Actress, producer, writer, and activist Noa Tishby was born and raised in Tel Aviv and served two and a half years in the Israeli army before she landed a starring role on the nation’s highest-rated prime time drama Ramat Aviv Gimmel. She later moved to Los Angeles, where she sold the Israeli TV show In Treatment to HBO, making history as the first Israeli television show to become an American series. Soooo good! This video is so good! I love Noa! She’s amazing! I ordered her book and can’t wait to get it. So many nuggets information about Israel! And about her position as producer, yep, totally understand! When you are in the industry and a strong woman, you have to CONSTANTLY fight men in these situations! Incredible! But boy I love her fire! She’s such a voice for women!!!!
When I was a young boy Abba Eban's book came out. My father sat me down and explained to me what my life's responsibility was as a a Jew. He taught me to stand tall and to never go looking for a fight, but not to run from one either. My family instilled a sense of Yiddish'akite in me and I've never wavered. The Palestinian refugee issue is a self-inflicted wound to ensure that only those people can be denied resettlement or compensation except back into the country their sponsors attacked. Lebanon and Syria IIRC both deny Palestinians citizenship. It's also the only refugee status that is heritable to descending generations in perpetuity. The other Arabs consider their loss to Israel as an insult to their pride/dignity/honor and the prospect of destroying Israel as the only way to regain it. All the violence, conflict and dispossession since then they view as an acceptable trade-off to that goal.

Nice to know! In Quran Sura 28 : 4 - 6 the Holy Land is given away by Allah to the Jews. In this sura the prophet Muhammad himself recognizes Israel's right to their own land. Unfortunately, this text is in the friendly (Mecca) part of the Koran, which has since been abolishedby the 'Nasikh - principle'.
so, her assessment of "The World not knowing about Israel" is based on an actress in L.A. that thought Israel was Afghanistan ......? Then Noa goes on to say that person was "Educated, Obvioulsy Smart and Worldly" . . . . .Well, obvioulsy she wasn't any of those things. Just because someone found Fame in Hollywood does not make them smart or educated. (i'm out)

Mike, I am born in America. I look nothing like a middle eastern yet ignorant people ask me all the time “oh your family is Jewish, what part of Israel are you from? Then they try to hide their ignorance and begin to tell that they meant all ultra orthodox people in New York came from Israel. So dont be so shocked when someone thinks israel is a country of head covering women. The fact is a great percent age of women the region (muslim and orthodox) israeli’s do cover their heads. So it is NOT something not to believe. The real point here is that educated people are not fully educated in the region. If I can admit I dont have a full understanding to arabic tribal culture, than why is it so bad to say people dont fully understand israel. Noah’s concept is to enlighten people and let them make up their own minds. That said, it is great you voiced your concern. Dialogue helps for better understanding. Thank you for your post.
