Yeah. I spotted the tongue in groove maker thing on the table saw tray thingy (I forget the correct term); literally a tiny piece of wood, and all that is needed to make the perfect corners on the box. Super impressed.

it's wonderful to see you do a project from start to finish completely by hand, without trowing a wooden plank on top a machine and then just waching assembled.thanks.

A long time ago, in a galaxy far far away, I made a tool box kinda like this one. It was when I was in shop class in High School. It was a wooden with two dividers and a wooden dowel for carrying handle. Nice work Jimmy! 🇺🇲 👍

There's so much beauty in something that looks simplistic but you know it isn't. That looks so much like the tool caddies my grandfather used to carry his smaller hand tools in. He had three of them that I remember seeing in his garage shop when I was a kid. Gonna have to grab me one of those flat packs now! Thanks, Jimmy, for the instant flashback memories!

Half round 3/4" hole in the face of each drawer front as a finger pull. And a bit of wax on the drawer bottom.
Mine was a framer's tool box bestowed on me by an old timer back in '81 when he saw me show up the first day with my tag sale copper framing square and brandy-new worm drive Skil Saw and the rest of my tools in a galvanized bucket.
The next day he brought a copy of his first box that he knocked together for me overnight. 3/4" ends and bottom, 1/2" sides with handle of 5/8ths black pipe, run 1" long thru the ends, held loose in place with 6d finish nails drilled and clinched over as one would with cotter pins. Inside the bottom was divided lengthwise, with one side divided by 3/4. It was 16" long, to hold a framing square, 8" wide and 6" deep.
About 20 years on I passed it to a newbie who as just breaking in, but about a year later I missed it so much I made me another... exactly like it.
And tho retired from all that it still holds some tools under the workbench, awaiting the day when they're tag sale'ing my "estate" and some young carpenter comes along offering 5 dollas for it.
If you sit real quiet with the box at your feet, in a house framed but not yet complete, at the end of the day after all have gone, you can hear the echoes of hand drive nails, pounded by hundred thou'.

I miss the old style videos where you talk us through what you are doing, and all the great tips and tricks that usually came with it. I realise that it is more work, and editing, but the result is so much more satisfying, and so much more useful than ‘just’ these no comment fast forwarding videos. Miss the banter too that always came with the basement videos 😄

Any of you folks ever heard of the "WOOD WRIGHTS SHOP " on PBS ??? Well I bet Mister DiResta has !!! The wood wright show how all of this was done with hand tools , way back when ... Machine tools are nice to have & use , but they are by no means required ... I am a 50 + year whittler / woodcarver , started in 1969 at the age of 17 , will be 70 in September .
