- Spellbreak's spell combination system is my favorite part of the whole game. Weaving different spells together to be a battle mage is all well and good; but my interest doesn't lie in how it functions as a battle royale. Instead I just love the spell casting system found and honestly just want some less pvp focused game to jack it. Only half kidding.

This video is more a resource to see all the different elemental spells currently in Spellbreak - as well as all the ways they interact.
Spellbreak as a battle royale game is really interesting because it infuses many RPG elements into it and then tacks on this crazy elemental spell system. Spellbreak is a battle royale that is appealing outside of it's genre.

You can re-freeze steam to make little ice rocks

@@Fevir Steam clouds can also be turned into poison clouds or frozen. The toxic tornado, can be lite aflame. Air, has a similar but different interaction when it collides with another projectile, it will deflect the ability rather than turning to steam/detonating etc. You can throw a boulder through a flame wall, and also create the meteor effect.
Kind of side note too, if it hasn't been changed. If you have two of the same gauntlets ( usually cared a spare or two of same or varying elements for certain situations ) the special ability for the element has an independent CD. Wearing two earth? You can fire two separate CD boulders.
Can you trap someone in a frozen toxic cloud?

IF you freeze a toxic cloud while someone's inside it, it'll disappear, leaving the ice on the ground, and instantly freezing anyone who was inside the cloud
And the toxic tornado lite aflame that our friend talked about, basically, creates a huge 3-section toxic/fire explosion from the ground-up. Remember the size of that fire tornado? Yeah, exactly

the devs said on one of their youtube videos that the battle royal is just a simple way for the game to gain traction, they are planning to add some much more unique game modes later on
Me too. I have next to no interest playing it as a battle royale - but I am infatuated with it's gameplay.
A man walks into a bar and orders a drink. The bartender gives the man his drink and the man asks "If I show you something crazy, would let me have free drinks for the rest of my life?"
The bartender thinks for a minute and then says "It would to be something spectacular to take that offer." The man leans down and picks up a box and sets it on the bar. He opens the box and inside is a small piano man, who is only 1 foot tall, and a little piano. The piano man starts playing classics like Mozart and Beethoven.
Once he finishes, the bartender is in utter disbelief. He tells the man "You can have free drinks for the rest of the night, but only if you tell where you got this." The man says "In the alley way behind your bar, there is a Genie who is granting free wishes to everyone who wants them." Elated, the bartender heads behind his bar to see if it was true.
A few minutes pass and out of the alleyway erupts a cacophony of quacking. The bartender rushes back into the bar and shuts his door against a wave of thousands of ducks. He manages to secure the door and says to the man "I think that the Genie is hard of hearing, because after I asked for a million bucks, these ducks appeared by the thousands." The man chuckles and says "Do you really think I wished for a 12 inch pianist?"

I typically don't enjoy battleroyals, but I think this would actually be fun to play with a shit ton of people with a shit ton of synergies flying around. What makes this br different from others is the fact that your loadout can directly interact with the loadout of your teammates. It's like a whole new level of strategy.
And faking lagging with 10 people spam their spell
They are going to add more game modes
The Devs really meant what they said that this game was way more than just a battle royale. This is impressive, I see a proper competitive game here.

Earth's magnetic field weakens sun light and turns it to less dangerous lights which is not too much radioactive. If magnetic vacuum forms that sun light can make cancer, can destroy wireless signals and can burn electronics by becoming electricity. See sun light can become electricity and burn electronics basicly it is EMP weapon. Microwaves, solar radiation, magnetic energy can burn electronics. Space satellites can burn. So there is no free energy, no clean energy, no endless energy, all energy comes from sun. Also Earth's Magnetic Field comes from sun too. Because when light hits you, it becomes heat and electro magnetic energy or it becomes electron. So light doesnt end it just becomes a different thing. So by using electric, you are making heat and light and sending this energy to the space. You are stealing energy from Earth and sending it to space.
This is a secret, nearly all humans are demons from Saturn and Venus and they will delete this things i have written. You know rich people, government, police, CIA, USA all demons and science is a lie. They are destroying Earth's life energy for making electricity; they are using us as slaves. Umm... it’s called shinobi striker and it’s been out for a while now. I wouldn’t buy it though because they fucked up their servers a few weeks after it was released so you couldn’t refund it.
@@TT-nk3ho I think what the guy meant was a game where "elements interact with each other" like in Spellbreak. He wants a game like that except for Naruto Universe.
Naruto Shinobi Striker isn't like that. Elements don't interact with each other in Shinobi Striker and the game isn't as deep and well developed as Spellbreak.

4:54 That statement about "elemental reactions" really reminds me of the "Magicka" series, except were as that game has a top-down view while Spellbreak is third-person. Beyond that and the fact that Maicka is a linear, adventures/questing game and SB is or will start off as a "battle royal" type of game, the concept of combining different elements to compose different spells of create new effects is similar enough, which is to say I love this! Like let's say in future when this game is more well established, they added more elements for use to mess around with, new things to combine like say they added elements of like "life", wood, metal, and maybe water as it's own thing. These don't all have to be included but more like just getting the brainstorming going as what might be added in the future.
Or we could just turn this into an Avatar world based RPG

The devs said they used the br mode to create the core game mechanics. They also said they will add more modes to the game.

