Ingredients
1/2 cup Mustard oil
3 Cloves
1 black cardamom
1 kg mutton
3 tablespoon curd
2 tablespoon Dried ginger powder
6 tablespoon Fennel powder
Pinch of Asafoetida
2 tablespoon Kashmiri Red chilli powder
2 glass of water
Salt to taste

I had a Kashmiri Pandit as a friend.Being a Bong , and a non veg, I used to visit his house for this dish..They are real great cooks...Jio Dadi..Namaskar from a Bengali fan!!
Aren't most Bengali brahmins and Kashmiri brahmins non vegetarian? Also both cultures use mustard oil in their food.

Reminds me of my home and a teacher ,Ashok bhan sir from Habba kadal , his wife would sometimes prepare rogan josh and we would all sit down savour every bite,may Allah bring back the harmony to my homeland and dadi is the sweetest cook there is

1989 I travelled through India and came to Srinagar. On a houseboat on Dal Lake I was falling in love with kashmiri food. So very balanced but still spicy, well, just awsome.
My question is: why not to use safran as well, since it is grown there on huge farms?

I tried it 2 days back & had the best Rogan Josh of my life.
Never had anything like that ever before..not even in Kashmir to where I travel very frequently.
My family just loved it.
The addition of garlic & onion changed the game completely.

Dadi is Kashmiri, not from Baltistan!! Roganjosh is a Kashmiri recipe. There are Balti recipes online!
Dish and the way of cooking was good and yummy...only the thing ...the meat was washed in a sink...you might have used a utensil....which gives a healthy look....happy to see Dadi ji cooking at this age....Be blessed...🙏🙏🙏
