I recently seen fake expensive purses being sold, love that they are fake expensive brands being distrubuted to people like you and me who don't want to spend 800 dollars on a luxury purse for the wife. More vacation money.
You should compare resistance between original and fake. I personally do believe this is most important, but it might be a difference on the protected screen as well, so more noise.
And some more and more on top of that... And unfortunately if somebody coughs that amount of money for a cable he's not really willing to disassemble it and do some experiments involving maybe some cutting ;)
It was 250USD, shipping included. AFAIK Level X has connectors for two cables separately, standard one has only one connector. As for voltage that is applied to shield thats boils down to the same connections.
Level 'X' got upgraded capacitor. Comparing the Carbon (flat black) model with Level 'X' (grossy black with letter X), the Level 'X' has less grains. The zero tech DBS with XLR models has twin connectors. The zero tech DBS with RCA has just one.
@@fastrick I bought used old Water came with Cabon DBS. The new Water came with Level X DBS. The old above Water models came with Black DBS. All new zero tech ones came with level X DBS.
@@chatrs1025 yes on the outside they do differ. I have to take mine apart to check that capacitor thing, it's interesting as for battery power without load capacitor would change much
I've got the genuine Thunderbird cables ... they are great but you aren't having them to strip down lol .... if you come to SW London at all bring your fake ones and pop by me to compare! Mine have dual DBS with the 'X' too but I bet these won't sound much different to the real ones if my fake AQ Fire cables are anything to go by !!
I'd love to! Actually I will be in London during next week, but that will be on business, and this means 10h work and then some rest in hotel near St Pancras :)
Trying to make a rca cable sound like XLR ? RCAs are 10db - XLRs 4db + so are they trying to boost the signal with a battery? This is not pro audio? In professional audio applications XLRs do this by design! If you were trying to match signal levels you would use converter box ? Not put batteries on cables ? Snake Oil ..
@@ernestporee3697 these do something else completely. They are connected internally so they create electrostatic field biasing the insulation. These are not connected to signal lines. It's all in patent whitepaper (publicly available) and it works, but I personally don't like the effect and I keep them disconnected. It makes the sound softer and a little mellow and some guys swear by this. But it's not my cup of tea. I always disconnect these. I also had quite a lot of original AQ cables with DBS, it's exactly the same. In single ended your signal voltage range is 0 to +2V, in balanced you have -2V to 0 and then symmetrical 0 to +2V effectively giving you 4V for voltage swings. Is that what you mean when you're talking about difference in decibels?
Been considering these or the fake dragon interconnects since havi g been impressed with their fake dragon power cables with real audioquest niagraga 1200. I wish I had bought another dragon power cable. Can't wait to hear your thoughts. They are heavy and quiet stiff though.
@@k4syxI ha e a dragon source and high curre t amp dragon cord and need another one for my amplifier . Niagraga 12000 has its own and so does my dac. I have not had luck with power cords (synergistic master couplers from back in the that are great for amplifiers) until I plugged in a source dragon into my dac and it's staying . I will be buying dragon speakers cables at some poi t as well but I have mostly been using all this in a headphone setup using my 2 channel rig and other headphone amps/dacs and the difference is noticeable. Just for heck of it I ordered some fake nordust Odin rca, 75 ohm and 110 digital and Odin usb cable and been impressed. I have no experience with how it compares to the real thing but I have been impressed with it for how little it costs. Also some fake audioquest digital wild blue yonder I would like to try also since I have had good luck with fake audioquest eagle eye digital and their sky silver interconnects.
😊For AudioQuest SureGrip500 vs SureGrip1000 all buyer had Questing too. May i know How Pure is the Copper ! & is it Pure copper or Purple copper 99% or more !! Spec Spec pls ! Is it Above 99% copper & 0.7% of Beryllium or just Beryllium M25 Alloy or Beryllium 25 or Beryllium 165 or !😊 & Whats Is Purple vs Red copper means?
great first look again, I'm very curious again. :-) Keep the good work! 🙂
There is something ironic and wonderful about "fake" snake oil products

If you had the real aq Thunderbirds also, it would be a blast to demo them against the fake one

Genuine aq cable this series cost many, many dollars....

Do you have a link to where you bought these on AliExpress?
Yes, but I wouldn't like to share links to fakes..
Thanks for your review. How much is that fake cable? What is the differnce between DBS Level X and the normal one please?

I need your opinion, please. Is the Thunderbird better sounding than real Water? I have Water rca.
Yes it is. The full review is still ahead, but its better than my real Water XLR was (sold it already)
@@k4syx Thank you
The most important thing is how do they measure and sound like the real ones
Yes I'll do the listening test soon, as I did for other ics I've tested (fake and real)
It's sounds like fake, nothing more....only visual effect from chinesse fake's manufactore....
Inside noname wire...

Good job. What was the price?
It's was like 250USD, that changes slightly depending on the exchange ratio
Hi great video, thanks for highlighting affordable options, how much are the cables ?
It was like 250USD for these, shipping included, but I've used some ali coupons.

It's iacs, cheap brass connectors is what f up sound. Go direct wire or tellurium copper connector.
these are rca's, kinda hard to go bare wire ;)
Why would cheap brass connectors f up the sound?