I know it's kinda late to comment, just discovered this little gem! But I just wanted to say that this game looks AWESOME, great concept and I'm not just saying that because I'm a sucker for the A-typical fantasy trappings neither. What I really love about this is the potential synergy that could develop, the clever combinations, the possible "techniques" (ways of using "spells" and combos that the devs could not have foreseen but aren't entirely cheesy/lame, hopefully..), and of course all the kinds of modes or scenarios that would greatly benefit from these spell mechanics. All that said I'll maintain a healthy dose of skepticism until I've seen and learned more about this project, hope to see this idea really take off in the near future!
P.S. I'm also a fan of the more abstract or colorful art style. I like the warm and vibrant atmosphere!

Literally the biggest issue with Spellbreak is that it's a Battle Royale. It's a battle royale with a gimmick, and compared to TITANS like Fortnite and Apex Legends, it's really going to struggle for putting itself into that market. This game could be an absurdly fun 1v1 style fighting game, or a highly above par RPG, but because of it being a BR, it will suffer.
Monster of Analysis I hate that people hate it only because it is a battle royale. Before Apex i thought that i would try this one, but now this ones looking overshadowed
Its literally going to be the most unique br on the market. The devs already said there's going to be other modes too. I'd hate for thd game to be another absolver
@@snkenjoyer4989 That's not entirely true, uniqueness isn't a selling factor with BRs, you have one game mode. There's not much you can do with a BR.

A man is walking by his son's room, when he hears him praying...
...and he decides to poke his head in the door to see what he is saying.
"Dear God, I love Mommy, Daddy, and Grandma. Bye bye Grandpa."
The father thought this was strange, but didn't pay much mind to it, as his young son was just expressing his feelings.
The next day the man comes home from work to find out that the Grandpa had died earlier that day of a surprise heart attack.
The day after the funeral the man is going to bed when he hears his son praying again. He decides to listen in again, afraid he might be traumatized by the death.
"Dear God, I love Mommy and Daddy. Bye bye Grandma."
This time he was more than a little freaked out by this, but still didn't take too much notice to the apparent coincidence. But then...
The next day the father returns home from work to find out the Grandma died that day from a surprise heart attack. The father was starting to worry about his son at this point. He listened in every night to see if he prayed but he didn't... at least not until the day after the funeral.
The father did his usual check on his son, when he heard him distinctly praying again. He slowly poked his head through the door to listen.
"Dear God, I love Mommy. Bye bye Daddy."
Of course, the father was more than worried about this, he was downright paranoid. The next day at work, he was avoiding anything that could potentially harm him. He hid under his desk, and kept a phone nearby in case something happened. After the longest day of his life, he safely returned home to discover several police cars around his house blaring lights and putting up caution tape everywhere.
He wanders up to the door, confused, when his wife leaps into his arms, and starts crying. He asked what happened, and she says:
"Oh the most terrible thing happened today! The mailman died of a terrible heart attack right on our doorstep!"
WOOOOOW!!! I did NOT see that coming!!! Good one

Steel would be an interesting element to implement. Long windup projectiles. Will carry electricity and fire for stun or burn effect. Will be corroded by toxin. Shooting into the ground will halt lance-like abilities like the trailing frost or the line of stone.
Actually, after thinking on it for a but while writing my first post I think this sort of gameplay could lend itself well to *a "roguelike" mode of sorts.* I think that'd make a great addition to the game, plus I I've been recently been trying to get into more games like that and any type of game with this kind of element combination system would be something I'd play in a heartbeat! *Think randomly generated dungeons with elemental traps, puzzles and varying enemy types that require clever combinations of spells or elements to counter these obstacles and foes you could face!*

This looks so legit ! I don't even like battle royal games been into paladins lately but this looks like actual fun!
I thought of a game like this when i started watching avatar: the last airbender. Very much in detail, I thought of having elemental gloves and how they could interact with each other. It makes me wonder if I have potential to create new video game concepts.
When I heard that there were combos in this game, I was expecting that you create an elemental orb in each gauntlet, put your hands together to combine them, then launch it as a brand new attack, but this is fine too I guess.
I honestly put my expectations a bit too high. I wish the game had more than just one sorcery for each element. And more combinations. I thought it'd be the game I always dreamed of where there are tons of combinable things that you can use in a battle just like in an anime. But its just 2 elements being possibly combined. I wish you could also have more than 2 gauntlets too. I just had expectations exceeding far more than just an indie creator can make

@Fevir after launching yourself with the wind talent, it looked like firing off wind shots allowed you to stay in the air longer. Might be worth noting as part of it's mechanics.
Especially if you consider some of the Tempest class's scrolls.
Firing off shots extends your time in the air,period. Tempest's skills improve that, if I remember right.

I was hyped about this game because of its graphics and animations, but then I found out it was a battle royale and I was depressed.

@Galactic BananaEven though I don't like battle royale in general, for me its less about there not being any "good ones" and more about there being just alot in general. Kind of a saturated market right now which in turn means these cool visuals and combat could be totally wasted by the game being overshadowed by the ton of other games including the big ones (Fortnite, Apex, PUBG). Also the visuals and the combat mechanics cause my eye when this video popped and I thought it was an cool upcoming new rpg or co-op focused game or something....then like everyone else saw battle royale.

A few inaccuracies about game mechanics:
Ice on the ground will not increase your movement speed UNLESS you have 1 specific rune.
Stone primary attack will hit someone in the air. it has an existing hit box that is not tethered directly to the floor it travels on.
The boulder does more damage as it gets bigger! If you pelt someone point blank you will do minimal damage. Damage scales with size, size scales on distance, with a cap.
Lightning absolutely does not have underwhelming damage and is regularly referred to as the most broken gauntlet in the game.
Couldnt really watch more after that but you know... thought id help out any viewers trying to learn the game before they can play!
