Another solid review guys, one item of note is that the 10% better light transmissibility improves any tube. In other words, it makes a great Photonis, Elbit, or L3 tube (any tube) even better, and I have to say that it worked pretty well for nighttime use on the 1X red dot scope on my Trojan Firearms .223.
I hear a lot of guys in a discord server watching the Boomslang closely. Is there a RUclips short anywhere that shows a side by side view as opposed to a circle overlay?
Yes, the wider field of view still leaves you with great eye relief. Unlike some cheaper 50 degree options out there where you basically have to install your unit into your eye sockets. Boomslang is built right.
Well in order to get the wide 50 degree angle, then yes, but if you run it at the same eye relief as Carson then you get the exact same 40 degree view. Gives you options that were previously unavailable and will be optimized in a panoramic bridge configuration.
@@jurpo6 True that there are optical limitations inherent to using the PVS14 lens geometry but to get a better idea of the eye relief situation I highly recommend Cold Harbour Media’s video which shows FOV at all different eye relief distances for all major PVS14 lenses commercially available.

How in the hell do you guys only have 16k followers? Your thermal videos are amazing for anyone looking for information on this trend.
I can verify these are awesome! Just got some Elbit binos with Boomslang. Vs my Pvs-14 I already had, its insanely better.
Resolution decrease, would you recommend elbit tubes to go with them over photonis tubes?

Can you still wear eye pro under these lenses?

I’ll buy these to replace my rpo glass once the price comes down, it’s priced a little high right now!
It's $4,125 for a single 🤑

@@Tyborg425 for real...
No thanks. Completely kills your eye relief.

@@johnnydazzles1352 nothing in the lens world is free, everything comes at a cost. You can’t have your cake and eat it too.

No it doesn't kill the eye relief. Stop whining.
