thing that I would say about the video would be to try and cut down on the um's. I know its hard but I think it will improve the quality so much. You are doing grate. Keep up the good work.
Thank you, I will work on that!
@@thesewloartistThey could work on their spelling...
Why not change the gloves to a fingerless style they could be done very pretty with less issues????
