    It would be better if they would improve the dungeons / fighting movements. It's funny to fight an npc while another npc stands there and lets it happen. It is by far ready for mainstream playing. There really is no need for a house / bed / furniture since it isn't used but objects in the way which is why most buildings are completely empty. They should make beds a spawn location like most games in this category. Being able to teleport to other stones as a faster method of travel would be great too. So much potential.

    I wonder why the topic of an upcoming wipe keeps resurfacing on this channel, especially when there’s been no official word from the developers on the matter. Wishful thinking, perhaps? If someone wants a fresh start, they can always delete all their characters. The developers have promised to avoid unnecessary wipes, and so far, they’ve honored that promise. The previous wipe was due to the removal of all servers and the creation of new ones, but currently, there’s no rational reason for another wipe.
    What’s more interesting is whether players on consoles or using GeForce Now will be able to play alongside PC users. Every time I hear about the addition of religion and feudalism, I hope the developers will prioritize finishing the economic system and improving the combat mechanics first.

      I don't see any reason why GeForce Now users wouldn't be able to run with PC players. It's fine in all the other games I've played over it. I feel like the console stuff is some heavy speculation though and hope it doesn't happen.

      It's a head's up, to allow you to prepare for the inevitable: There will be another one at least, possibly more; some new things can be dropped in, generally without issue, but more major additions will often require a wipe just like most EA games in this state require. The good news is that (so far) their wipe system allows us to keep our skills. Hopefully we'll not have a full wipe until release, but if something goes south with an update it can happen. Having been through many wipes in other games (often full wipes), I appreciate the head's up as this game is a lot harsher to start over from scratch on.

      @@charless2450I’ve only prepared for let downs so far with this game

      @@Nasamun I’ve never used GeForce Now, so I’m not sure how it impacts gameplay, but I was more referring to console players. On one hand, having more players could be a positive thing, but on the other hand, mixing console and PC players has always caused issues. I’d really like to hear an official statement from the developers on this matter.

      @@charless2450 I don’t see this as a warning to prepare for the inevitable. I think everyone knows there will be a wipe at launch, and for those who don’t, it’s enough to simply say, ‘Remember, after the official launch, you’ll have to start from scratch.’ A fair approach would also be to discuss the scenarios in which a wipe might be more or less likely. However, constantly shouting about a wipe at every opportunity feels like fear-mongering to me and discourages people from playing. It also shows a lack of understanding on the part of the person making such claims.

    This game is a lag fest in crowded areas.
    Armanhac is at capacity (no further plots can be placed), and everybody in the local chat has noticed how horrendous the lag has become ...
    But they're ready for a console release 😅

    • @Humerox
      @Humerox 8 дней назад

      Well...the lag won't be so bad if you're on Geoforce, yeah? And I run the game on a 2018 machine with an RTX 2070 Super and an i5-6600k chip with some load lag, but not much else. Dunno know what you're running, but...

      The problem is optimization. The game loads down with lag as players place assets, which is expected in an unrefined early access, but it's not okay for the console consumers. I couldn't imagine Sony or Microsoft licensing this game in its current state.
      We saw what CyberPunk 2077 did to the consoles. Those systems simply couldn't handle the computing demand mixed with the state of the game at release.

    • @charless2450

      Optimization unfortunately tends to be put off until the end, and massive builds or a lot of builds in a small area are always terrible. I wish I could say it would better soon, but I don't expect them to be looking at optimization until well into 2025.

      This game will always struggle with lag near buildings as long as each structure consists of thousands of individual elements, and each building also contains hundreds or thousands of player-crafted items. These items are rendered and processed for everyone, even when players don’t have access permissions to the containers where those items are stored.
