You should have joined the airforce so you can call yourself a real cook lol 😆🤣 don't worry the Army and the Marines we don't trust the cooks I mean most of them were women so pretty much most of all the guys slept with them so we were definitely not eating the cook's food they might have glass and poison I may be some sort of explosive lol 😅😆🤣 we'll just need an MRE instead lol 😆🤣😆🤣 but I give you this and he cook will be better than the space force cooks 😂😂 I mean they're still trying to figure out life and what their whole position is in the military anyway
In the Australian Army in my day, we called cooks "Fitters and turners" fit it in the pot, turn it into sh!t. (In fact the food was plentiful and very good.)
My Uncle Jack was a mess cook in the army for 6 years. He said it was 1 of the 2 most important MOSs in any branch of service(payroll/accounting being the other) I asked once why they were the 2 most important and he said as long as a soldier is feed and his moneys in the bank he'll do damned near anything, but if he's broke and hungry he won't do sh*t. After I enlisted and spent 20 years as a military cop I realized he was damned near right.
I’m from Petaluma it’s a beautiful chill town with a lot of stuff to do. Amazing area and not the typical “california” you would think of. It’s a very historic farming town back in the day and was the chicken capitol of the world. Old brick hatchery buildings scatter the town and some turned into cool beer gardens and such. Really unique area.
I hate to break it to you guys, but. Messcook doesn't mean what you think it means. Messcook is like a Messcrank in the Navy. They clean the dishes and kitchen after a meal.
Seriously a "culinary" training center in Petaluma? That's a pretty easy place to serve for 13 weeks. After that all the Coast guard stations are either boiling hot, freezing cold, or have prevailing gale force winds.
That's not entirely true. I had a duty cook who grew up in Georgia cooking with her grandmother. That girl cooked some good food for my station. Her duty would start at 6 am, but it was not uncommon for her to show up at 4 am to start cooking breakfast. Let me tell you, she made some good food.
I remember i was thinking about joining and just being a cook. But then my Cousin was like, "Bro thats the Bitch job, you're gonna be handing out shit like "HeRE YOu gO"...." And that is one reason i never wanted to join up lol.
Yeah it's the coast guard most don't even have anything to do with guns only a few puddle pirates are "combat" trained the rest are just trained to give navy femboys happy endings.
This girl is probably a nonrate. Which means she probably hasn't gone to culinary school yet. She could be a CS3, but I'm getting nonrate vibes from her. For those of you who don't know, most often, the E2s and E3s in the Coast Guard don't have a rate/mos yet. Hence why they are called nonrates. At many smaller units the mess cook is a nonrate who's job is to serve food, clean, and do dishes. Sometimes they actually cook, but I've only seen that when the duty cook is a dirt bag and doesn't show up on time.
I was trained in high school for the Culinary Specialist position I received in the United States Navy. Loved that JOB 😅

Iv been a chef for 20 years ACF, AND LOVE that they do this in 13 weeks
She’s opening up a diner once she’s out
A lot of USCG A-schools are in Petaluma. I went to Telecommunication A-School there.
Why do the cooks get nice training places lol everyone else is stuck with the shitty east coast for AIT
@@bakedbeansbaby3908 It's to trick them into thinking their job is going to be awesome.
I’d do it. Tactically of course.

Now I want a documentary comparing the differences in training and practice of the different military branches cooks.
That may just be a winning piece of trivia.
Just so y'all know... The CG actually goes hard asf.
I've seen a lot of videos talking about how CG boot camp is 2nd to the Marines.
Drop Down and Give me 50 lbs of Julienne Baby Carrots! 🥕😅
Marine half way done with crackers and peanut butter says, "what?"
Do this if you wanna be a cook.
I did the art school route and now I'm unemployed and in debt.😊
It's weird when a video suddenly shouts out your hometown outta nowhere
Every Mess Specialist I knew in the Navy, went on to open a bar, diner, restaurant or pizza joint.
Awesome. I respect this women for shooting for the best instead of just serving people slop
It takes 13 weeks to learn how to boil a bag?

Coast Guard Culinary Specialists are thorough!

Also a 60k signing bonus for anyone with culinary experience.
I learned at an early age that you never piss of the people that pay you or feed you lolol
Well trained
Yes I used to go up to their school sometimes for breakfast when I was in RM A school.
One of the most important jobs in the military. Full stop.
I know Petaluma very well but I didn't know that your super amazing bro
Semper Paratus! coasties deserve more credit. fair winds and following seas...cheers
Man.... fried chicken would be lit

Chow hall on the marine base was way better than the navy one in A school. They all read from recipe cards
I had a very zany experience when I was there for FS A school (now CS).
The mess hall line had to break for any officer, and there were often ‘’seconds’ called.
same length of time as the marine boot camp
Fcking Love you brother
Its like the dishwasher job in a restaurant: it aint glamorous but it needs to be done or you cant do business. Do it, and do it well.
Exactly...doing dish room is the only job in food services that nobody stabs you in the back to advance. Sometimes being humble is best.
Its not necessarily the skill of the cooks usually, just shoot ingredients they get at least in the army
They should call it food service management. There is no “cooking” happening in those kitchens.

Army just gets 10 weeks, no wonder our food sucks.
Haha screachyow!
Mmm, i haven't poisoned anyone.

MRE'S are gifts from our Lord!
Can someone explain why she's wearing belt keepers?

92 g retired. Go get em Spoon!
I've been to Petaluma
Nothing funny about a 75k bonus for chef

I'm surprised that it isn't the school that MS's er... Navy CS's attend for their training track?
We are all on the same team. TEAM USA. In coming conflict we will need to work together regardless
Rumor is she has killed fitty men 😂
So they get more training in cooking then with their guns?
Yeah it's the coast guard most don't even have anything to do with guns only a few puddle pirates are "combat" trained the rest are just trained to give navy femboys happy endings.
@@chadklaren9537 I wish to join the coast guard for the navy femboys! I mean serve my country
If the cooks have to pick up guns then that means everyone else is dead.

And Petaluma is out in the middle of cow pastures for miles and miles and the whole tracen smells like manure.
Get the hell out of the kitchen ( CHUBS) save yourself soon 🐾
