    I also had a problem with my controller - the instructions on the website are backwards. Press and hold the up button to set the lower limit and the down button to set the upper limit

    Remember to only use distilled water or add a de-mineralizer... otherwise you'll get a white dust coming out over time

      That sounds like spores dropping. I’ve never used distilled water

    This video was very helpful. Thank you!
    Why no official video from NorthSpore yet on how to use / set up this system?
    The too much water issue - I found that if I use the lower setting on the humidifier it gives me less water on the bottom of the tub.

    Thank you for sharing. I am planning to purchase the kit. My husband is curious about growing mushrooms at home, and I love the idea of a simple kit setup. Since you posted this video, is there any update on how the mushroom growth is going?

    This video is great. Just bought the automated monotube. My question is how often do you run the fan. Is it constantly blowing air in? Very helpful video

  • @user-it4pq1vi5e

    Am thinking about buying one of these kit but am unsure should the fan be on constantly with 90% humidity or just on a few times a day ?

    • @EverWanderBud
      @EverWanderBud 4 месяца назад +1

      Also yes you want the fan running all day with 90% humidity. But you can use the cycle timer and choose how long it runs and how often. Example like runs every 5 mins for 45 secs, for example.

    • @user-it4pq1vi5e
      @user-it4pq1vi5e 4 месяца назад +1

      @@EverWanderBud would that be for the humidifier. so fan running all day with humidifier going off every 5 minutes for 45 seconds at 90 percent.?

    • @tonileekingery
      @tonileekingery  4 месяца назад

      It depends on what you plan to grow inside but the fan should be going all day, you can change your humidity setting to be more suited to what you are growing and don’t need anything extra. It’s a lot of playing around because everyone’s environments are different. (:

    Thank you for positing this!! I have question for you as I’m new to this. I am researching a P.Cubensis strain so a little different then what’s in this video, how you have it out on a shelf in the living room, do the mesh filters keep out contaminants when it’s out in the open? My plan was to keep it in my tent with a light bulb, is it okay to keep it in an enclosed space like a tent for FAE? I have no problem leaving it out of my tent with the automated kit but I am worried it would contaminate it not being in the tent. Any input is very welcome!!! Thank you so much

    • @tonileekingery
      @tonileekingery  3 месяца назад

      Yeah, the filters do a great job of keeping out contaminants (:

    • @bennelson9289
