- In this update I install the aftermarket 3D printed Rec Deck from Hobbiwerks.com in the saucer of the model. Next I show how to set up the LED flood light effect at the front of the bridge.

You summoned your nerves of steel when applying that thin CA to the "lighthouse" LED... my heart was in my mouth. There must be a better way of positioning something like that with putty or a little styrene stand...

Yes, with working on all of the interior spaces they are like separate models themselves.

For clear parts like ur impulse crystal. you can use pva glue , or resin. Jb quick or a couple of dabbs of your solar rez to tack it down if you can't use super glue.
Yes, I use my Solar Rez to tack in clear wind shields on car models and it works great. Just back up with regular glue around the edges from the inside. The stuff has a million uses.

Merry Christmas Boyd. Great idea painting the B/C deck before installing the bridge. Way easier then the way I did it. Great build so far.

You have done an excellent job here explaining and sharing information both on the complex wiring and lighting but also the different aftermarket parts available for this kit.The rec deck and officers lounge are incredibly detailed, lighted and painted and have some visible crew members as well.

I have a simple method for replacing the sanded off phaser bank detail which I will be showing.

Are you or how do you put lenses into the officer's lounge and rec deck? 🤔
I'll show that putting in the officers lounge window and the arboretum on both sides.
Weird. My comment about some resources for a deep dive on the rec. deck detailing 3D model I have been working on for a future 3D printed part (which will be based on the screen-accurate set blue print=s (converted to a forced perspective version) keeps disappearing. Not sure if that is a RUclips thing (because it has a URL link in it) or it keeps getting deleted.
I think RUclips only allows the video publisher to post links in the description or comments.
Happy new year. What part number is the HDA bridge piece? It looks great.
So instead of moving the bridge forward for the flood light effect...could you file down the front part underneath so you don't get the shadow?
You would need to file down a lot of the forward edge of the b/c deck which probably wouldn't look too good from the outside.

Would painting/light blocking the top of the spotlight on the bridge maybe stop it from shining up? Just wondering.

LEDs tend to look brighter in video than IRL.
