- Didn't think I'd get the game but because I have a really good friend I now own it. I will get around to uploading all the main quests after I get through the game once to get an idea of where the main quests are. But for now here's a glimpse of the gameplay. I do still think the PS2 Macross game has a better Valkyrie feel than this one but since we're never going to get it I'll choose to count my blessings instead and I think that this game's feel is the 2nd best so far.

I feel like we need more games like this.
I really do appreciate that the gameplay for this is like a really refined version of the PSP games.
only thing i dislike about this game is the limits on where u can fly. combine this with the freedom and scale of an ace combat game and it'd be perfect. that and more songs :P
Cool, I love the look of the "Do You Remember Love?" Valkyries, they took the classic SDF designs and amped them up in a very badass way.
Yeah shame we need to bug Namco Bandai and Studio Big Westfrontier to remake Macross VF-X 1 and 2, Macross M3 and this one so fans can actually play games with canon story events.
@@barrybend7189 I am still mad half of the games I like from the Macross series never got a re-release or even an HD remaster. You either have to keep a working PS3 to play those games along with whatever other console you own or go full pirate mode.

Didn't even know this game existed. Loved the PS2 game. Wish these games were more popular in the US.
Yeah. Problem with Macross is licensing. I believe Harmony Gold is holding onto and won't let go until the sun implodes.

It's called Macross 30: Voice that Connects the Galaxy (or something like that. I think it was released for the 30th anniversary of Macross).
rubedokukai We need a Macross game from the team that makes Ace Combat. Something with more of a flight sim feel would be awesome.

@@ILLRICARDO the general consensus is that it is the best Macross game. It plays like the PSP ones but more refined and smooth. Personally it is my 2nd favorite as the PS2 one is my favorite. If you are able to get it, do it.
This game looks great. It looks like a polished and improved Robotech: Battlecry. Even though Robotech is slightly different from Macross since it was adapted for the American audience, I'll definitely need to import this game since another Robotech game is unlikely to happen.
Yeah this game is awesome. My 2nd favourite Macross game ever. Valkyrie controls are great and smooth. Definitely import it if you have the chance.

There was a japan only SDF Macross game for the PS2. That was my favourite as I felt the Valkyrie handled more "realistically" than any other game. I recorded my playthrough of the game. ruclips.net/p/PLFB95874E439FEDF0
Ah okay. I've heard about that game. Too bad it could never come to the US due to Harmony Gold having the licensing rights to Macross outside of Japan.
Why the figher floats around instead of flying fast as a true fighter should do??
Considering how small these maps are, you won't like a fighter with its actual speed. Also, most of the time you'll find yourself doing things in either gerwalk mode or battroid mode, to me, fighter mode is just a way to get across the map fast (combined with SP afterburner.)
I feel surprised when we can use VF-1 fast pack in the atmosphere
Yeah. I don't remember if they explain it in the story but I know that you never get to go into space in this game, so I feel they let you just so that you'll have a chance to use it.
And the SLDF said LAM were an awful idea (this is a joke, just in case I step on a landmine)

oh haha I deleted my comment. thanks for the reply. yeah for sure I wasn't pressing circle but it's weird I kept going through that loop and finally one time after selecting difficulty it actually moved forward into the game and I have now played a couple of missions even though I don't know any Japanese lol. Google translate does help. thx again!
How do you get the super packs?
It's been a long time since I've played it but I think you just unlock them as the story goes on.

Can this game be played on android and what emulator runs it
It's a PS3 game, so you'd need a PS3 emulator. I myself am not familiar with PS3 emulators

Yeah. Region locked and japanese only
It’s a PS3 game so no, it’s not region locked. You can play Japanese PS3 games on US PS3s, or any NTSC PS3 in general.
As far as language yes- Japanese only.
